A great third-person shooter that aims to be family-friendly. It takes what previous games did well and adds more content to it at a lower price. PopCap Games knows how to develop a cast of silly and uniquely designed characters.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is an amazing next chapter in the series. Its story campaign alone is enough to warrant a buy. It’s not just the graphics, the characters, or the amazing multiplayer that makes it a must buy, it’s the charm that the developers have dialed into this game. Every minute playing feels like you’re on track to discover something ridiculously funny and over the top. Though there are a few key tweaks needed to make the battles spot on, it’s the culmination of other things that make this a great game.

Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is a fun, engaging and content-filled game that, in addition to offering a strong online player-vs-player component, is packed full of content that will keep even the most ardent of solo-players engaged. Proving that Electronic Arts can get live service games right, because this will be a live service game thanks to the pending premium currency store, this is still one game that has taken me by surprise and I can do nothing but recommend to anybody and everybody.

Battle for Neighborville is a really solid shooter, deeper and more complex than what you might think. It doesn’t do anything new or very exciting, but everything it does it does it well.

Up for some quick fun? Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville might be for you —it features a wide range of cool characters, nice graphics, and lots of small maps for chaotic, explosive teamplay. Just don’t expect anything deep or complex to play in a coordinated squad, cause there’s none of that in this game.

PVZ: Battle for Neighborville’s messy maps and repetitive solo campaigns are rescued by an exciting and cute roster and varied multiplayer modes.

Unfortunately, aside from its more robust PvE offering and unique new characters, most of the other changes that have been made in Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville haven’t been for the better.

My friend and I are avid fans of PvZ, and we absolutely despised this game. It is almost unplayable on PC because we managed to get a terrible 3 fps with a **good** computer. The community team is also pretty ass overall and unfriendly, they do not allow you to criticize the game, the changes only make characters worse, and the game is padded out for decades for a game with almost no content. I bought us two copies because the Origin game service does not allow you to use the same account on two computers. We were both unfortunately met with unplayable frame-rates, and other issues. They even forced one of our computers to be upgraded to Windows 10 because it does not support non Windows 10 systems. : ( Full Review »

The new perk system is really not that great it doesn't really make much difference than playing without them and they are not unique, I hate that they removed elemental stuff. Tho my biggest point is that the movement is really clumsy and slow. Also, a really big problem is that you can't really hit anything and you don't make much damage either. For example is GW and GW2 I often had games where I made 40+ kills, now I cant even hit 10 kills. Full Review »
