Amazing. Much better than the first game. Great graphics, chalanging puzzles and at least not bad storyline. Pleasant surprise.

Visuals are more impressive than the first game and some really inventive puzzles. The difficulty curve is spot on. Certain things could be a tad better but overall a fun and challenging experience.

This is the best pure puzzle game I've played since portal. The narrative is captivating and is paced well between the puzzles, it leaves you thinking about every line, almost a puzzle in itself.

The graphics are very very nice. You will want to look around or stop and stare in many places. It's not distracting during puzzles, but is beautiful when it needs to be. It gives a very portal feel.

The puzzles. The most important part in a game like this. They are perfect. The difficulty slowly ramps up in a nice way, where you will be challenged more, but have the experience to solve it. New mechanics are introduced often enough that you do not get bored, but not so quick that you get overwhelmed.

I wish this game was a little longer, but it is probably long enough for most at around 5-6 hours.

Aesthetically less pleasing than Qbeh, this does feel more like a puzzle game and even has a story. From the combination of the two, maybe something could have come close to holding a candle to portal

There are unfortunately a bunch of problems with it though. For one thing, the puzzles are pretty easy for the most part. I think I only recall two where I was like "I'll come back to this tomorrow". And I'm not that good at puzzle games - as evidenced by other reviews where people write that they've finished QUBE 2 in 2 or 4 hours.
Also, while the visuals are of course a vast improvement and largely very nice to look at - for one thing, there are some textures with oddly low resolutions here and there (broken lights), some lens flares (those of the big rectangular, red lights) lag behind and overall, I didn't find the design to have enough variety. At least the indoor sections. Outdoor is fine (and looks pretty stunning) but indoor could've especially used more variation in terms of color. It reminded me of that Mirror's Edge time trials DLC where each level felt unique because of its color and structure. QUBE 2 does offer SOME variety but in my opinion, not enough.

Music seems a bit odd because sometimes, something fades in but most of the game is without. I think that they should've made a decision on whether there should be no music in general or everywhere.

The story is pretty decent but be warned - once you've finished the game, your save will be purged and you have to play it a second time if you want to see a different ending. But... there are no special perks or anything different about that second run. There's no way that I will do that because while it was very amusing, without any incentive aside from a different ending - no.

Qube 2 is a really good puzzle game. Just the right amount of difficulty imho. Not overly hard puzzles, but enough to make me stop and think without getting too frustrated. Just as I was starting to want to reach the end it found it's conclusion. If you like the game, I understand there are a couple DLC that increase the difficulty level if that is your thing.

I don't have much to say about the story other than there is one of a sci-fi nature to accompany you along the way. Story will not stick with me, but just enough to make me wonder what's going on.

Basic mechanics are variations of using blocks, bouncers, pushers, sliders, oil/fire, buttons, etc in proper series of combinations to complete levels. The design of the puzzle often will quickly tip you to what needs to be done, and other times it takes more observation to realize how all the components of a puzzle might fit together.

    I enjoyed this.

As a puzzle game this game is fairly entertaining and the right level of challenging, if a bit easy for some stretches. But the characters just make you want to punch them - annoying turns of phrase, affected accents, strangely familiar with each other for no reason at all, fairly dumb for supposed scientists... The silly puzzles ask for a more lighthearted tone, or a silent protagonist - these two pretending to be all serious-like in this extremely fantastical game world is beyond ridiculous. As long as they shut up, the game is enjoyable; play for the puzzles, not for the story. Expand

It's fun and relaxing. The visuals are an improvement compared to the first game. The story keeps you interested and moving forward, but isn't that compelling.

Even though the puzzles were fun to do, they lacked any real challenge. Most of the puzzles were easy and those that were supposed to be "harder" just contained more steps to solving the puzzle.

    Still a nice game.

QUBE 2 is a decent physics-based puzzle game, but it easily gets shadowed by Portal and The Talos Principle. The puzzles are simpler and get repetitive after awhile. I wouldn't recommend getting this unless you're out of other physics-based puzzle games to play.

The story is also completely bland. The strong point of the game is that the graphics are quite pretty.

Q.U.B.E. 2 is an almost pure puzzle game where there are some platform components. Emilia wakes up lost and without memory in what seems some sort of alien ruins. With the help of Emma's communications she tries to find a way back to Earth. Soon she begins to receive communications from another entity, but we will not get into big spoilers, right?
Graphically this game is very beautiful, even considering that 80% of the time is spent inside a giant cube, with cubic rooms and walls made of small cubes. Over time I began to consider that this might be related to the name of the game, but I still find that evidence inconclusive. At some point in time, the action starts to takes place in a more external environment and the characterization of a post-apocalyptic atmosphere is credible, without the traditional exaggerations of other games.
The music and sound effects are well thought out, with the music being very relaxing, not providing distractions in a game where it's important to be focused on the details. The only problem I point out is that often the music runs over dialogues, which makes them difficult to understand if we do not have the subtitles turned on.

The game itself made me immediately remember of Portal. Even with less than 30 seconds of game I was already saying that it was a blatant, all it was left to know was if it was good or bad.
In the game we have a suit that gives us the ability to manipulate structures to perform different actions, and those actions allow us to solve puzzles to access new areas. In addition to the structures we can manipulate, new game mechanics are gradually introduced to complicate our thinking process. That introduction is gradual and we never feel overwhelmed with information. The puzzles are mostly easy with the exception of three or four, which seem randomly introduced and not associated with any difficulty curve. Those require much more attempts, including trial and error, to solve. The controls are not immaculate, I have been mistaken multiple times in the structure I wanted to manipulate and sometimes it was not easy to time the jumps, which lead me to think if I was solving the puzzle correctly or if there was something that I was not seeing.
There was any moment of action or combat, which always gave me the feeling that I was solving puzzles only for the sake of solving them, there was no obvious notion of purpose in the game, which causes in the final stage of the about 6 hours that took me to finish the campaign, somewhat a feel of boredom and I just wanted to come to reach the end of it. This would be different if the story that the game gives us, the environment that the game tries to emulate to hinder a decision making really created some sort of doubt in our mind, but the choice that becomes obvious very early in the game is biased from the start. The game tries to create doubt in our heads, but in my opinion, soon we realize that we have to take a party in the future, and we also decided the side that we support rather quickly. In practice there is no antagonism in history, the information provided to us only confirms what we already know and what we will do when the time comes. I know it's not easy to do it properly, but if the story was balanced with this dyad, I might got more excited and want to know even more, but that was not the case.
I think I've said enough to realize that the game has more than one ending, however I did not feel minimally motivated to repeat all the puzzles just to see all the endings, I simply went to Youtube and that's it. For me no replay value whatsoever.

In a nutshell, Q.U.B.E. 2 is an excellent puzzle game. If you like this type of games, if you loved Portal this game is for you. Although it’s still a notch below it, with a story that could be more balanced, the final product remains a game well above the average that I have played. I’ve started and finished it in one go, I could not stop. We get the feeling that we're clever at solving all those puzzles and we do not want to stop. Try it. You will not regret.

The continuation of the famous CUBE game gave us even more sophisticated puzzles, decorated in a beautiful wrapper with modern graphics. The story here, finally, is completed. This time I am completely satisfied with the ending. And unlike the first part, it has a very pleasant, varied and interesting environment / zones.
