Jan 3, 2021Omori is heartbraking and a masterpiece
A wonderful story of heartbreak and isolation. Make sure to read the content warnings, and don't be afraid to take a break and spend time with someone you love -
May 5, 2022This game gave me two whole weeks of depression and existencial crisis, 10/10
-
Aug 3, 2021One of the best RPGs I've played in years, absolutely stunning game that far surpassed my expectations. Go in knowing as little as possible.
-
Mar 29, 2021This game was very fun and this was worth the wait. I recommend people that like rpgs and played Undertale or Earthbound to play this game, it is very cool.
-
Apr 27, 2021As one of those who waited for almost 7 years, I should say that this game was worth the wait. It has both the finesse in its soundtrack and narrative. I have left with no words to describe how great this game is. It's a game everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Consequently, Omori is a gem that deserves a recognition on par with Earthbound and Undertale.
-
Jul 17, 2021An amazing game with amazing music, sure the gameplay can get a tad repetitive but that's most rpgs. I have next to no complaints
-
Mar 4, 2022A really fun rpg mix with a amazing story telling its one of the greatest if not the greatest game of all time
you might think Omori is boring if your just looking for gameplay but it has the best story of all time -
Jun 4, 2022This is quite simply the best game I have ever played and I have played a lot of games. Nothing more needs to be said. Everything in this game is perfect

Jan 8, 2021Fantastic and surprising. I knew going in that the art and music direction would be great, but the battle system was complex and engaging and the story (especially the ending) really blew me away. A must-play for fans of Earthbound or RPGmaker games.
-
Jan 7, 2021If you like games like Earthbound and Undertale, this game is very similar to them, but has a bit more psychological horror. The art is really pleasant to look at and the combat is fun. Highly recommend you play this.

-
Jan 6, 2021Not only is OMORI a masterclass in storytelling, with the themes of depression and loneliness being interwoven perfectly into the story and characters, but the spin on typical RPG combat with the emotion system changes OMORI from an amazing indie to quite possibly one of the deepest, complex, and best games of all time.

Apr 10, 2021This game is a true masterpiece, everything on it is beautiful... the art, the music, the history, the characters, an so on; I've never been so emotionally devastated in my life than at the end of this game. Clearly, not everyone would like it so much, but if you can play, just do it, probably will be a great experience, maybe even the best in a videogame.
-
Jul 6, 2021Extremely powerful story rich game that almost made me tear up. You'll have to play it yourself in order to see the story. I played it blind, best experience of my life, other than the severe depression I got.
Also Aubrey is the best character. -

Feb 18, 2022I don't get scared by games easily but Omori kept me up at night for a day or two. This game will probably make you cry, **** yourself, and feel happy when the gang is just vibing,

Feb 26, 2021Just play the game.
In my opinion, one of the best games i ever played.
Especially the storytelling, such a heartwarming story.
I felt embraced, laughed many times and cried much tears.
Im in love with OMORI... -
Mar 8, 2021This game was really a wonderful experience. It will make you cry of joy, laughter, fear and sadness.
-
Jul 24, 2021An awesome, surreal experience with a unique art-style and an incredible OST. OMORI is an underrated game which undeniably deserves more attention. It captures the themes of anxiety and depression well with a gripping storyline and painful truth that delivers a powerful adventure.
-
Feb 13, 2021Wonderful music, environments, exploration, characters, fun combat and a well paced story that has horror elements tied perfectly into the otherwise whimsical tone of the game. Not to mention the sheer volume of stuff this game has in it. Even after my 35 hour playthrough there was a lot that I did not see. Absolutely worth the low price tag.
-
Jan 27, 2021This game is incredible, I feel nostalgia even playing it for the first time, art and history are certainly the best part of the game, the characters are simple but I still managed to feel what they felt, certainly a masterpiece.
-

-
May 21, 2021Fantastic game. I can’t talk about it too much because spoilers...so just play the darn game. Made me happy, sad, and scared, like no other game.
-
Feb 1, 2021Arte simplesmente incrivel, é incrivel como o jogo aborda temas sérios de uma forma tão genial, mais um indie incrivel
-
Feb 4, 2021Uno dei videogiochi più belli degli ultimi anni. Trama, gameplay, location. Quasi perfetto
-
May 22, 2021Just trust me and go into this blind.
To those who are hesitant due to the horror elements: It's not a traditionally scary game. Don't pass on this just because you're put off by horror -
Aug 2, 2021It is a great rpg, since it follows these mechanics, and the story is quite beautiful, without a doubt, I recommend it.

Dec 23, 2021MASTERPIECE! M A S T E R P I E C E. EMOTIONAL BOMB! Despite weak gameplay mechanics like battles or side quests, main plot is worth everything! (review from September 2021)
-
Apr 5, 2022Almost 10/10 if only the main route was more challenging. Other than that, it's a masterpiece.

Mar 24, 2021the Best Storytelling RPG maker Game with Really good Game-Play + The ost is the cherry on top, 10/10
-
Apr 9, 2021This is the best RPG I have ever played. The storyline is absolutely amazing, the characters are three-dimensional and very likeable, and the ending is mind-blowing. Play it.
-
Jul 7, 2022A psychological thriller of astounding quality. An unforgettable soundtrack, animation style and story-rich with MILLIONS of easter eggs. Can be long and tedious at times but is definitely worth it in the end and adds suspense to the horror elements of the game.

Aug 12, 2021Great game that is clearly inspired by Earthbound. It's very dark with a bunch of psychological horror. A lot of the "cutscenes"/talking sequences was way to long for my liking though.
-
Sep 21, 2021Amazing game! Enjoyed absolutely every aspect of it! Would recommend this game to anyone who wants to play an indie game with a bit of a twist!!

Nov 9, 2022Best game ever made, and one that left a great impact on me that I will never forget. I urge everyone to give this a shot.
-
Nov 3, 2022The best narrative experience in a video-game. Get **** 'The last of us' this has much more depth is a much more rewarding character study. Genuinely quite morbid and actually vvvv sad. It has an incredible more dilema at it's core that is quite soul-shattering.
-
Jul 9, 2023One of the greatest games for me. I'll never forget this "dreamland" bright art-style and the story. Gameplay is just fine, not the best one though. This game is not about the combat - it is about the feelings and atmosphere. What a shame that this game is not that popular, it absolutely deserves more attention.
-
Sep 19, 2021Everything about this game, from the impeccable OST to the heart-breaking story, is perfect. Even though the game has themes of grief and guilt, the game still manages to have some light-hearted moments between all the seriousness. Plus, there are literally pancake bunnies, a racist donut, a wise rock, and Humphrey the Whale. What more could you ask for?
-
May 1, 2021Amazing. Really great for an RPG maker game! The art, music, and tone all work in tandem to create an unforgettable experience. 9/10 would recommend. Don't get the ending spoiled though.
-
Sep 8, 202320 hour psychological horror RPG with not only an amazing and unique story that DOESN'T feel like an undertale or DDLC clone but feels completely like it's own thing and also has satisfying turn based combat?! Please buy this game.

Jul 24, 2022Amazing game with an amazing storytelling, soundtrack and art-style, is beautiful. The only thing to warn is that OMORI is not for everyone (the game contains depictions of depression, anxiety, and suicide). This game is a masterpiece.
-
Mar 16, 2021An absolutely brilliant game that talks about mental health. The artwork, the music, and the battle mechanics show just how much love is put into this game. If anyone would like to experience the intricacies of what's going inside someone's head I would definitely recommend this game!

May 11, 2021The game has a great story, captivating characters and good original songs. Also, this is one of the beautiful examples of when a game uses the maximum potential of its engine. And that's the problem, RPG Maker has huge limitations. So the gameplay can be mediocre and boring sometimes. I recommend the game and would play again, but it has its counterpoints.

Jul 6, 2021This game in my opinion is a masterpiece, the best game I played this year, and one of the best I ever played in my life. Although its gameplay can get annoying, but hey that's the RPG aspect of things, its story is SO well made and amazingly told. Even after 2 months of playing it, it's still stuck in my head, and I keep on recommending it to people I know.

-
Aug 17, 2021Quite possibly one of the best games of all time.
The story is amazing, the characters are great, The music is perfect everything about this game is perfect.
Highly recommended! -
Aug 23, 2021Best game i ever played with great characters, horror, comedy and more
Not only is OMORI a masterclass in storytelling, with the themes of depression and loneliness being interwoven perfectly into the story and characters, but the spin on typical RPG combat with the emotion system changes OMORI from an amazing indie to quite possibly one of the deepest, complex, and best games of all time. -
Sep 6, 2021OMORI is the most devastating experience I've ever had, the game deals with trauma and death in a way I that has never been done in a video game. The art style is unique, the story is beautiful and the soundtrack rivals Undertale. if you're ever in the mood to cry, just play this game.
-
Feb 8, 2023this game is the best game ever i played and the story i l00ve it and i liked the art style
-
Nov 19, 2021Stop reading reviews and go play this game. You won't be disappointed in the slightest
-
Nov 27, 2021the best experience in a year. persons are filling as persons and storu not uncluded plot mistakes. a good story with good soundtrack completed at RPGMaker. 10/10
-
Dec 22, 2021Very good, Earthbound inspired game. Impressive work on RPG maker. You ruin the experience if you don't go in blind. You're sure to at least find several things to like in this game.
-
Feb 6, 2022What a masterpiece! There are so many emotions I had while playing this game. Thank you for such a great game.
-
Jun 9, 2023It's a really good RPG in a lot of ways , but it's the first time i didn't enjoy such a good game , the first time i wouldn't recommend it to someone , the first time i'm sure i won't replay it.
But it's unique and it's good so you can go for it i guess -

-
Aug 15, 2023Just play the game. Seriously. You won't regret it. I'd say more, but this is a game you should experience completely blind like I did back in 2021. It still affects me to this day like no other game has.

May 31, 2022In terms of story, this game is a masterpiece that should be experienced by everyone (comfortably). In terms of gameplay, it gets a little slow around the middle, but overall it's still great. I would play this game if there was no gameplay at all. Omori would make a good book.
Fun Fact: I made a metacritic account just to review this game. That should say something. -
Jun 13, 2022**** game, undertale better, i feel suicidal after it. game leaves with dread and social anxiety
-
Dec 1, 2022Has its flaws, but its worth getting through some of the bloated, lacking sections to see the good stuff. If you like earthbound-like games and don't scare easily, you'll find something special here. Took about 40 hours to beat

-
Aug 23, 2022Good game but when you play it you get depression. I don't know how this game made me that sad but it did it.
-
Sep 9, 2022I played this game and Story was too deep like Undertale there is secrets and game graphics both cute and Scary(At some point its scary) but the fighting is a bit....boring but even boring things need strategy so it not too important Game literally goes 16 bits to 32 bits sometimes(handdrawn characters in menus) its a great game and there are some jokes like e t e r n a l b a n a n a
-
Apr 1, 2026While I have been lucky enough to not lose a loved one to tragedy, Omori still managed to make me feel the despair of losing someone cherished, and the powerless feeling of being able to do nothing to bring them back was replicated perfectly. The game tackles the idea of acceptance and escapism beautifully, and when the credits rolled, I did not move for a while. It is one of those persistent games that follows players even after putting the controller down. I think about it more than I expected to; it creeps in at night before I sleep, and whenever I come across a screenshot or hear the name, something in me just recalls the weight of it immediately. People process loss in completely different ways and at completely different speeds, and Omori never pretends otherwise. What makes it so remarkable is that it does not ask players to have lived through something specific to feel it. It just asks for attention. And with attention, Omori will find something in players to pull on regardless of what their lives look like.
-
Mar 7, 2021Omori is certainly not for everyone. Someone who values gameplay much higher than storytelling will come away feeling bored and frustrated with the overall experience. However, those who value a game's plot and the emotions that games can elicit will never be able to shake Omori from their headspace. It is a flawed game in many aspects, but I can't help thinking about it throughout my daily life (especially while opening up the spice cabinet), even having finished the game over a month ago. While the entire middle of the game can be frustrating due to its poor design, the third act is well worth everything that comes before it. In the end, everything else faded away, and it all felt worth it.
-
Jan 27, 2021Having played through OMORI, I’m confident say that it’s an experience I won’t forget. This is a game I wholeheartedly recommend for those that appreciate a good story. With a strong emphasis on catharsis, it has a lot up its sleeves. The cutesy and colorful presentation hides a grim reality and it hits hard. Highly recommended, OMORI is a gem of a game that definitely deserves recognition.
