If you are a die-hard Naruto fan, this is a must-have for you, though if you are looking for the previous story mode that full burst offered you will not see that in this one because again it is focused upon the fighting mechanics, unlockables and online play(which is lagging nonstop). + Graphics and moves are deeply flashy like the anime and felt truly cool to pull off.
+ Refined fighting mechanic that is easy to learn includes guard break and counterattack to help balance out the problems but very hard to master using these since they are about timing.
    + Includes Japanese language choice
+ has a world tournament mode to unlock items in and do special mini games for the collectionist
+ Fighting feels a lot more refined and fluid
+118 characters and two different support with a great amount of combination to create
+ Lots of unlockables, character aesthetic customization and secrets to unlock in the various modes.
+ Easy to learn, Fun to play, but hard to master. Not to be taken too seriously
+Mecha naruto story mode is different.

    - No hands on tutorial for new players, but you can read from the menu and learn it since its easy.
    - Ninja escapades story is short 1 hour and 30 mins, the mecha naruto seems to be longer.
    - Network play depends on who is hosting, can be laggy at times well, most of the time its a lagfest and really unenjoyable because of this if you are matched with low pinged players OR maybe its the net code not sure but holy lag.
    - If you get matched up with a pro, you're 90% guaranteed death lol unless you get lucky somehow
    - For the price of 49.99, you'll have to be die hard, because this one is focused upon the fighting mechanics' online play, unlocks and ninja world mode. There isn't much to story mode this time around.
    - The epic scores and events aren't in this version (Mecha naruto end battle was the only part)
    - If you are coming into this game thinking its a serious and very competitive game, then you got it wrong.
    - The lag is now unbearable online and a real turn off, as if every player is lagging I can turn on injustice or ssf4 fine without atrocious transmission or lag against other players.

This game is NOT what you are expecting from a Naruto game, there is no real story mode aside from Mecha-Naruto, this is not a well made storyline either by any means it makes very little sense and is almost certainly made by the devs and not professional story writers.

This game is NOT what you are expecting from a Naruto game, there is no real story mode aside from Mecha-Naruto, this is not a well made storyline either by any means it makes very little sense and is almost certainly made by the devs and not professional story writers.

There ARE Naruto Escapades which give you 3 VERY short stories 1 of which you don't even participate in a single battle and the other 2 are 2-3 battles long, interesting stories to give a more personal account of rarely examined plot lines in the series such as Shisui Uchiha and Itachi.

The game has a freemode that I highly expect you will spend the majority of your time after you unlock most of the characters through the very poorly designed 'Ninja World Tournament' mode, assuming you don't like unfair bordering on BROKEN fight mechanics you will not like this game mode after around rank B or A depending on whether you just care to win or win overwhelmingly.

It is sad because if you don't care to finish with a decent rank you will almost certainly want to basically only maintain your 'orbs' until the final battle because if you actually attempt to collect any significant amount the characters will not simply give you priority they will attack you zealously completely ignoring the other characters, adding in the fact you now have a very limited capacity of which to escape 3 characters rushing you is not impossible to overcome by any means but it is very VERY frustrating. In the final rank (S obviously) the field is filled with such an overwhelming amount of obstacles such as Samurai, demon brothers, summons, traps, and the **** LAVA SURGES WHICH HAVE 0 WARNING.

You are in a complete and total essence fighting an uphill battle and not in a fun way. You WILL find yourself restarting battles dozens of times assuming you want a decent rank, the final battle getting rank S legitimately takes either a huge amount of skill that even I as a person who has played games at a professional level before simply do not have, OR you will have to essentially fix the characters you fight, generally the best tactic is using a character like Kimmimaro in the first round since the other characters won't actually be locking you down yet, the middle 2 are completely arbitrary but generally Sasuke or Fox Naruto are good choices due to sasuke's Amaterasu or Naruto's amazing mid-range melee and powerful single target jutsu and then use Hinata or/and Neji in the final (sometimes final 2 if you are good enough to get the others sub 100 in both first rounds) for their amazing defensive jutsu and since the others are focusing you they will in essence be throwing themselves into your sphere over and over again, of course you are susceptible to interruptions and may have to restart based on RNG but generally this works well. Not only is this not fun but it makes the final battle an absolute **** when you have kimmimaro and neji both using their jutsu over and over again they can take you down to 0 in 10 seconds and they WILL focus you in the final battle just as zealously as the final round in the tournaments before.

Basically it is fun in the 1v1 situations and has a HUGE selection of characters, the equipment is way too expensive but Free Battle gives you equipment based on your choice so it doesn't matter much, but if you want all the best things in the game prepare to hate the game, 1 v 1 v 1 v 1 battles SOUND like a good idea in theory but in practice I can PROMISE you, they are NOT fun.

I would only recommend this game to people who simply can not go another day without a Naruto game, wait and pray that they get their head out of their asses and start giving us story modes again, also the free world roam is infinitely worse than even their early Naruto Ultimate Ninja games, their free roam game is at an all time low what the **** is going on Bandai can't you churn out decent games anymore?

Accept it if its a gift otherwise don't even spend a nickle on this ****

It really does not improve upon it's predecessors apart from the adition of some new characters. The story mode was removed completely, and the new adition of the "Ninja World Tournament" is a dissapointment: no final techniques, no awakening mode, and no multiplayer. I really do not recommend the game unless you don't have the previous titles, or unless any of the new characters is your favorite.

The game is better than NS3FB, but not so much. We have more characters, interesting WNT mode, less problems with online fights ... but the combat system remained the same!
The match can be won only by pressing two or three buttons. Developers are trying to convince us that the battle system was revolutionized- lie !. In fact, it's still the same game with a few novelties. By the way -

I can't give it the same score as i gave to NS3FB (8/10) but i cant also gave higher rate (because of story mode...). Im pretty sure that 7 is fair note.

Happy to see naruto on pc, but if you played 1 you've playef them all. Story mode is good from where they show missing parts of the anime, huge island tournamant mode sucks and is just a waste of time(do yourself a favor and just unlock everyone by just playing the game in battles). Game feels and plays the same as the last 6 releases. I hope they come out with something new and fresh forHappy to see naruto on pc, but if you played 1 you've playef them all. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Start by saying I love Naruto. My all time favorite anime/manga and has been for years. This game was Meh. It had a different story ish element to it with the ninja tournament but it got incredibly repetitive after clearing the second rank. Only thing new each clear was difficulty and unlocking additional team mates. The Mecha Naruto mini story mode was....unique...yeah unique. Last boss was a Digimon. Totally a Digimon.
Combat was fun as it has been in the naruto games and this game added some different elements to the combat with unique characters showing up in the arena. I really enjoyed the ninja escapades they added but that was cut short by only having three of them. I am looking forward to the next Ultimate Ninja releasing in Feb 2016.

The overall game is really short and you can get a platinum trophy very quickly. The story is short but really well made and it's quite an entertaining experience. There is anime mode with some never published scenes and this is really nice! Tournament mode is little bit boring and there isn't much to do after completing both story campaigns.

It's ok for multiplayer but it's really bad as a story and single player overall. The story is short and mostly just cut scenes from the anime

You can just watch the cut-scenes and attack animations on YouTube and save yourself time and boredom, because the combat system is poor compared to other Gundam style games. [13/2014, p.65]

Fun enough in its own right, but lacking in a number of ways when compared to its predecessor. There isn't much in the way of new stuff for Naruto fans to squee over, and as this is a game based around making Naruto fans go "squee", that's a bit of an issue.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution isn’t the revolution it could have been, and even though it took some logical steps in the right direction to improve the one-vs.-one fights with new mechanics, the story, missing cinematic action and the new battle system feel like Revolution has taken the series one step forward, but two steps back.
