    I like this game with gameplay. Great story writing and good design characters and I want to see 2B, 9S and A2 again I'm gald to pre-order if NIER: AUTOMATA 2 come but you should be more pay attention about PC resolution I'm not disapoint about story or gameplay you did it for good REAL GOOD but just let me see them again that all what am I asking. (1 more score is about graphic resolution)

    First of all - PC port is a massive ass. It has bugs, glitches, you have to use third party stuff to play the game normally. But even despite all of this, it is a really well made game. Story, world, level design - outstanding. The soundtrack is out of this world, you can listen to it forever. Combat is very simplistic and honestly a bit basic but for this game this is not a problem at all.

    A beautiful experience and all-around great game
    Kombat is engaging. Story is interesting and keeps you hooked throughout, and the art direction is amazing. I would definitely recommend this game. Keep in mind that the pc port is poorly optimized

    Good:
    Sexy android.

    Bad:
    The male android costume is the polar opposite of the female one. It's ugly as hell.

    Stupid lack of save function made me have to replay the first hour of the game multiple times. It also makes it really annoying to tweak and mod the game since you have to play through a good amount of the game before you can get to a section where you can test stuff. And you have to do that over and over.

    Tediously long boss fights.

    The combat isn't particularly appealing. Clanging metal on metal rarely is. The only motivation I have to engage enemies is to level up. Dull. It's frequently mindless, repetitive, and monotonous. And even leveling up isn't rewarding. Nothing significant seems to occur when you gain a level.

    You get a partner at one point and their outfit is very similar to yours, to the point where it's confusing to be able to tell what character you're controlling during some battles. And even more so when they throw in an enemy that also looks extremely similar.

    Another part of the game you're given a different companion and it positions itself between your character and the 3rd party camera, thus blocking your view of your character. Ridiculous.

    Enemies drop items during fights, but those items disappear pretty quickly, so you have to concentrate on both fighting and picking stuff up at the same time. Annoying and dumb.

    For some unapparent reason there's a mouse cursor visible all the time, even after disabling a second one with a mod. And during some parts of the game where you're in a flying combat unit the crosshair it gives you is not highly visible and easily lost track of.

    In other fights it's just pure visual chaos, to the point where you have no idea what's going on.

    At first the way it would lock your camera, switch angles, and remove control from you was just slightly annoying, but then it did it during a fight at it was absolutely awful.

    Then some stupid hacking mechanism continually popping up during a boss battle.

    Navigation and map system is awful. It's very hard to figure out where to go based on the map, and I have to press multiple keys and buttons to get to the map. It's very tedious. Fast travel doesn't unlock till late in the game after you've already had to run back and forth long distances. And it's got nothing to do with realism either, because there are many things about the game that don't even attempt to be realistic. So they just make you run back and forth long distances for no reason. And then at the end of the game they want you to play through the whole thing again to see another ending?! Ha! Yeah right!

    There's a part of the game where I need to get to the top of a tall building. I spend a minute climbing a ladder the whole way up only to find out there is no access to the top via the ladder. This game is awful.

    The item system is very unintuitive. I mostly just ignored it. They don't tell you what anything is or what anything does. You have to look it all up online. Ridiculous.

    They make you press a button to pick up items even though you'll want/need to pick them all up. There are no items you don't need/want to pick up.

    There are regular times where I'm left with no quests and no markers of where to go, and I have to look up online what I'm supposed to do next. And it's not like it's an open world where you can choose what to do. No, there's only one thing for you to do, they just won't tell you what it is.

    I had a bunch of active quests, but apparently I triggered some unobvious point in the storyline and all the quests went away. The game seems designed so that you have to do all side quests as soon as you get them.

    There are major items and upgrades that you would only find either by luck or by learning about it on the internet.

    The production value is fairly mediocre. Many of the characters you interact with don't even have speech, you have to read the text conversation.

    The world visuals aren't appealing, so I don't find enjoyment in exploring and discovering new areas. Most of the game takes place in a few areas that you keep going back to.

    I see people praising the story, but even as an avid science fiction reader I don't find it particularly good. The android characters continually make nonsensical statements about other robots' mental capacity, as if they are drastically different from the androids, even though androids are simply robots in a humanoid body. After watching a full playthrough of the game, there seems to be a number of plot holes.

    The people saying this game is 10/10 are out of their dam minds.    … Expand

    This game has some extremely frustrating points that made me drop it and here are some examples:
    -One of the first quest depends on a RNG drop and the game don't tell you that, I wasted a lot of time trying to find the item then I looked into a guide and discovered that I had to reload the game to respawn the enemies.

    Not sure if the high marks help it for people that jump on board late because it's marks are based on the fact that people like that it tried to do something differently, rather than having achieved great features with all of the things they tried.     However, I really liked it, overall. I like the ideas much more than what they accomplished with them. To me, this game vindicates those childhood platformers that made no sense (can't explain how without spoilers). Basically, those older games had features that were logically inconsistent with how physics work in our world. This game has a way of making them believable in 3d and it does that through game mechanics, not lore or cinematography... this part is very important to me. We play video games, we shouldn't be "spectators" in our own playthroughs, so it's important to me that games tell a story or make a point through mechanics (remember Antichamber) or have them work well in conjunction with the art style, music and story telling. Nier Automata is important to me because it makes platformers' logic work seamlessly, you start playing and those things make sense in 3d before you realize it. The art, the music is also appropriate with the action on screen. This helped with the imersion factor.

    The combat mechanics aren't that difficult, it's approachable - and that's a good thing. It's not that easy though.

    Because it tried so much being authentic, it also has some features that are simply annoying for no good reason. If this approach was used more often, I'd probabily rate this game as a 7 or an 8 because of these issues, but because this game's ideas are quite unique, I can ignore the fact that they tried stuff that doesn't make sense.    … Expand

    Other than that, the combat is satisfying and easy to learn. The visuals are stunning. Some side-quests really added to the depth of the game. Overall, this was a unique game that I recommend anyone play. However, I'd be lying if I said the game was perfect. Many side-quests are fetch-quests and the explanation of some story elements are very minimal. I even watched videos explaining the story of the previous games and I still feel dizzy trying to make sense of it all.

    While I very much enjoyed the topic of existentialism in all moments of the game (also a few plot-twists that added so much depth), the story could've been less messy in tackling the subject.    … Expand

    It's a pity there were so many porting issues on release. Even taking that to account, the sheer quality of this game more than makes up for the technical issues. It's one of the best games I've ever played.

The soundtrack is just touching the strings of your heart in such a way that you always remember it and want to re-listen to it from time to time. That's a factor which makes it great for me. This game left me with only great memories and now I get some kind of nostalgic feel when thinking about it. Would totally like to refresh my memory or maybe even get a new point of view of the story while replaying it again. I wish there were more games like this one.… Expand

    One of my, if not my favourite game of all time. The story and lore is deep and extremely well written, and the gameplay is just the cherry on top. I'll have to give this version a 9/10 tho because the PC version is very buggy and has performance issues and doesn't even run at 1080p. For the best experience i recommend to install the so called FAR-mod, which fixes almost everything stated above.

    The whole idea of this game is just remarkable !

    A mixture of action RPG / hack and slash + some touch of Final Fantasy characters is something amazing !

    Also, it has the best soundtrack ever in videogame history! 10/10 without a doubt.

    For sure the best Soundtrack I have ever heard (sr witcher 3). Graphics aren't the top, but art design is making you feel the game with your eyes. And the story omg I still have goosebumbs.
    After this game Yoko Taro became my favorite game maker and I can't wait for his next thing.

    This is one of the best games to show how video games are a unique form of art.

    It allows you to feel whatever way you want without forcing it, yet you'll usually end up in agreement with the creators. Unlike a certain recent game that does complete opposite (check the upload time of this review).

The 'in the moment' parts of this game is enough to make you feel something but after you finish the game and look at people's 1 hour videos discussing it, that's when you realise this game had much more to say than what you saw. The characters are really well done and have a really striking personality from the operator to the bosses you fight. Many of the characters you meet will bring something new to the table and have a story behind them which you will either learn about or just think about in your head later on.

    This game also has one of the most beautiful and diverse original soundtracks I've ever heard in a video game and is amazing that we haven't heard more from Keiichii Okabe. With all these things mixed together so perfectly, it really is just a nice feeling to be part of this story and it makes me upset that I'll never experience this for the first time ever again.     Having said that, the PC port is horrendous, sometimes it crashes( not that often), cutscenes are prerendered and played at lower framerates and    amazing, the story is well written and the characters are awesome, gameplay is amazing and pretty deep if you play at higher difficulties, it can get harder than a dark souls, and man... that soundtrack will stay in my spotify for a long time.
    Having said that, the PC port is horrendous, sometimes it crashes( not that often), cutscenes are prerendered and played at lower framerates and resolution, there's texture and stuff pops-in from the distance,you have to download the FAR mod to fix it and it doesn't even fix all of its problems.
    If you manage to get on with its problems and get through the first hours though, you'll be amazed and greeted with one of the best game of this generation.

    A game with good story, but very boring combat. The side quests in this game is certainly better than a lot of games out there. The PC port seems to have some issues with crashing.

    Positives: the music, atmosphere and world design are top notch. It's on par with fromsoft games. The story concept is fun. Ending is nice and bittersweet. Combat is satisfying.

    Negatives: bosses suck dick except songstress. The "villains" are pretty lame although some motivations are ok. Biggest flaw is I can't take any of the cutscenes seriously and just end up laughing at them. All    Positives: the music, atmosphere and world design are top notch. It's on par with fromsoft games.     Really good game. Its an action RPG in post apocalypse setting. You play as robots fighting robots.
    Graphics, story, music and game play are all good.
    Only downside is you need to get the settings correct for PC or else it the game crashes.

Não dá, fora que tem propaganda enganosa na chamada, pois a ultima coisa que esse jogo roda é a 60fps, pode verificar alguns relatos de quem já jogou este game via Steam, o jogo é totalmente cagado, até mesmo nos Settings que é completamente limitado.

    Se você quer pegar o game, pega no 'Xiboquinha' ou 'Preisteichion', pois na Steam não dá. Preze pelo seu rico dinheiro que você soa pra ganhar e escolha jogos que tenha ao menos o mínimo de otimização que é o caso da resolução, e até 1 real sai caro, pois tem jogos Indies que você gasta centavos que não existe esse problema.

    Fui praticamente obrigado a pedir reembolso na STEAM, um game de 2017 não pode depender de mod de RESOLUÇÃO para rodar como deveria.    … Expand

    One of the best games I've ever had the pleasure and fortune to play. Quite possibly the best soundtrack of any video game (in my opinion, obviously). Story is great and very emotional. If you want to feel some things, this will make you feel. Gameplay is solid as well.

    I just loved the game. the atmosphere, the gameplay, the graphics.. it all just fits.
    The gameplay is just great. It's a little getting used to not having autosave but it 'kinda' fits in the game so it's actually a good decision.

    The story is weird but cool.

    This game is not very good. The story is not interesting at all, and apparently you need to play through it 3 times to get to the good part.     Pas de doublage FR, et les pnj secondaires n'ont même pas de voix, juste un texte : ça transpire la tristesse

    В начале игры героиня произносит небольшую речь о смысле жизни и как суров наш мир, эту речь я запомнил наизусть, проникшись её глубиной. Проходя пролог я уже начинал понимать, что это игра не про трусы героини, а что-то крайне любопытное - мир настиг апокалипсис, люди вынуждены переместиться на Луну, Земля захвачена инопланетными роботами, а играем мы за оставленных когда-то людьми андроидов, верящих в спасение человечества.
    Так и проходит игра спокойно: мы бегаем по миру, выполняем задания командования, общаемся с вечно сопровождающим нас напарником. Все это проходит под божественный саундтрек, описывая который я бы написал отдельный хвалебный обзор, не за просто так игра получила награду за лучший саундтрек в семнадцатом году.
    Кстати, игру нужно пройти трижды: Сначала мы проникаемся миром, осваиваем игру, встречаемся с нашими первыми противниками и союзниками, играя за девушку-андроида 2B. Далее, во втором прохождении, играем за её напарника 9S, который может взламывать роботов-противников и узнавать их мысли, их сущность. Тут то я и осознал гениальность этой игры, ведь бесчувственно кромсая противников мы лишь выполняли приказы, а тут мы можем понять с кем воевали и посмотреть на сюжет с другой точки зрения. А третье прохождение так вообще полно спойлеров и сюжетных поворотов, причем все не возникает из ни откуда и во второй раз меняет наше восприятие сюжета путем раскрытия всех возникавших при первых двух прохождениях вопросов. Кстати, как раз таки проблема, почему не все поняли эту игру и заключается в том, что не все прошли её в третий раз, совершив огромную ошибку... А в конце так мы вообще сражаемся с титрами, чтобы пройти игру до конца!
    В итоге имеем - захватывающий сюжет, который дает поразмышлять о великом, невероятный божественный саундтрек, который можно постоянно слушать и вне игры, приятную глазам графику с прекрасными и самыми различными пейзажами от парка аттракционов и средневекового замка, оккупированных роботами до почти пустой пустыни.
    О минусах тяжело говорить, они везде существуют, в этой игре они связаны лишь с малым бюджетом ввиду того, что Square-Enix не поверили в невероятный успех проекта и выпивающего сценариста...
    Вердикт: Играть однозначно! Не играть - строго не рекомендуется, ибо это, возможно, идеал видеоигры, по крайней мере я так считаю...    … Expand

    Legendary game which did surprise and surprise me again. I highly recommend it. Only strives I had where bugs (Whereof the worst one had to be resolved using a 3rd party plugin).

    Regardless, I highly recommend it.

    Great game, it'd be a 10/10 if the PC port wasn't so bad I have to use a mod to run the game at full screen properly. Which would be fine if they were gonna fix it but it's been 2 years.

    Favorite game of our time. Passed it more than once on STEAM, I spent 70 + hours. Gameplay is very dynamic and does not get bored.

    So the most important thing here - I played original Nier completely all endings and it's one of my all time faves. I'm 2.5 years late to the party with this game and one thing I heard from original PS3 Nier fans (some of them anyway) is that Nier Automata pales in comparison to PS3 Nier in almost every way. I couldn't disagree more, I feel this game improves on literally everything. As much as I became attached to Yonah, Nier and Kaine, I would say I'm even more connected to this game's characters. Having said that though, the connection for me came much later than it did with Nier as it took longer in this game for me to feel the attachment to the characters. There were actually times early in the game that seemed to have some emotional intensity that I felt detached from and I wondered if it was just not clicking with me. But, later it did come and even changed how I viewed those scenes that didn't hit for me at first.

    I think it could be argued the STORY and LORE of this game aren't super strong or complex. In actuality, it's a bit simple and basic, but what shines is the emotional depth to which the game manages to get to as you get further in the game and via the characters as you learn more about them and what's really going on. I spent a good chunk of the game a little cold towards the main characters but by the end and after it was over just being overcome with emotion multiple times. This game DEEPLY affected me and I think will sit with me forever along with other games that have done so like original Nier, Xenogears and Xenosaga. This COULD be at the top of the list, but that may just be because it's most fresh in my mind.

    Gameplay wise it's good but has issues, just like Nier. The combat is good and much improved, the biggest step up from Nier in my mind. Graphics are pretty bad and outdated, most of the game looking like PS3 tier in my mind. The environments are iffy and a bit boring and the fishing is an afterthought, even more so than regular Nier. There is a TON of backtracking which gets annoying too, same as original Nier. But, there are some fun sidequests which have humor and a bit of lore building as well as a god-tier soundtrack and voice acting, also like Nier. This was a low budget game and you can feel it at times, but it more than makes up for it in the story department and main characters. If you did play original Nier there are a few nice fan service moments that are nicely done and hit emotionally.

    Ultimately I spent 80% of this game having fun but at the same time wondering if I was every going to feel a strong connection to the characters, then the last 20% and post-game thinking this is the most attached to game characters I've ever experienced and so much emotion wrapped up into this game and cast that it's hard to describe. I've been thinking about it for days after fully completing the game and I doubt I will ever stop.

    I've had to fight with myself multiple times in this review to not say things that would even give hints to spoilers, but trust me when I say I'm a bit dead inside as a human, a bit old, have played a lot of games, seen a lot of movies and watched a lot of tv. And in my time practically nothing has moved me like this game has.    … Expand

Despite all that, this game is an absolute gem, probably not for everyone, but what excellent game out there is?

    When it comes to the PC "port", you will want to use a gamepad for this one, probably, since the dodge mechanic works a lot better on gamepad; somehow they thought double-tapping movement keys was a good idea...well it sucks, and this is why the gamepad works better: Other than that, you could get used to keyboard and mouse, but yeah, dodging works a lot better with the gamepad, so that's what it is.

    On the technical aspect, well small and mildly annoying bugs aside, like the resolution glitch (not everyone experience this, myself included), it runs alright although the FAR mod (highly recommended, just this mod, nothing else needed) also fixes some of the possible performance issues you might encounter.

    Anyway, the most amazing thing about this game is not its combat though, which is quite good, it's the setting, story and characters, and the feelings they evoke. There's a lot to think about when discovering all there is to find in this game, and completing all of the endings provides with a bigger picture on the world and what did actually happen.

    If, after completely finishing this game, you find yourself full with several kinds of feelings, good and bad, joy and sadness, etc., congratulations, you played and enjoyed this amazing game to its full potential.

    Very solid 9/10 and doesn't get the 10 because it lacks that "perfect" status when it comes to technical things like really good mouse and keyboard controls (come on, we're on the PC here, gamepad is fine but yeah) and that some people might need the "FAR" mod to not experience some of the release bugs that AFAIK haven't been patched (mostly resolution related, a little bit of performance improvements too, but not that big of a deal as of today).    … Expand

    Would like to put 10 points. The game has many cool aspects: fighting, locations, soundtrack, 2B herself. But the story is so depressive, that it breaks any good impressions. I just don't get why players and game creators like those negative emotions so much. All those tears, screams, deaths. Is their life so happy and carefree that they want to see some depressive content at least in the game?

That game consist mix of genre: slasher/fighting/bullethell/platformer/beat a map - all of this perfectly work together? with interesting mechanica of 3x beating game (to know all plot u need to finish this game 3times). And final and most important - it`s 2B ohh damn she so hot (probably everyone know that =D)

    You got a Royal Edition FF15, which got sloppy story and they give up dlc to explain all the **** now. Create more problem.

    And Nier Automata GOTY, which got great story and thoughtful meaning.
    I guess it's not that hard to choose then.

    There aren't many games that I've played where a story builds and creates a perspective and worldview, only to then shatter those preconceived ideas that were built in the first part of the story, and then not only make me rethink all I thought I knew about the game, but actually ponder on the basic concept of what it means to be human.

    TL;DR: The themes of Blade Runner as a video game, with the action of Bayonetta. If you like neither of those things, what's wrong with you?    … Expand

    Beautiful, fun, engaging, story rich, surprise twist. And have the best game OST ever.

    The only problem for me is that once I beat everything there's little to no replay value after about 100 hours. But hell it's totally worth the most expensive package you paid for.

    Es una verguenza que alguien ajeno a la empresa desarrolladora y/o distribuidora corrija esos errores en la optimización por medio de un parche no-oficial, y que no lo haya hecho el mismo estudio.

    Le daría un 9, pero los problemas que tiene en PC le hacen bajar puntos.

    Solo espero que Granblue fantasy Relink no tenga esos problemas en PC, por que se ve espectacular.    … Expand

    This game may have bad graphic, strange form of gameplay, bad optimization, being too "Japanese like" But this is not what you should looking for in this masterpiece. Soundtrack, story, the minor details that complete experience, the good written characters, and advice for humanity that what are the strongest parts of this game.

    Nier is pretty to look at, plesant listen to and has a wonderful game-play which makes it so sad that its story is dragging it down. Nier tries to be deep by naming characters after famous philosophers and does not do anything with it. But make no mistake they are humans. There is nothing alien or artificial about them, We have a typical teenage boy. A typical "grizzled old cop" in form of 2B (God I cringe every time her name is uttered. Yeah really deep developer "too be or not to be" I never heard that one before), it is an equivalent of artist stripping naked covering themselves in honey and fecal matter, yelling to high heavens "Look at how deep I am. Pay attention to me I am an artist. I am an artist". This makes the story shallow and cringy but it would be bearable if the game did not put the focus on it. As it is it comes out as condescending treating the player as a dumb peasant that "just would not get it if we do not hammer it in".
    in short if you care about silly things like story do not buy it. if you want a pretty spectacle with awesome music buy it. Also buy OST it is worth every penny. if you find yourself skipping dialog and cut-scenes do not feel bad. Everything uttered out of characters mouths is garbage. Make your own story.     Even though I'm going to list a few negatives, the game deserves a perfect rating when you take it into context.

    This is primarily a hack and slash third person shooter, but the game subtly changes genres throughout the whole game! It ranges from platformer to top down bullet hell shooter!

    The graphics, the atmosphere, the setting, the voice acting and general execution is top notch. There is not much to praise without spoiling the game.

    The only downsides are that the actual hack and slash combat is not that deep. At least for me who played on normal difficulty. But, on the other hand, that might be a good thing because you can fool around with the builds and play with the one that is most fun to you!

    The worst thing that happened to me was one situation when I played for solid 15 minutes before the previous save, and I encountered a mini boss. Everything was going well, I downed him to 10%, when suddenly he for the first time initiates an undodgeable grab move where he grabs you and one shots you...... Not fun...

    But in spite of all those downfalls, the emotional impact the whole story and the ending has are mind blowing.

    I recommend watching this Extra Credits video (link: https://youtu.be/rxC0iIdkO6o ) up to the point of 4:23 when he announces spoilers. Then, I recommend watching the rest of the video after you complete the game. I can't really say when exactly because that would spoil stuff, but the real ending should come around the 20 something hour mark.

    I'll give this game a 7/10 because it is a shiitty PC port. It's full of console menus and console controls in the menus that make it very inconvenient to play with on PC. From the start I had to install borderless windowed gaming for windows 7 because the native resolution of Nier Automata is 1080i instead of 1080p, which doesn't work well on my 25" widescreen monitor. The Arcade modeI'll give this game a 7/10 because it is a shiitty PC port. It's full of console menus and console controls in the menus that make it very inconvenient to play with on PC. From the start I had to install borderless windowed gaming for windows 7 because the native resolution of Nier Automata is 1080i instead of 1080p, which doesn't work well on my 25" widescreen monitor. The Arcade mode controls are also optimized for consoles and you can tell on the precision of the top-down gameplay where it accepts a clock hour-style directional movement optimized for D-pads rather than the smooth aiming you could get using mouse controls.

    So why am I giving this game a 10/10?

    A work in progress. It's very rare for me to leave a game un-beaten. I'm sure I'll pick it up again, but goddamn, it's so convoluted and its size so hard to gauge, that I am too lost and I'd rather play something else. This is coming from someone who loves open worlds, but this is just not clicking for me yet. I have much faith in its narrative, characters, gameplay and just relentlessA work in progress.     A modern masterpiece that completely subverted my expectations. I came for what looked like decent Japanese slasher and got hooked by the incredible story and soundtrack.

Единственное что омрачает игру, это посредственная графика и оптимизация. За все время её существования не было НИ ОДНОГО гребанного патча. Square, вы че там озверели что-ли? Вашу игру фиксит фанат, это вообще не норма. Если бы не момент с оптимизацией,Игра просто шедевральная.     Great game! I loved the musics, really liked the combat system, liked the story, felt disappointed by characters development, hated stupid bad endings. I played on a NVidia 1060 GPU, with a controller, and have not had a single issue (except that Alt-Tab disables full-screen every time - who thought that was a good idea?)

    Overall, a great game, well worth the money.

    Although the open-world aspect of the game is somewhat shallow relative to the rest of the game, the side quests and the enormous map will have you exploring for hours upon hours. Too much can be said about this game, and it would be difficult to describe each aspect in full. It's a new game that tries to stand out from other action RPGs and comes with a beautiful female protagonist to start with.

    There are five main endings and 21 secret endings in this game for you to uncover, and you must play the game from start to end at least three times to unlock them all. Each of these three iterations are different because they're based on the perspectives of the three main characters shown on the cover art (2B, 9S, and A2). They each have their own storylines, and chronologically, 2B and 9S happen at the same time, while A2 is like an epilogue (a sequel to the game itself).

    You are allowed to change the difficulty at any time during the game. However, if you go beyond Normal, your Pod (a flying robot that helps you dish out some damage) becomes virtually useless and the game becomes more stressful. The game even states that Normal is recommended to get the full experience. If you're a casual player who plays games for story, I highly suggest just sticking to Normal, because it is the most balanced difficulty.

    Since the game is a port, the keyboard and mouse controls aren't very friendly to use. The game has many commands that don't work well on them, so I strongly suggest playing with a controller.

    When you first start off, you are given a really lengthy mission that is arguably the hardest mission in the game for most players and is akin to playing against the first boss in the first Dark Souls. If you die, you're forced to start over all again from the beginning. I don't really understand why this was included in the game, because the rest of the game is not as difficult and allows you to save often.

    At death, you "lose" all of your character's upgrade chips, but you are given a chance to head back and recover them (as long as you don't die again) similar to Dark Souls.

    A major balancing issue occurs when you play as 9S in the second iteration. 9S has the ability to hack enemies, so when you do, the game initiates a 2D shoot'em up mini-game that is easy (especially on keyboard) and also incredibly tedious. If you constantly win, you can easily speed your way through the game, even against extremely high level enemies.

    Another major balancing issue occurs when you stack up a ton of healing chips, which makes you tanky and virtually invincible.

    Overall, the game deserves a thorough play to experience all that it has to offer. It's not the most refined diamond out there, but it will easily provide you with dozens of hours of entertainment that you won't regret spending.

    I haven't once felt that the game was a grind, and I've sank dozens of hours into it without any hesitation. Each playthrough lasts around 15-20 hours (including side quests), which means that you'll get around 60 hours of play time once you're done with the three main iterations.    … Expand

    I have rated the company Square Enix a 0 because of their atrocious actions towards their fans in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. While I enjoyed NieR Automata, I will not be purchasing another title from Square Enix ever again. They are a predatory company and do not deserve success.

    One of the best slasher being also a touching story with many badass moments. Everything with detailed narration and one of the best soundtracks i have ever heard. Unfortunetally, it's also a poor port so I have to take a 2 points out of 10 to be honest with you guys.

    In 10 years of playing games I have never seen a game that would be so impactful. It's been over a week since I finished the game and I still think about it, I still feel intense emotions everytime I think about it, I still hear soundtrack ringing in my head. The existence oriented theme of the game and story combined with the direct and pure form in which machines are expressing their feelings and self awareness developed progressively throughout the game is so emotionally striking that is triggers the deepest and most genuine emotions and thoughts, it is like watching a life developing from anew, like watching the child grow. And if this wasn't enough, everything gets intensified even further with wondrous soundtrack, the best one I have heard to date. I've never forgiven technical issues so easily...… Expand
