May 12, 2014Outlast: Whistleblower's a very good horror DLC like the original game. This DLC offers: a very good story and more gore, scary moments to the horror lovers. Even the gameplay mechanics's still same, the DLC gives us a key character: Waylon Park.

Pelit (Finland)Jun 12, 2014Whistleblower does a good job explaining the original Outlast's storyline. [June 2014]
-
Jul 8, 2014Though the mystery of what happened in Mount Massive was already discovered, developer Red Barrels has shown that there are plenty of new horrors that can be built, even more grotesque than then those left behind.

May 14, 2014Whistleblower is a great addition to a very good original Outlast. The fear factor is a bit weaker, than in the basic game, but there are plenty of strong emotions. The gameplay mechanics are recycled, but the game adds great story and a much heavier atmosphere. And you have to be satisfied with a worthy finale to really a dark story. All in all - great DLC.
-
May 7, 2014If horror is meant to plumb your fears and unnerve you, The Whistleblower at least manages that to do so a few times. For the rest, it’s a fun return to the stock release’s setting and mechanics for some solid jump scares and atmosphere, which lasts just long enough to remind of what made the original enthralling.
-
May 12, 2014Outlast: Whistleblower is a good DLC with at least two big advantages; it's not boring as Outlast, which in the long run could become repetitive, and is much more driven side gore-violence, with some really disturbing and excessive scenes.
-
Jun 13, 2014Whistleblower just finished a tale of uncommon insanity. He raised the level of brutality, and explained several mysteries from Outlast's plot. However, the number of manhunts with psychopaths has been unnecessarily increased, and maybe there is too much of a rove in the game's setting. Otherwise, Whistleblower is brutal and an (un)enjoyable experience.
-
May 11, 2014For Outlast fans and horror aficionados alike, a return to the demented halls of Mount Massive is exactly what the doctor ordered.
-
May 9, 2014More of this quality can't be a bad thing, even though you're not as panicked anymore as you were when the main game came around.
-
May 7, 2014Whistleblower is a short and predicable first DLC for Outlast. It's very obscure and bloody. Waylon Park also uses a video camera, like Miles. This is his only weapon to face the cannibal.
-
May 8, 2014Whistleblower's story and gameplay does very little new and it's a predictable game, but this DLC for Outlast still has a great atmosphere.
-
May 8, 2014While Whistleblower sheds a bit of light on the mysteries of the original, but ultimately feels far too familiar, far too often.

May 7, 2014Kudos to Red Barrels for a DLC that improves in every way on an already great game. This is how DLC should be done. Well worth the price of admission.
