Jul 5, 2024Player First Games had plenty of time to improve Multiversus, but the changes in gameplay mechanics are less noticeable compared to the beta. Despite the efficient online combat experience, there must be more reasons to invest time when many daily or weekly missions are unfair, requiring specific characters that players need access to. The economic model of Multiversus could be more functional, which may lead many to abandon ship despite the efficient gameplay experience.

Jun 4, 2024As someone who was quite high on MultiVersus after playing its Closed Alpha in 2022, I was hoping that its 1.0 release would deliver a polished platform fighter that fully realized its sky-high potential. While it still leaves several features and fixes to be desired, I can’t deny that the game is still deeply fun at its core. Now, it becomes a matter of whether or not MultiVersus will be able to achieve its full potential in an increasingly harsh landscape for live-service games.

Aug 5, 2022None of that keeps MultiVersus from being a blast. It’s got something for everyone. If you’re a hardcore player looking for an alternate to Super Smash Bros., MultiVersus studio First Player Games have repeatedly committed to fostering a healthy competitive scene.

May 23, 2024Multiversus is a fighting game with a lot of potential, but it's repetitive. The competitive level is not to everyone's liking, but it would be more exciting with friends; the excitement and adrenaline would not be present. It has a strong fighter roster and impressive visuals, but it is a game that will be forgotten quickly.

Jun 7, 2024Nice roster and fun gameplay versus a lot of grinding, free-to-play weaknesses and sometimes uninspired characters: MultiVersus is currently unable to dethrone Smash Bros.
-
Jul 28, 2022MultiVersus brings together an eclectic mix of WB characters in a wacky but frustratingly slow free-to-play platform fighter.

Sep 7, 2022Characterful fighters, a good skill ceiling, and a co-op emphasis with real depth makes Warner Bros. MultiVersus a very pleasant surprise. [Eurogamer Recommended]
