    One of the biggest dissapointments (game wise) in my life i counted days until the game was releised and i was hyped up was waiting for the most badass 2d shooter ever. Finished in like 5 hours and i felt like i didn't get enough both playtime wise and action wise.

    Very fun at first. The 2D shooting is very fast paced and enjoyable. Unfortunately there's really not much more to the game after the first few hours and it ends up becoming pretty stale. It's still a decent game, but it could have been much better with a more condensed completion time

    A game that would have been stellar a few console generations ago, but now it suffers from painful repetitiveness. Its a pretty cool concept, it feels like a mix of Max Payne and a top down twin stick shooter. The different moves and actions are pretty cool, and the controls are solid which is important in this type of game. Otherwise, there isn't much going on here. The general appeal andA game that would have been stellar a few console generations ago, but now it suffers from painful repetitiveness. Its a pretty cool concept, it feels like a mix of Max Payne and a top down twin stick shooter. The different moves and actions are pretty cool, and the controls are solid which is important in this type of game. Otherwise, there isn't much going on here. The general appeal and excitement really dulls down after the first 30 minutes and then begins to really ramp up on the repetitiveness. I appreciate their efforts to try to add new elements and concepts to keep it entertaining but unfortunately it just doesn't really improve the core repetitiveness of the game. After awhile it felt like a chore to get through the game. Not that I expected this style of game to have a good story, graphics, or sound design, but it makes you realize that there isn't much going on with this game when the initial appeal wears off very quickly. There is some degree of satisfaction to landing an encounter absolutely perfectly but the lack of substance to this game makes it tough to push through to the very end.… Expand

    A great indie game with fun game mechanics and loads of humor. There's a lot of room for creativity and awesome combo's. Not necessarily something i'm good at myself but fun nonetheless. The game is somewhat short, the graphics are so-so and i would've loved to see an addition of a skill-tree or more ways to customize your own individual experience.

    Untill the level where you go to pedro`s world this game is great for a fun short action based shooter but as a platformer ik really sucks i just got frustraded and when i finally beat the game it did not feel good verry disapointed    … Expand

    Pedro's best moments are all in the first few hours. The rest after that is just mindless repetition.

    What you got here is a 2D twin stick shooter that favours style over substance. The premise is simple. You play as some dude who can see a talking banana (Pedro) who encourages him to go on a gangsters killing spree. That's it! On top of that, the visuals aren't much to look at either, leaving you with the game-play. And for any platform shooter fan, this will really scratch the itch.What you got here is a 2D twin stick shooter that favours style over substance. The premise is simple. You play as some dude who can see a talking banana (Pedro) who encourages him to go on a gangsters killing spree. That's it! On top of that, the visuals aren't much to look at either, leaving you with the game-play. And for any platform shooter fan, this will really scratch the itch. Instead of blasting your way from level to level, the game encourages you to dive, jump and flip while utilising the slow down mechanic. Overall, the fun is in having to pull of these stylish, badarse manoeuvres along with using the environment and array of weapons to your advantage.

    I did have fun, it is just different enough to keep me engaged. However, I had to endure multiple crashes again and again. Real shame, because I would have loved to squeeze more out of this. Worth the price if you like your twin stick shooters. (Played on GOG).    … Expand

Uninventive plot feels more like a draft that still awaits to be concluded thematically. And the biggest gripe for me came to be the level design that mostly seems to force you to either complete an encounter in some predetermined, restricted fashion or to turn it into a hectic mess - and just die at higher difficulties. The extensive kit of mechanics you've been handled begs for more room to breathe and for you to be able to experiment freely with it.

    Given it's really short length and lack of replayability on top of what's been said, My Friend Pedro's frantic fun won't stick in you memory for too long.    … Expand

    Amazing mechanics with great gameplay, stunning soundtrack and a really good story, it keeps you up during the entire 3-4 hours this game will take you to complete. It keeps introducing some fun new things during the enitre playthrough. Really good indie title that deserves more attention than what its getting

    I really just cannot understand why people like this game so much.

    I enjoyed it a lot, and was very stunned by it, in the first five minutes. It has good controls, good visuals, interesting narrative, decent gameplay, and very good level design. It keeps introducing new and fun mechanics, and it isn't difficult to the point it is frustrating, nor easy to the point it's really boring.    I really just cannot understand why people like this game so much.

    It is fun and easy-going, but it is nothing more than that. It doesn't do perfectly with the things it focuses and strives on, and it's highlights are repeated endlessly throughout the game. It doesn't have a lot going for it at all, but what it does have, is pretty good.

    Definitely not deserving of such high critic and user score though in my personal opinion. I played it blindly, and had a good time. But if you go in expecting a 8/10 action-packed indie, this is probably going to disappoint you.

    Pek beğenmedim. Hikayesi tırttı. Katana Zero'nun aksine, oyuna sonradan giydirildiği çok belliydi. Zaten pek hikayesi olduğu da söylenemez. İlerledikçe yeni silahlar geliyor, yeni engeller çıkıyor klasik. Bu bakımdan oyun çalışıyor. Yani sıkıcı değil, kendini yeniliyor ve tekrara düşmüyor. Ancak nedendir bilmem beni pek sarmadı.

    My Friend Pedro no ofrece apenas enfoques nuevos o propios en términos de historia y jugabilidad, pero gracias a su implementación excepcional y niveles interesantes, es increíblemente divertido y te invita a búsquedas de alta puntuación. Los fans de títulos como Hotline Miami, The Hong Massacre o Katana Zero están bien servidos aquí.

    Really fun and creative to start. Falls off really hard in the second half. Level design worse. Escalation/puzzles makes it worse.

You got all the cool looking things like shooting, shooting in slow motion, shooting while on skateboard, kicking knifes, techno music, lasers and talking to your friend banana. Some parts of game feels like you are high, but if you overlook those you will get well progressing shooting game.     A brilliant arcade game about a bloodthirsty ballet dancer with a deadly aim - could there be anything more awesome? But beware - if you don’t like your stuff very much over the top in the vein of Japanese videogames, you might not be able to tolerate Pedro.
