Whistleblower just finished a tale of uncommon insanity. He raised the level of brutality, and explained several mysteries from Outlast's plot. However, the number of manhunts with psychopaths has been unnecessarily increased, and maybe there is too much of a rove in the game's setting. Otherwise, Whistleblower is brutal and an (un)enjoyable experience.

For Outlast fans and horror aficionados alike, a return to the demented halls of Mount Massive is exactly what the doctor ordered.

More of this quality can't be a bad thing, even though you're not as panicked anymore as you were when the main game came around.

Whistleblower is a short and predicable first DLC for Outlast. It's very obscure and bloody. Waylon Park also uses a video camera, like Miles. This is his only weapon to face the cannibal.

Whistleblower's story and gameplay does very little new and it's a predictable game, but this DLC for Outlast still has a great atmosphere.

While Whistleblower sheds a bit of light on the mysteries of the original, but ultimately feels far too familiar, far too often.

Found it even better than the original. Grisly, Hardcore, in your face horror. Love the setting and the characters. There are some scenes that will stick with you. Especially later on. I feel like I am reading a horror novel. Except living it. Imagine playing something like this on the Oculus Rift someday..how amazing and frightening would that be? Good to see there are still companies out there willing to do games this extreme. The original Dead Space is the only one I can think of in the last 10 years. To American developers: There are still mature gamers out there! Can't wait to see what else Red Barrels cooks up. Highly recommended. Full Review »

Kudos to Red Barrels for a DLC that improves in every way on an already great game. This is how DLC should be done. Well worth the price of admission.
