Jul 18, 2015There's an awesome game buried under a ton of pretty bad things.
Most anoying thing for me is the fact thatyou have to use the basic WASD controls in menu and in the crypt even when you rebind the keys.
A terrible conversion of a fantastic game. Shame, but still enjoyable. -

Jan 23, 2016The port came off rocky, though after a while the game was playable and ran well, but online could use improvements. Instead of fixing their game, WB decides to screw over PC players by not only keeping the MKXL edition on XBONE and PS4 only, but it also will not have Kombat Pack 2. This is **** PC shouldn't be an afterthought and left in the wind.

Jan 24, 2016Warner Brothers and NetherRealm have now pulled support for the PC version and officially stated that it will not be receiving both the Kombat Pack 2 DLC and the much anticipated update to the online netcode. The PC version is now dead in the water; if you want to play MKX do it on a console but do you really want to support WB after both this and the latest Batman game?

Jan 21, 2016The worst fighting game in terms of support of the particular platform it's on. As of today, MKX is officially abandoned on PC and I am moving to Killer Instinct / SFV. See you never, Netherrealm Studios.

May 12, 2015This game is a big disappointment on steam. I would recommend getting mkx on console if you have one. The port is horrible and online is unplayable. Definitely not worth $60, get it for around $20 on G2A if you really want this game.

May 1, 2015The graphics are brilliant and the fighting combat gameplay is exceptional. This could have been the premier fighting game on the PC, but alas the broken multiplayer component puts it at a mediocre value. What good is good gameplay when you rarely get to play? Buy the console version or skip it.

Jul 12, 2015I'm not good at fightings, but comparing this game and, say, Tekken 3, MK has much much worse controls. In Tekken 3 you could perform awesome combos, they were easy to learn and easy to perform. I almost broke my fingers but still cant make it out. Graphics are good, indeed, it is 2015 after all, but nothing special. To summarise: if you are bad at fightings as me this is a bad game to start with.

Jan 28, 2016WB has abandoned support for this port of the game. No more additional DLCs and improvements. The only thing this game is good for is offline play with the existing characters. Do not support WB Games.

May 4, 2015Poor port. Have recommended settings and the game has unplayable FPS on most stages. Additionally, the game is riddled with bugs. I've lost all progress and WB/Netherrealm has stated they will not be doing anything about it. Franchise has a poor history with PC ports. Do not buy this game.

Apr 18, 2015Simply put, the game itself is fun, graphics are mostly up to par.
However it is so obvious that they did not put in the effort to optimize this on the pc
I'm guessing like 5~6 more updates before the game runs "as it should" on the pc
It's still playable but just simply insulting the way they ported this game -
May 6, 2015A good fighting game hidden under tons of annoying bugs, terrible optimization and maybe the worst port of the year(at least).Avoid or get on console and be sure to avoid any future games my High Voltage too.

Apr 18, 2015I spent 4 hours today just getting the game to launch (3 downloads, .dll fixes, and monitor issues. After that I get greeted the with inability to set my change my keybinds without the game crashing, the game crashing from trying to open steam overlay, and crashing from alt+tabbing. This is a total pass at $60 until they fix all this. At launch this is a 2/10 on PC.

Apr 20, 2015The game looks really good, story mode is superb, x-ray attacks rock! But... there's no way to play with 4 players simultaneously! Even Mortal Kombat 9 had this feature.

Jul 11, 2015you can clearly see the difference of dedication between MK9 and MKX.
60 fps gameplay transition to 30 fps cutscenes and special moves which makes the game tank and freeze...no just no -
Jul 3, 2015Great graphics.. But I get tired of eye candies. Game is POS, frame rate is dropping on mp, online features are problematic, players reduced, they change for no reason all move list from characters, story exist for no reason.. Avoid it.

PC PowerPlayMay 30, 2015Excellent fighting mechanics and an incongruously good story hampered by serious performance issues. [June 2015, p.56]

May 15, 2015MKX will last you for a long time. A few variations of the usual Arcade Mode, some dumb mini-games, online multiplayer, a lengthy story campaign, and, finally, Krypt… Not all changes to gameplay mechanics are obvious, but they do make the game more dynamic.

May 14, 2015It’s still the same fun and crazy fighting that demands from the player exactly as much as he wants to give. You can gather your friends and simply mash buttons to enjoy bloody spectacle, or you can spend hours perfecting your techniques to compete with professional players. No matter how you choose to play it, MKX will find something to offer. [June 2015, p.64]
