Jun 7, 2019There are several issues in the game but the one that killed it for me is the awful fish-eye perspective.
That and I never had a reply from support about the issue. -
Aug 4, 2019Graphics and art style are very good
but the controls, frustrating puzzles and dump saving system makes it below average for me -

Jun 14, 2019The mouse sensitivity on PC is absolutely fukked. The input options have minimal effect, so for those of us who don't like high sensitivity aiming, controlling the camera is absurdly difficult.
The game looks nice, but this is the first time - ever, I think - that I simply cannot play a game that I bought because the control scheme is busted. It's a real shame. -
Jun 19, 2020Broken save game system and mouse control problems.
Could have been a decent game, but these problems make it a pain to play. -

Jan 10, 2022Game is fun as hell, but be aware it has a resetting loop every 22 minutes and when that happens, you have to start all again, travel to the planets again etc, of course that you remember all the discovered things but still is a mechanic so stupid!

Jun 3, 2019Awful cartoony graphics, bad controls, missing dialogues the planets are tiny and the physics are a joke the game is just a mess t it should cost around $10 it's overpriced for a 2019 title even No Man's Sky is a better game from this. This is like a game made for 10 year old kids and it's a very poor attempt i refunded
-
Feb 26, 2020Terrible controls, stupid visuals, simple story and characters, no point to the game
-
Jun 13, 2019You can't quit when you want and continue at another time. In other words, really stupid save system. I don't have time for that kind of BS.
-
Jun 24, 2019The whole rinse and repeat thing is horrible for a video game. Doing the same thing over and over trying to figure out whats going on got really old, really fast! Horrible idea, would have been great if not for this game breaking mechanic.
-
Sep 21, 2019Another critically hyped but boring to play game. If you don't like the first hour, get a refund because its just more of the slow-paced, control fiddly frustrating interface and rambling story that you might as well be playing a text adventure.
-
May 21, 2021A tour de force of poor game design with a banjo strapped to your helmet. I was thrilled to finally get to this game given the hype, but instead I got two non-stop hours of "wander the universe and figure out these milquetoast puzzles or something" while piloting the world's most inconvenient spacecraft.
-
Feb 22, 2020Doesn't work properly unless you cap your framerate to 60 in the driver settings. Fix your game.

Jun 15, 2019I was interested in this game, but it wasn't what I expected at all
It's fun for about an hour and then it loses steam and becomes a nuisance
And for a game that looks no better than most 360/PS3 games, it sure is demanding I'd suggest you avoid this game or get it when it's available for $5, no more than that
No man's sky is -
Jun 24, 2022Refunded the game because of horrible, horrible controls.
The sensitivity is all over the place, even when fiddling with sensitivity-controls.
All controls seem totally counter-intuitive.
The "controller recommended" prompt at the start-screen should've been a dead-giveaway...
but who would've thought that you could f**k up simple FPS-controls so much?! -
Aug 8, 2021Bought this game blind because of friends recommendations. It has good music and an interesting story. However, if you're not paying absolutely 100% attention to everything you won't understand what to do and the quest/objective log sucks. In my opinion this game is overrated.
-
Jun 4, 2021To be fair, it is an interesting game, and really great to see cosmic visual spectacles. I am just personally not very into this style of exploring+puzzle solving gameplaying style without clear storyline guidance.
-
Dec 30, 2019I really wish I enjoyed this game. There's definitely something there, but everything just feels so static and dead to me. The main menu music had me drawn in from the very first few bars, but aside from that I just didn't enjoy the ship controls, the uninspiring looking planets/moons, and how the game tells it's story.
-
May 18, 2020Ce jeux est une pépite. Tout est réfléchit, de la bande son au gameplay. L'histoire se dévoile au fur et à mesure que l'on joue, la découverte et le sentiment de voyage sont magnifiquement retranscrits. Je conseil.

Mar 7, 2022The game is good and marvelous. Fascinating story, design and music.
Time for joke:
Chukcha bought a refrigerator.
— What do you need this fridge for? You live in Siberia.
— To warm up during winter. Imagine the joy - it`s -40 outside and +4 in the refrigerator. -
Dec 15, 2022This game is a masterpiece, a must play for any fan of exploration/mystery games.

Mar 26, 2021This game is a masterpiece. Its hard to talk about this game without spoiling stuff but is one my top 10 games of all time. Great atmosphere, interesting planets, and great lore and storyline.

Jan 26, 2023This game was difficult for me to play due to my inexperience with non-linear game design. But once I got over the curve, I got to see some of the most innovative and genius gameplay I've experienced.

Feb 16, 2022Wow, someone took everything that was good in Subnautica, stripped unnecessary parts (hunger, crafting), and set the plot in Interstellar^2 twisted-level star system. 22 minutes loop gameplay is realized fantastically. Must play!
-
Sep 10, 2022Its a very nice game. Ill recommending on someone who he want to play something atmospheric and relaxing
-
Aug 9, 2023Easiest 10 I have ever given. A profound and beautiful experience, proving what video games can ultimately be in the hands of skilled and passionate developers.

May 4, 2022One of the coolest and most unique experiences I've ever had in a game. I highly recommend it to everyone.
-
Mar 25, 2022Wonderful music, atmosphere, strong writing and a small galaxy that feels much bigger than most space games with its variety of planet mechanics and sense of fear.

Aug 9, 2023In Outer Wilds, your biggest obstacle is your own knowledge. This is mentally taxing, but makes solving the mystery genuinely meaningful.
-
Mar 2, 2023Honestly, just very slow-paced and boring. No discovery amazed me at all. Every character encounter had a lot of build-up, and the conversations were always vague, uninteresting and never revealed anything you already knew.
Just a lot of trial-and-error without anything entertaining in between. -

Feb 15, 2021One of the best experiences, not game's, experiences I've ever had. Playing this for the first time is like dreaming. the sensation of wonder combined with exploration and a scoop of all unique and awesome planets make Outer Wilds a 10/10 for me. Gimme more!

Dec 24, 2020This game is a wonderful experience: Very interesting story, simple and yet beautiful graphics, great art design and a good gameplay ( better experienced with a gamepad).

Jun 5, 2020Finally a space exploration game that isn't roguelite. Creative mechanics and puzzles, genius locations, great music and mysterious world.
Sadly npcs are a joke and the world feels kind of lifeless sometimes. -
Jul 18, 2020Executes nearly perfectly on what it tries to achieve. Small little game with an enormous heart. If you like space exploration with some sprinkling of existential dread this will be a game you won't forget.

Feb 3, 2021This review isn't really intended to give potential buyers advice, instead I'll say the following:
This game isn't for everyone, but if you do play, PLEASE avoid any spoilers to this game. The game only works if you play it blind. If you do like it, it may end up one of your all time favourites. -
Oct 18, 2021There are many puzzle games.
There are many riddle games.
There are many games with good lore.
There is no other game that does puzzles, riddles, interconnected game play mechanics, good lore, feelings, music and everything else, perfect.
Outer Wilds is that game. -
Mar 6, 2021The best game i have ever played, is different from every other game. I have never liked exploration games but this one is a must play!
-

-
Apr 12, 2021More than in any other game I've played, information is truly everything, so I can't figure out what I can safely say except that it is beautiful and unique and has my highest recommendation, and that if exploring mysteries in space sounds even slightly appealing then you should read nothing else and start playing.
-

-
Mar 29, 2023This is one of those games that are created once in many years, its artistic complexity, its soundtrack, its story makes it more than just a game, an experience that you would like to forget just to repeat it once more, incredible.
-
May 27, 2021I can't top the reviews from Kotaku or others... Glowing praise cannot capture the range of emotion this story instilled in me. Simply magnificent, in every way possible. Only drawback is that the game is unique in it's splendor and the player has no welcoming sequel to cradle them when the tale is finally over. Play this before you die.

Aug 20, 2019Outer Wilds is rife with breathtaking sights and sounds, and at the very least, no one could accuse it of being unambitious. Mobius Digital may be a small team but, almost paradoxically, they achieve a remarkable sense of scope by keeping things modest. However, their work suffers from the glacial pace of progress and a hands-off approach to storytelling. My biggest issues – a lack of combat, direction, or material rewards – are obviously deliberate, bold choices on the part of the devs, and I commend Mobius for them while also chiding the cold, inscrutable product that resulted. I admire Outer Wilds, but I don’t love it.
-
Aug 19, 2019This temporally unique game adds something new with your every death and moves the story forward beautifully. The environments are breathtaking, the music will soothe you. This is the perfect game for those of you who are, above all, curious.
-
Jul 26, 2019For those who won’t be deterred by the endless deaths and time-looped backtracking in Outer Wilds, its intriguing mystery and non-linear exploration of an entire solar system will be a novel and deeply engaging experience.
