    Best game play potential of any game I've played to date. I'm sure in the upper levels of coordinated game play this game is amazing. That being said I score it a 7. The matchmaking in this game is the sorriest excuse for a matchmaking system I've ever seen. There is 0 balance at the lower competitive tiers. You have your usual smurf accounts but blizzard actual did a great job handlingBest game play potential of any game I've played to date. The matchmaking in this game is the sorriest excuse for a matchmaking system I've ever seen. There is 0 balance at the lower competitive tiers. You have your usual smurf accounts but blizzard actual did a great job handling them. However if you lose a handful of game in placements and wind up in gold or lower just give up on that competitive season if you solo queue like I do. I can't tell you how many times I join a game only to have a team full of idiots only pick damage characters... The game is next to unwinnable at that point if the other team has even half of a brain. There are tons of ways to fix this. They could implement a top 5 character selection when you start a queue and at least try to find some form of a balanced team composition for you to group with. Not only that, but you can queue up against anyone within +or- 1000 SR of yourself... this opens the door for better players to offer bad players a "carry" which means that they go in wreck all the kids that havent got a clue whats going on and boost the other account. There are even people making money off of this nonsense... At the end of the day Overwatch is a brilliant game with great characters and fun game play but because it so heavily relies on teamwork for you to stand a fighting chance it would be really nice if they took people who solo queue games into consideration. I'd be more than willing to wait 10 mins a match if it meant i'd have a team with the right composition. even an option between that and regular queue would be nice.… Expand

    A game bursting with excellent characters, art style, voice acting, and personality. However my fault with this game comes with its gameplay:
    - Too much disparity of difficulty between characters (eg. mercy and genji)
    - Healing regenerates far too much health, and so far only Ana has any antihealing abilities - Team comps are generally quite restrictive and revolve around a meta. -    A game bursting with excellent characters, art style, voice acting, and personality.     It is a shame that all of the great things involved with this game are overshadowed by its completely abysmal and lacking matchmaking system. On a game that revolves around matchmaking, it completely blows my mind how poor the competitive matchmaking is.     All the pieces for a great game are here, the art is beautiful, the maps pull you in with details and hidden stories, there are unique characters that don't seem like forced stereotypes.

    The two major detractors, are Blizzard (the developer of the game), and it's community. I didn't factor the community into my score, so lets focus on how Blizzard has handled the game since release.     They completely randomize balance in the game, seemingly throwing a dart and spinning a wheel to see who gets nerfs and who gets a buff. They created this game with what seems an eSports focus (lots of stuff even happening in beta) but have done updates/balancing with casual play in mind. Im fine with either or, but it tries to play both sides of the field without doing a good job at either. I would honestly believe this game would be much better if they handed the rest of the development off to another company.    … Expand

    Oh and you're paying full 60 dollar price (or 40) for a multiplayer only game with no campaign. But it's okay, Blizzard makes this game. We    Amazing fun.     First of all: I really want Overwatch to be a good game. I really do. A worthy competitor to the unbeatable giant that TF2 is, would be better for everyone. For once the TF-Team would have some competition again. Valve overall is a giant in the world. Name one platform selling games that has even the chance to be better than Steam. But Overwatch with it's "good looking graphics" and "goodFirst of all: I really want Overwatch to be a good game. I really do. A worthy competitor to the unbeatable giant that TF2 is, would be better for everyone. For once the TF-Team would have some competition again. Valve overall is a giant in the world. Name one platform selling games that has even the chance to be better than Steam. But Overwatch with it's "good looking graphics" and "good sound" combined with not even challenging and repetitive gameplay is just sad. "Hey, why not make a way to play the game that costs a little more effort from the player than just pressing shift for xy?" Nah. Balance is most of the time just broken af and every update solves one problem, but causes another one. I just mention the Mercy rework. First she was perfectly fine, then the rework came and she was stupidly OP, then got nerfed into the ground till she is pretty much useless compared to other support Hero's. And all that goes on and on. Fancy graphics with literally no exciting gameplay and such a small learning curve as Overwatch has it won't keep a game alive that long. It's -sadly- just another pile of useless AAA junk that some people were throwing on the market. Make it good or just don't make it... Even though I have to mention: It CAN be fun for 2-3 matches every few days, but the matches are too repetitive for me. It is one of those games which have the same **** formula for every single match. That's why I rate 2/10. Because you can have at least a bit fun with it for a short period of time.… Expand

Ignoring the commonly accepted opinion by the people that this game is most definitely not balanced, An online-only multiplayer online shooter should be balanced from the start. It is not some kind of extra feature that the developers put in as a surprise, its something it should have from the start. That's like saying that a bowl of ice cream you just made is the best ice cream in the world because it has a spoon. The reasoning is just plain flawed. Overwatch came out the exact same year other games that deserve the spot as game of the year did. Some Examples include Dark Souls 3, DOOM, Inside, Final Fantasy 15, Uncharted 4, and Even Battlefield 1.
    All in all, the reasoning behind the criticism of this game is generally flawed and the community somehow ends up being worse than the fnaf community which is surprising.    … Expand

    I understand why people like it but it is far from my style of game, i dunno, im just not the tactical kind of guy i guess, i just enjoy simple mindless multiplayer shooters like call of duty. Call me a cod casual, but i just feel like this game was overhyped

    Overwatch was my go-to game for years. Shame they stopped updating it and deleted it in favour for the greedy cash grab that is Overwatch 2. Blizzard no longer cares about its core player base and would rather just milk money from cosmetics. R.I.P Overwatch. You used to be something special.

The game is ruined by enormous amount of cheaters and ppl who use macro-functions, also there are loads of trolls/smurfs and simple glitch abuses. I recieve at least 2 usual 'thanks' for the reports per day, but at some point i had enough of this. Player base is very toxic here, the way more toxic then anywhereI've played the game for almost 4 years now and have to say something about it. Quick play, Arcade and custom games are very fun, and it's easy to pump a few hours into them. Competitive isn't exactly my cup of tea since season 9.     There is currently one mayor issue with this game however, and that's new content. Each event has less and less content with every year that goes by. Lucioball 4 times in a row and only 4 new legendary skins? That's a no from me. They are puting too much focus on the OWL, and the community suffers from this by the lack of content and slow updates. The comics as well as the cinematic trailers are very hard to come by as well. The last time a new cinematic popped up was almost 9 months ago.

But at its worse, if you are allergic to cringe inducing dialogues like myself while playing your games you will want to tear OVERWATCH A NEW A-HOLE and wish all the heroes were simply mutes to begin with. They all talk like self abosbed bum-holes and everytime they open their mouths i instantly loose all interest to play.

    Great game if you have patience enough to lose dozens of times. It's not satisfying when you win 3 matches and then loose another 7. For me, playing Overwatch was stressful, so I gave up.

    Juego casi abandonado, hereos rotos. más de 5 minutos para jugar y cuando encuentra partida, el equipo contrario son todos de level 90 y tu equipo de level 10 a 20. Totalmente desbalanceado y no se disfruta para nuevos jugadores. Solo lo recomiendo a los que juegan hace tiempo y se saben todos los héroes y habilitades, para nuevos mejor evitarlo.

Almost all heroes that have been added post-launch have power crept the game to a point where it's just not fun to play. Blizzard's balance philosophy is to make the least effort, easiest to play characters as effective as the skill and aim-intensive heroes. Matchmaking in competitive play in atrocious and the role queue system has made the queue times awfully long in the high elo ranks, and depending on your region the game may be unplayable completely. Overall? Don't bother. There are much better multiplayer games than Overwatch. If you're looking for a fun shooter game, this is not it.… Expand

    Despite all the problems that happened in this game, the lack of content before the release of Overwatch 2, the influx of smurfs on free weekends, but only now I understand that this game was legendary.

    You saved us as much as you could. Rest in peace, Hero.

Эта игра выводи из себя как никая другая, из-за очень токсичного комюнити. Blizzard Entertainment’s commitment to innovative new heroes, modes and responding to community feedback is unparalleled – and a treat to watch.     I'm certain that Overwatch will bring dozens of hours of fun to all lovers of dynamic online shooters. Focusing on one type of gameplay and an enormous attention to detail generated an excellent game. You have to appreciate the developers' sincerity when discussing doubts and problems with the community. Blizzard has done it again. You should see for yourself why so many players have fallen under Overwatch's spell.

    Overwatch is a punch to the face for multiplayer shooters. It mingles quick-fix, objective-based gameplay with a deep tactical core and intelligent meta, forming a game that is simply perfect in short bites and thoroughly satisfying to play for hours on end.
