Wow, I just lost my money. I'm really thankful for the steam refund option. Ppl are like "it's quite good game" in reviews but it is not! It's a waste of your time. It's not even a game. I spent 20 minutes reading about how bad life was for a jobless guy in some little town. The art style is well done (I bought this game because of it) but oh no no no! There are 3 things in this game -Wow, I just lost my money. There are 3 things in this game - Graphics, Random Text (English teacher would grade it B-) and the promise. The promise of a better game in the future (for which you will have to spend more money). Because this Part 1 is 1hr of gameplay (or even less if you don't want to waste time reading about not going to a college because of idk, it's not important!). Only 1hr of reading. Linear reading. It's like someone took a novel and decided to give it more images, some camera movement and to show you the text. Not dialogues - text. There is a huge amount of expositions. You just have to read boring stuff about not important stuff. I'm just tired of trying to take it seriously. It's a joke.
Oh... And games should... I don't know, maybe should have mechanics. Let's agree on one mechanic. Whatever. In this so-called "game", the main mechanic is to click left mouse button to continue to the next dialogue. Or text. Or exposition. Just to continue reading.
Why 2/10? It's not like I'm hating only for the hate. I have seen the good scenery, some scraps of concept and you know what? A lot of wasted potential. And this feels bad. Because someone could do it better. A way better. Just with those graphics and time. I bet You (to the reader) could write better dialogues and it would be more interesting than this game.
I would recommend this game for ppl that are new to the game industry to study this as an example of how not to make games.

Thanks Gaben for your refund system. Now I'm after reading my own review and I didn't even know how angry I was. I really tried to be impartial, but I guess it didn't work well.

Frankly, this is not a great visual novel. There definitely are noticeable flaws, and overall, the script needs one or two solid overhauls. But the game contains some potential, and it managed to hold some of my interest. While I cannot recommend Part 1 as a stand-alone entry, Perseverance may be able to reach its missed potential in Part 2.

The graphics are great, but the story and the characters could use more development. The choices you make don’t feel like they matter to the outcome of this brief experience.
