NMS has finally reached the point that it is worth what many paid for it at launch.

Excellent VR port! using all of my rift's features. Barring the performance issues it runs beautifully and I can't wait for them to fix the performance issues. If they won't I will have to take the score down.
    a total BUY from me.

This game is now better than ever thanks to the developers that are actually listening to the people! This game took a turn for good and is definitely a recommendation!

Played the game at launch, it was ok.
Played the game after the foundation patch hit. It was better.
Now with beyond, the game is great.

This game is quite fun. The biggest drawback is the super repetitive NPC's and repetitive space stations that are absolutely identical everywhere in the galaxy on the inside. It's patched quite a lot so they seem intent on continuing to improve it. Very immersive in VR the way it's designed.

I'm back to game and was surprised.
    Developers did a great job!
It's still a bit boring game, but now it worth to spend tens of hours on it.

Recalling back to when my best friend fervently tried to get my to buy this game at launch which I did and truly had to question his choice of games (look no further than a launch review to see what I’m talking about). I really felt this was just another overhyped cash grab by a fly by night studio.

I am amazed to say that this now, in VR streaming to my Oculus Quest via ShadowPC is one of the most amazing and expansive gaming moments I’ve had ever. The amount of things to do and see is beyond staggering, and to have it all in VR via a free update is almost in-thinkable. While I do wish they would add an in game fishing mechanic or other mini games, intergalactic poker leagues anyone? I (as a developer myself) feel its time they start charging for something. Most people don’t understand that with an absolute minimal team of 4 engineers, a QA, BA, and PM on a project team it’s going to cost upwards of 5000 usd A DAY to develop software. Whilst I understand why they feel the need to give back some for the launch, I feel they have more than made up for it. This is not the same game from 2016!

I don’t want them to abandon the game and neither should you. There is so much more they could do and I hope to see them continue on.

Thank you so much Hello Games for this one of a kind experience and easily the most ambitious VR game to date.

Never have I played a game so much (since Mario Bros), and had so much fun. I'm up to 190 hours on this game since Beyond was released. The VR port is amazing, even though it has some graphical/performance issues that need to be fixed. Playing in VR is so immersive. You can spend hours mining for resources and not get bored. Roaming a planet in search of a mission objective, a simple thing, is just so fun you smile.

The VR controls work pretty well. Only the flight controls need some options, as they are not great. They are usable, and you can adapt to them, but they really need to consider a different design.

There were criticisms of the game at initial launch, but it has clearly grown into the game intended here. While Beyond also had a lot of bugs, a bunch in VR, over the first several weeks they have crushed out numerous patches to address almost all of them. Anyone reviewing this game before like September 5 2019, is not giving the game its full due. Some issues remain, but it is entirely playable on all platforms and worthy of full reviews.

The game falls short of a 10 due to ongoing (minor) bugs, clunky NPC interactions and a hope the next update provides even more making it worthy of 10. I think I could stand to pay for a content update after this.

This has to be one if not the biggest redemption in video-game history. This game is now nothing compared to what it was at launch. And I personally think that it's even better than the trailer (without any doubt). I truly love this game!

I played no man's sky for around 40 hours and now, I think I'm addicted. I had so much fun just running around gathering meterials, upgrading my bases and looking for new planets to explore. Hello games continues to release new updates to this day and I highly recommend giving this game a try.

Considering how No Man’s Sky has deservedly become something of a cult classic in traditional gaming, it’s disheartening that the state of its initial jaunt into VR is so disjointed. That said, porting a game as expansive as No Man’s Sky to a medium as complex and relatively uncharted as VR certainly had to have been a herculean effort. And, even given all of the objective issues that I found with this title, it would be entirely unfair to say that it isn’t a diamond in the rough; No Man’s Sky is now the most feature-complete VR game in existence.
