    I never though I would say this but this DLC made my balls feel the most genuine version of human terror.

    Outlast: Whistleblower is an exhilarating and compact prequel that lives up to the hype without overstaying its welcome. It delivers just the right balance of thrills and gore, along with solid pacing. Additionally, it introduces one of the series' finest antagonists in the form of Eddie Gluskin. He's got a tightly structured story that is near flawless in execution, and the absolute BESTOutlast: Whistleblower is an exhilarating and compact prequel that lives up to the hype without overstaying its welcome. It delivers just the right balance of thrills and gore, along with solid pacing. Additionally, it introduces one of the series' finest antagonists in the form of Eddie Gluskin. He's got a tightly structured story that is near flawless in execution, and the absolute BEST smile (If he wasn't so horribly homicidal, he could totally swoon me with that smile)!
    While the flagship game may have been a few hours too long, this DLC rounds out to the perfect length of time. Honestly, buy this. Whistleblower is the definitive Outlast experience!    … Expand

    This DLC, in my opinion is better than the story with Miles. The only thing I can say is that this is how a M rated game looks like! The way Gluskin murders everyone is so horrific. 10/10! One of the best DLC to a cool story.

    Alright, so here is my final and most honest review for Outlast 1 & Outlast Whistleblower DLC -

    I will begin with the main game and then share my thoughts about the DLC as well. Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of the franchise since 2013, Outlast is the game that got me into gaming and the horror genre at a young age, and I am so grateful to have this game be the reason    Alright, so here is my final and most honest review for Outlast 1 & Outlast Whistleblower DLC -

    I will begin with the main game and then share my thoughts about the DLC as well.

    Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of the franchise since 2013, Outlast is the game that got me into gaming and the horror genre at a young age, and I am so grateful to have this game be the reason I fell in love with games as a whole.
    From stunning visuals, sound design, and gameplay to the profound lore and disgusting, gory environments and characters, this game has it all, or may I say experience, since once you start playing, you forget what reality is. You simply get involved in all the hell-like stuff this experience has ready for you.
    Let me be honest and tell you that this is NOT Amnesia. You are not here to solve puzzles; you are here to run, hide or die.
    Every second feels like it might be the last as the game never lets you get a breath from the constant chases and eerie music blasting in your ears.
    Outlast is simply an experience that you MUST go through if you call yourself a horror genre fan. There isn't, and probably never will be, a game that does what Outlast 1 did when it comes to horror; it's simply that unique and different from all the junk we've seen through the years. No technical improvements and shiny marketing can beat something that Red Barrels developed with love and passion.
    I simply can't find something that will even get CLOSE to the polish that this game has for an indie game from 2013; of course, the game has its issues, but it's nothing major or easy to find if you are simply here for the experience and don't start poking your nose around.
    I don't want to go in-depth with the problems the game has because, as I already stated, they are such easy to ignore things that I doubt many people will even notice.
    Overall this is an experience that I will never forget and get bored of. I can play this game again and again and enjoy it every single time, and even after hundreds of hours spent consuming content for this game and playing it for myself, the end credits still make me cry with joy every time. I love this game and the people that made it.

    Now, the DLC. Outlast Whistleblower -

    Everything I said for the main game applies to this too. Outlast Whistleblower is not a DLC; Outlast Whistleblower is a different product.
    Set in the same environment as the first one, with the events happening a little earlier than the ones in the main game, this does not feel like the typical DLC you would get with your regular AAA games nowadays. This is arguably a scarier and even grosser experience, filled with new places to visit in the Asylum and new bone-chilling characters to meet.
    You're going to like Eddie ;)
    There is nothing more I can say for the DLC as it's simply a whole new experience in the same universe with the same feel and looks. It's more Outlast 1, but better at times.

    It probably wasn't hard to see how much of a fan I am for this game, but trust me, I am hard to be satisfied, so when I tell you this game can not be beaten 'till today, I am not lying. Outlast is something that I will always keep sincerely in my heart. I love it.

    If I didn't play with 2 friends I don't know i could beat this game. It's a pretty good horror game.

    Il gioco base, ma con personaggi che non hanno scopo chiaro se non ucciderti, lo stesso gameplay ripetitivo (problema del gioco originale, c'è da dire), e un sacco di elementi riciclati (sentite bene l'audio, capirete di cosa parlo).

    I love Outlast, I had a great time playing the first game. I naturally tried Whistlerblower and just didn't enjoy it at all. I found the game extremely repetitive, frustrating, and actually...kind of boring. The fourth time I had to deal with the first insane person (the butcher sorry don't know his name), I was so disappointed that I was still dealing with him I turned the game off. AsI love Outlast, I had a great time playing the first game. I naturally tried Whistlerblower and just didn't enjoy it at all. I found the game extremely repetitive, frustrating, and actually...kind of boring. The fourth time I had to deal with the first insane person (the butcher sorry don't know his name), I was so disappointed that I was still dealing with him I turned the game off. As far as DLC goes it's well made, it's a large DLC which is nice and adds a lot to the first game. I recommend giving it a try, again it is well done, I just found the game extremely repetitive and not scary at all.… Expand

    Outlast is the best example of struggle a human can give in life.
    But the only problem is that Outlast and Whistleblower get into a vicious circle. In other words, the game loops like take key, hide and run.
    Apart from that, the cutscenes are wonderfully designed.

    The Whistleblower DLC was criminally underrated by the critics. It provided more precise details about the story of Mount Massive Asylum and how exactly people were extorted to prevent investigations from the authorities. Remember that is a DLC. It doesn't need to reinvent the wheel.     Amazing DLC for an amazing game. Goes deeper into the lore behind Mount Massive and gives you more frightening encounters with its various patients. Same gameplay and graphic design as the standard game, which was just fine for my experience. Totally worth your money and time.

Те же пейзажи, коридоры, но только в обратном порядке, т.е. с базы опытов к началу оригинальной игры. Интересно, но не так как проходить оригинал. Собственно 7/10, по факту ничего нового игра не несетПо факту тоже самое, но глазами другого участника игры. На самом деле дополнение больше маркетинговое, чем самостоятельная игра. Widać, że twórcy postawili na ciężki klimat, czym trafili w przysłowiową dziesiątkę! Aż szkoda, że są to raptem dwie godziny zabawy… to jednak tylko dodatek, więc nie będę się do tego przyczepiał. Podczas gry spotkamy przeciwników, którzy będą chcieli nasOutlast: Whistleblower zapewnił mi moc niesamowitych wrażeń - tytuł ten po prostu emanuje strachem, przemocą i brutalnością. Widać, że twórcy postawili na ciężki klimat, czym trafili w przysłowiową dziesiątkę! Aż szkoda, że są to raptem dwie godziny zabawy… to jednak tylko dodatek, więc nie będę się do tego przyczepiał. Podczas gry spotkamy przeciwników, którzy będą chcieli nas poćwiartować, ugotować lub… za pomocą piły przerobić na kobietę i… może więcej nie będę zdradzał. Tytuł ten zdecydowanie nie nadaje się dla każdego gracza, gdyż - tak jak pisałem wcześniej - o jakiejkolwiek subtelności w straszeniu możemy tutaj zapomnieć. Zamiast tego dostajemy za to przemyślany, wciągający i przede wszystkim dopracowany tytuł, który zapewni Wam wiele niesamowitych emocji. Szkoda jedynie, że rozgrywka kończy się tak szybko, ale nie będę już zrzędził… w końcu nie można mieć wszystkiego. Miłej zabawy :-)

    + klimat grozy, który niestety nie każdemu przypadnie do gustu…
    + ale fani horrorów będą wniebowzięci^^
    + grafika i projekt etapów
    + wizja artystyczna świata gry
    + wciągająca rozgrywka
    + to aktualnie „najstraszniejsza” gra tego roku

    Minusy:
    – mimo, że to tylko DLC, to jednak chciałoby się pograć trochę dłużej…

    Outlast Whistleblower is a perfect dlc for the main game. Even though the scares are the same as the main Outlast game, there are a few more terrifying moments which were intense throughout. I would of expected it to be a bit longer, and to make it less frustrating at certain moments because it takes away a bit of the experience. The sounds and the atmosphere are still perfect, same withOutlast Whistleblower is a perfect dlc for the main game. Even though the scares are the same as the main Outlast game, there are a few more terrifying moments which were intense throughout. I would of expected it to be a bit longer, and to make it less frustrating at certain moments because it takes away a bit of the experience. The sounds and the atmosphere are still perfect, same with the night vision effect. Overall, i would give this a 7/10.… Expand

    Here, the story is far better written, much more interesting. Game park has something not first but unfortunately it is only a maximum of DLC and ends in 2:30.

    Even better than the original. The enemies are more psycho than the original game. Have to admit it has more bright sectors than the original, but the atmosphere is awesome.

    I Really enjoyed the first Outlast, and i had to play this DLC, It's good for a dlc, I't doesn't bring nothing new for the game mechanics, the new Stalkers are not so memorable, but still is cool, and one part of the game really drives you insane.
    The ending in this game is great, it should have been the ending of the original Outlast

    The same pattern all over again. Intriguing start and really good ending, but incredibly boring and tedious core in the middle. Outlast had such an amazing ending that I hoped the DLC would continue from there and exactly that happened, but it pretty slowly turns into the same annoying running away from some guy as the main game so in the end I couldn't really enjoy it that much, butThe same pattern all over again.     Though the mystery of what happened in Mount Massive was already discovered, developer Red Barrels has shown that there are plenty of new horrors that can be built, even more grotesque than then those left behind.

    Whistleblower just finished a tale of uncommon insanity. He raised the level of brutality, and explained several mysteries from Outlast's plot. However, the number of manhunts with psychopaths has been unnecessarily increased, and maybe there is too much of a rove in the game's setting. Otherwise, Whistleblower is brutal and an (un)enjoyable experience.
