This is a very good hero shooter with great heroes and unique abilities. Ive spent a lot if time in the first two Garden Warfare games, and this one stacks up remarkably well, imo. I do wish more people were playing it, as some modes are empty at certain times, but Team Vanquish population is pretty stable on PC at peak times, so I cant complain too much. This game is very fun. I have no issues when playing it other than Super Brainz being a bit too overpowered, but he definitely will be balanced in a near update like Nightcap. The game is obviously going to get updates like the first two games, so that’s good.

I know some people didn't like this game, but come on, there's so much possibility by eliminating the subclasses, now we can have more characters than before and it will be more fun!
And on my own opinion, this game it's very nice and fun! And this is different than the previous games, that makes it better! Because it's not the same thing over and over

    10/10 Nice game

I'm a huge fan of GW1 and 2, having over 2500 hours between them and BfN is different but in many good ways. I love it but I feel there's more work to be done here (balance, TTK is a bit too high, some PC users are having issues even if I'm not on my rig).

The lack of variants isn't as bad as some are saying. Both GW games were dominated by certain variants, rendering the others obsolete anyway. Having completely new characters added to the game is even better than variants and if they can get things fixed and add in new maps, characters, and customizations, it'll be even better.

The PvE free roam zones alone are worth the price of admission. The PvZ humor is here and is great as always. Highly recommended.

Also, I have seen a review stating that he wanted to play this game on PC with only one ode on two PCs. Welcome to the modern era genius, where you need to pay for services. It's the same thinking as giving you a small desk for one person and you use it for two, and still get mad because you cand fit two people there. The gamr is nice, it's fun. Yeah it has it's flaws but not that bad like people say. And no, i don't leave this review for promoting EA because I still have bad thoughts about it since Battlefield 5. Expand

I like the gameplay, graphics, character design and not optional purchase of characters in this game, because in the Garden Warfare 2 you seemed to be forced to buy legendary characters. In this game, we got rid of this problem because the developers decided to remove the subclasses of the characters and replaced them with upgrades that you can get absolutely free just by playing it.
Also, sprint was added to the game for all characters, which allows you to quickly move around a huge map.
4 pve zones were added to the game along which you can run and as for me this is the biggest plus of this game because in the GW2 you just ran around the lobby and completed some strange tasks from plants and zombies

The Garden Warfare series has always been about the crazy combat and the unique characters and ability's, and this doesn't miss out here, variants can be gone, but it's understandable since GW2 is a unbalanced game with its overpowered variants. The Garden Warfare series now go on a new direction, Battle For Neighborville, i'm gonna say my experiences as level 260. The Garden Warfare series now go on a new direction, Battle For Neighborville, i'm gonna say my experiences as level 260. The New Upgrade systems are great witch you can create your own character throw unique upgrades and ability's. 4 Maps, 2 for zombies,2 for plants, the story's behind these maps are basically the same with some minor things changed, you get three items trow fighting three bosses, and then you fight the " final boss " , witch to be honest aren't hard if you are quick enough, the map exploration is great, with a not-so-dumb-AI, there are hidden easter eggs, and also battles that can start in the streets if you find a zombie/plant champion and kill him. The Multiplayer matches are decent, i didn't experience any crashes or lag.The game also adds 6 new heroes, 3 Plants and 3 Zombies, all of them look great, the patches in October has buffed and nerfed some characters since the game in the Founder's Edition has really unbalanced, at least they fixed that. And dont worry that all characters from GW2 return as well. The New Progression systems is meh, you dont have cards to buy like in GW1 or GW2 anymore, now its a machine that you waste 30,000 in game coins to get a random item, these items can be a Appearance Customization, Emoji, Dances, or legendary items, the problem is, it's that you can take up 40-50 minutos to get around 30,000 coins and you randomly get a dance or emoji witch basically no one uses on multiplayer matches. In Conclusion, Battle For Neighborville might not be what some PVZ GW fans wanted, but it still provides a good experience for $39,99. Expand

I genuinely like the game, its fun with friends and has a lot of replayability in the story worlds, but I won't say that it is perfect, I like the fact that they removed the chance aspect of Possibly getting a character that you really want, but it is missing that garden warfare charm, it plays like a 3rd person shooter with linear PvP maps that you would normally see in a game, Like TF2I genuinely like the game, its fun with friends and has a lot of replayability in the story worlds, but I won't say that it is perfect, I like the fact that they removed the chance aspect of Possibly getting a character that you really want, but it is missing that garden warfare charm, it plays like a 3rd person shooter with linear PvP maps that you would normally see in a game, Like TF2 or CS:GO, and the upgrade system rewards players that stick with 1 character, wanna try Imp? sorry but you have already invested a lot of time in Dead beard and it will give you a disadvantage, also, some of the passive abilities that were in GW1/2 are not here or don't show it, sunflower revives people fast but anyone with the perk that allows revives faster is going to have the same revive speed as a weaker sunflower. Also, remember those other perks? you know, fast burrow, super chilli bean bomb and extra sticky goop? they aren't in here either.

overall, it is a good introduction to a 3rd person shooter but Not a good introduction to the GW series But I will give some hope, due to the fact that it is early in its lifespan

It is a great game in all aspects, my personal opinion is that it is better than the other 2 games in the Garden Warfare franchise, but I need to highlight some points of extreme importance,
I am Brazilian and unfortunately many players are missing in multiplayer, all games are missing players, it is necessary to enter a North American server to be able to play, and this forces me to play

I loved being a lttle pod shooter, hunting down a yeti, fighting a vampire… I loved this campaign.. untili didn’t anymore.. the campaign here feels more like a demo of what could be rather than a full fledged single player campaign, I mean each of the 4 sections main missions can be completed in an hr each.. its really a joke, as after you complete the 5 main quests its really just map cleaning and in game trophy list clearing… but I loved what could be and what should be done in the future.. theres potential with an actual open world dead island rpg like quest system with a dash of some Mario.. there is a great vaiety of character and polish here. So I would love to see the team go all in on something like this, it could be really special… but for what it is now, its repetive boring tower defense stuff once the game exhausts its charm… and then its onto online, capture the flag, team tower defense, hoard mode, and the family friendly version of a call of duty team death match..andfor me personally, the death match is where all of the fun is outside of the first hour of this games campaign,
youre on team plants or zombies, each chratcer has unique abilities and trates to make no 2 matches the same if you don’t want them to be… and you have even gain experience and level these characters up… but again the charm just evaporates… theres so much character depth here in battle for neighborville, theres so much potential.. theres just no great game to go with the grear mechanics and variety… I say scrap this cod wanna be and become a Mario wanna be.. this 3d world of plants vs zombies has so much potential, and right now its being wasted in the bargain bin… battle for neighborville offers about 4 hours of fun, it has everything in it to be amazing.. but its potential just isn’t fully realized and that breaks my heart.

Plants Vs Zombies Battle For Neighbourvile takes out a lot of things which were loved in the last 2 garden warfare games, such as classes for each plant and zombies. They ruined Garden Ops making it horrible with only 5 stages without bosses. Multiplayer is extremely unbalanced and in my opinion adding sprinting to the game made it worse.

This nonsense of sell it now, patch it later needs to die! Games should not be releasing in this state.

Furthermore, they changed the core mechanics of the PvP from Team Fortress 2 style, to Overwatch... for seemingly no reason other than to cash in on that hype. Paladins is doing it, why not PvZ? Well here's why... you dun split your fan base Popcap! YA DUN F@$%#^ it up son! Not to mention they nuked Variants, most of the motivation people had to keep grinding coins lol. I get it, balance was too much, but the game is still horribly unbalanced.

Maps are uninspired compared to the original 2 games, and are mostly rehashed areas from the free roam regions. Very disappointed with the maps for PvP.

Superbrains still dominates and MOST classes still need balancing. The game had zero advertising $ pumped into it and now it's clear why. They didn't want to invest the money, they knew this was a risky move. As of right now, that risk IS NOT paying off.

So yeah, split fanbase, terrible performance, balancing issues but a very fun PvE focus and co-op. Sadly those two things are not why most people flock to the series.

When the game decides to not lag, it has similar gameplay to the original, only with a lot less customization, no variants, lackluster upgrades and every character feels weaker.

Quality of life improvements include every character having a sprint and reviving is better.
The game also includes a battlepass system and more microtransactions than previous games

Most of the enjoyment from this is since I enjoyed the older ones so much and want this to be good so badly :(

Just missing something what the previous two had. Personally I liked the different ccharacter variants, it gave the game a bit more of an edge. You'd see someone playing well with a certain type of variant and want to try and unlock it to give it a go. It's a shame to be honest they got rid because for me that was one of the best thing about this series.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is an amazing next chapter in the series. Its story campaign alone is enough to warrant a buy. It’s not just the graphics, the characters, or the amazing multiplayer that makes it a must buy, it’s the charm that the developers have dialed into this game. Every minute playing feels like you’re on track to discover something ridiculously funny and over the top. Though there are a few key tweaks needed to make the battles spot on, it’s the culmination of other things that make this a great game.
