It is a good Beat 'em up game. For sure. But man.. the online experience is the most HORRIBLE thing i have ever seen in my nearly 20 years of online gaming. It is even worse than the MK9. Im on PC tho... MAY be better on consoles but what i read and heard it is also horrible there.

I have to wait like 5 minutes to get an opponent, then i am FORCED to leave like 80% of all matches because the connections are SO BAD, slomow inoput delay like 1-3 seconds, so it IS unplaybale. IO know the term is so often overused, but here it is true, it IS unplaybale online. The matches are so stupidly idiotic because my opponent or me can't do anything that would make sense , instead we jump around like idiots in slomow and freezing screens for seconds and try to execute normal special moves which wont come off because of horrible input delays and lag. You can not even block on reaction or something, you HAVE to play a stupid game plan which abuses the fact that you can not block some normal stuff like low pokes and such **** So imagine such great matches, 2 idiots making low pokes 5 minutes long and throws. WHAT A GREAT ONLINE EXPERIENCE MAN!

At least the offline single player is good. Story mode was made good but its more of a movie than a GAME (boring). So after some hours you will get bored because there is nothing left because online just doesnt work AT ALL.

Thats the third game of NetherRealm Studios if i remember correctly which has HORRIBLE netcode... be sure i will not buy any game of them again, was my second (MK9) and for sure i will not be fooled again b those ****.

Overrated game. Worth around a 5. I am giving it a 0, because of the business practices of its developer. Totally unacceptable, and they should be ashamed for treating PC gamers like this. And then they wonder why PC gamers pirate and don't buy their stuff. Seriously?

The game itself is bad. I used to play Mortal Kombat 1,2,3, Ultimate, and Trilogy, like a maniac back when i was a kid, with friends from school. It was a cult-like thing for us. We loved it to death. When i play the recent iterations, especially this latest one, X, i shake my head. This is actually worse than the 2D games, seriously. How is that possible?

The port is bad, heavily unoptimized. Requires a ton of cpu and gpu resources for very mediocre graphics. It is also glitchy.

And to top it all, they stopped supporting the game while they still support the console versions. Hey!! Hello! PC gamers' money stink?

That is why you will never see our money again. Never forget.

The biggest disappointment for me since Arkham Knight for PC. Glitchy and abandoned by WB Games. I have no intention to buy any game of them again after that.

Forget about the game content itself - purchasing it sets a bad, bad precedent in terms of how horribly WB and Netherealm can treat you, the final customer, and still get away. Don't purchase it if you care at all about the future of the PC gaming hobby, fighting games on PC, and the community that you belong to. Frankly, even SF5, with all its launch issues, is still a better purchase. The port itself is not great either, which plays on the bad Netcode that all 3 versions have. Some levels have been poorly optimized and seem to perform poorly on a lot of different computer setups. The PS4 And XBO versions will be getting this patch making online play better lowering latency and stabilizing connections.

The story is alright, but a disappointment compared to the Mortal Kombat 2011 reboot, which it had a lot to live up to.

This seems pretty standard practice for WB to completely abandon a port for PC users. This will be the last WB game I purchase.

Warner Brothers and Nether Realm have pulled support for the PC version and stated it will not be receiving both the Kombat Pack 2 DLC and the update to the online net code. They abandoned PC players and showed us why we should never buy any of their products ever again.

The only thing they deserve is a high-five. In the face. With a chair.

Dropped support of still pretty **** broken PC version... just why? Shame on you, Ed Boon! I don't give a **** about your excuses for this **** you are the head of development team, the main guy so it's your personal fault as well. Fanboys can try to protect you by saying that it's a WB or HV fail, but I don't buy it.

This is after they dropped the Kombat Pack 2 video getting a lot of people excited about the game, and now it is only going to be console exclusive. As of 01/20/2016 NRS has dropped support for Mortal Kombat X on PC.

Warner Brothers and NetherRealm have now pulled support for the PC version and officially stated that it will not be receiving both the Kombat Pack 2 DLC and the much anticipated update to the online netcode. The PC version is now dead in the water; if you want to play MKX do it on a console but do you really want to support WB after both this and the latest Batman game?

The port came off rocky, though after a while the game was playable and ran well, but online could use improvements. Instead of fixing their game, WB decides to screw over PC players by not only keeping the MKXL edition on XBONE and PS4 only, but it also will not have Kombat Pack 2. This is **** PC shouldn't be an afterthought and left in the wind.

I'm not good at fightings, but comparing this game and, say, Tekken 3, MK has much much worse controls. In Tekken 3 you could perform awesome combos, they were easy to learn and easy to perform. I almost broke my fingers but still cant make it out. Graphics are good, indeed, it is 2015 after all, but nothing special. To summarise: if you are bad at fightings as me this is a bad game to start with.

On the plus side, the graphics are good, an improvement over MK9 (However, many of the characters look terrible close up in the face regions, just the geometry of there face is off.) and the combat is pretty amazing (Even if there's a lack of rings, and no ring fatalities)

So even the good has bad in it. I would say pass on this game.

MKX will last you for a long time. A few variations of the usual Arcade Mode, some dumb mini-games, online multiplayer, a lengthy story campaign, and, finally, Krypt… Not all changes to gameplay mechanics are obvious, but they do make the game more dynamic.
  3. It’s still the same fun and crazy fighting that demands from the player exactly as much as he wants to give. You can gather your friends and simply mash buttons to enjoy bloody spectacle, or you can spend hours perfecting your techniques to compete with professional players. No matter how you choose to play it, MKX will find something to offer. [June 2015, p.64]
