Outer Terror is a daring and defiant ode to the beauty of retro horror, delivering an arcade experience that is familiar but unique enough to keep you digging further.

Outer Terror is a beautiful love letter to both old-school horror and early gaming; if you love both, you'll love it.

Outer Terror is a fantastic homage to pulp horror with some strong points in review. The gameplay is largely enjoyable and there some great quality levels and synergy between the game, missions, and side quests. However with a little more to do on each level the game could be great, but at the moment, it often feels like you’re just running back and forth.

Its flaws can bog down the experience somewhat, but in the end, Outer Terror's unique horror spin on the rouge-lite genre makes it a breath of fresh air. Intuitive gameplay, retro visuals, and a chilling atmosphere are seemingly the recipe for lots of blood and guts, but also for a lot of fun.

Overall, Outer Terror sets out what it achieves to do, but falters a bit on it's way there.

The pros of Outer Terror cannot be understated, it's missions, stories, and twin-stick shooter style of gameplay gives it a nice distinction from other games within it's own genre.

    Pros:

    - Co-op is an amazing addition
    - 5 unique stories that switch up gameplay.
    - Many characters
    - Quests in each story make it seem there is a bunch to discover

    Cons:
    - Lack of Arcade mode to see how long you can purely survive for.
    - One of the levels lacks a boss which is a bit odd.
    - On release a few bugs seemed to slip through, but the developer seems to be fixing them with quick patches.

There is some frustration to be found but the overall presentation is something not seen in this game genre of auto battler crimsonland styled games.

Outer Terror brings an exciting combination of horror and action to the table. Not Perfect but definitely worth your time if you are a fan ofOuter Terror brings an exciting combination of horror and action to the table. Not Perfect but definitely worth your time if you are a fan of Horror

    - Has 20 minute gameplay loops so can play in small burst
    - Stages have missions/quests you can take on which sometimes add to the lore of the scenario or have some funny or weird things that happen. Fun way to break up the gameplay.
    - All characters seem to have different specials I am still experimenting with.
    - The art style is neat and every scenario feels like a call back to some 70/80’s horror movie.
    - Co-op is rad.
