TerryD.Apr 4, 2005Let's see, overly complicated controls for an fast-paced shooter, cartoon-looking characters, and constant crashes. Not the worse FPS I've ever played, but not good. Some of the combat is not bad, but that's all it seems to be - one battle after another. Too bad, it looked like it might be good.

TonyL.Jun 2, 2005Pretty good game need a few online things fixing tho.

PeterBJul 13, 2007I found this, on the whole to be an average to middling game. The interface and HUD were a chore at best and a serious bother at worst, the plot line was fairly generic. This was supposed to be the "spiritual successor" to Deus Ex, but I found it to be just as disappointing as Deus Ex 2.

ChrisI.Jul 5, 2005Positives: cool cutscenes, online, and huge arsenal of weapons negatives: bugs, not a lot of people are ever online, expected more from this FPS.

Jun 12, 2013Not a bad, but also not a good game. A very average one. The story is a little boring, but in the first few minutes the gameplay is exciting. But after that it's nothing just an average fps.

Apr 18, 2022Project: Snowblind has signs of some good experience, but under-developed features and clashing design ultimately lead to the game hurting itself in its confusion.

Jul 30, 2020What's good of a PC game that doesn't let you turn off auto-aim? It also has sound glitches in the pause menu. Hard pass.

Aug 15, 2023Pretty boring game. I played because Gmanlives made a video 5 years ago saying that was a good one, and I believed. Hope you don't do the same mistake, that one is not worth it at all.
Awards & Rankings
-
Edge MagazineWhile Snowblind never truly escapes the feeling of being a well-dressed, derivative run’n’gun shooter, it never fails to get the running and gunning right, and in that respect, at least, it’s a sound success. [March 2005, p.86]
-
Play MagazineThe skillfully crafted Project: Snowblind calls on the best of what we enjoy about the genre, but the game feels nicely removed from the norm. [March 2005, p.52]

A solid, straightforward first-person shooter. It manages to stumble, gasping and grinning, from the no-man's land of "adequate" and into the green zone of "good," mostly due to the assorted flairs and presentational touches that make all the difference.
