    Wanna ruin your best selling gaming franchise? Well, learn from MK11 and you will succeed fast! MK11 is worst MK of all time and you know why? Because they took all the iconic characters and absolutely ruined their look, in every way possible. They made all female characters as ugly as possible and gave them worst possible outfits of any fighting game. They don't even look like sameWanna ruin your best selling gaming franchise? I hope they explain in next game that MK11 Kitana was just from another Universe and now classic REAL Kitana is back. Because if they don't, i wont even care if they make MK12. MK11 was literally insulting video game. Only character that looked good was Noob Saibot, only character. That's not enough and ruining legacy characters is not good way to sell your game either. Why was Kitana Asian, serious question. Why? She has ALWAYS been white. Always. in every game ever, she was white and in movie she was also white woman. Why or even how, would you randomly change her race? It makes no sense. Absolutely no sense. And all the costumes were trash as well. MK9 remains as last and also one of the best MK games ever, MKX was fine, but didn't have best roster and sadly MK11 ruined it all. I rather play any 2002-2006 era MK game than 11. These games were way better, had way better looking characters and actually good costumes. Also why would they ruin Skarlet like that? She was my favorite new female character in MK9 and in MK11 she looks NOTHING like in that one. She looks like completely different person. It's not enough that you say "-this is Skarlet". No. She needs to look like one as well. It's like making sub-zero Pink and saying "well this is sub zero now", Doesn't work like that. Not even sure they can fix any of this in MK12. Would they just go back to old looks from MK9 and say that MK11 was mistake? Would they make Kitana White again? pretty sure they wont, so sadly i'm confident MK is over. Thankfully i can still enjoy all the old ones that were actually phenomenal.… Expand

    Amazing graphics, nice game gameplay, soundtrack is like a injustice 2
    but characters skins is poor and repetitive, broken servers , too much focus on competitive mode does not attract other types of players and always online with microtransations and DLCs characters.

    Alright, I was going to put a whole backstory of how my love for this franchise goes back all the way to 1992, when I was nine years old and how my childhood and teenage years can be defined by two words: Mortal Kombat. But then it got too long and I realized no one cares. Suffice to say, I've been playing the franchise since its debut.

    Like most MK fans, I was hyped for MK11. But then it got too long and I realized no one cares. Suffice to say, I've been playing the franchise since its debut.

    Like most MK fans, I was hyped for MK11. Up until recently, I still was. That enthusiasm has subsided quickly once I actually started to play the game deeply. First, as you can see in a lot of bad reviews here, yes, a lot of fans do not like the political agenda that was injected around and into the game. No matter what your politics might be, keep them out of a product you intend to sell. It's common sense. You want to appeal to the largest number of people possible, not alienate a few, and then proceed to demonize them when they don't agree with your line of thinking. Whether you are a liberal or conservative, your message will upset roughly half the people either way. So avoid it. In the case of MK, the devs responded by saying "please, don't call them fans" when it was pointed out to them that some fans didn't agree with their ideologies seeping into the game.

    Well, I own Mortal Kombat 11 on Steam, Xbox, PS4, and Switch, all last three being the Ultimate version. So yeah, I am a fan... but not a fanboy. Big difference. So you bet, I will review every port I own appropriately.

    Graphics -They are absolutely fantastic, no doubt. This is the best looking fighting game at the moment and the best looking Mortal Kombat game ever made, by far. Yeah, lots of gear customization here, which seems to have become the focal point of this game. But once you start fighting red Scorpions or neon Sub-Zeros, along with some downright embarrassing and nonsensical costumes that are repulsive to look at, I wish the system disappeared forever. Preset skins like MK9 and MKX were the perfect compromise. This is MK, not Street Fighter or Injustice.

    Story - Poorly written, but entertaining nevertheless. I think the visuals and familiarity we have with the characters mask that downside quite well. No? Well, put that plot in a movie with unfamiliar characters outside the MK universe and you got yourself a box office bomb and a laughing stock.

    Sound and music - Sound effects are great. The music is boring, forgettable, and unmemorable, better suited in a superhero-themed game. Get rid of this orchestral garbage and bring back the East Asian undertones and kung-fu atmosphere that was part of the foundation of this franchise, please.

    Gameplay - It's very deep, the tutorial is great, one of the best I have ever seen. Frame data, block advantage, man - it's really something to get into. Makes you appreciate fighting games and how technical they can be. That being said it is slower than MK9 and 10, which bothers some people. I really like the customization of abilities, you can really put your gameplay style and personality into your character.

    Single-player - Making progress is nightmarish, demoralizing, ludicrous, an affront to nature, and everything that is good and decent. It's like EA and Konami got together to make something as greedy and as evil as possible. It's disgusting. I like to dive deep into games, especially Mortal Kombat, just really doing everything the game has to offer. Here, the only things being offered are frustration and despair. I'm talking about the grinding, of course. This should be called a "working for Netherrealm simulator" - a taste of what crunching might feel like, except you're paying, instead of getting paid. Let this sink in: people actually use a turbo controller exploit and the AI to play the game for them and make progress. It's the only way unless you abandon all life outside this game.

    This game is like a greedy pig of a mobile game. It absolutely destroys an otherwise near perfect MK entry. I cannot begin to tell you how sad, hurt, and disappointed I am. For the first time in Mortal Kombat history, there are online requirements. You cannot even enter the Krypt if you are not connected to the MK11 servers. And it's all because the in-game currency can be purchased from them as "Time Krystals", with real money. That's what is all about. Despite the initial deception, this game is essentially a big loot box from hell and I despise it for it. Will I continue to play? Yes, I already spent all that money. But will I buy MK12? I highly doubt that things will revert to what they once were. In fact, it can only go worse from here. So most likely, no. This is probably the last MK game I will ever buy. Unless online requirements and grinding is gone, I'm out.

    PC specific - This is the first port I bought. It barely ran initially and for some, it didn't even launch. Bad netcode too, constantly stutters and freezes. Graphics look amazing at high specs and 60fps all-around, if your rig can run it. I lost trust and interest on the PC port.    … Expand

    Easily one of the weakest mortal kombat games. roster sucks, everythings is just so meh with this game. Costumes are awful. Only one who looks good is Noob Saibot. Maybe scorption too.
    Sub zero costume is literally sad.

    And in my opinion their classic costumes were big part of their identity, so this change makes zero sense. Roster is also disappointing, where's 3d era characters? Where's Smoke? Reptile?     The Bad - SJW, Always Online Progression, Shady MTX, Denuvo, Awful Story, 50 Percent of the game is Always Online Krypt, Towers of TIme.

    The Good - Fighting Mechanics, Graphics, Sound are Excellent.

    Verdict - I would have scored this an 8 but had to half the score due the always online shenanigans awful MTX and the horrendous SJW antics injected to this game.

    Games as a service crap where everything is locked behind an online wall which means this game has no future and cannot be preserved, because most of it is not running locally. Also has microtransactions. Do not buy.

    Where i have the most Problem is tower of time. Thats what i think its called. (My MK11 is on german)
    I pay 25k Coins do unlock stuff for Noob Saibot but i have to do those towers to unlock Noob saibots skin or weapon skin. The problem here is that its so **** hard and frustrating that i can't do Shiit. So i payed 25k for nothing because i can't beat those enemies Because they throw 1823825 granades at you while a 2nd enemy is attackin you while a comet is crushing you while u get fire and poisen dmg ect. Like WTF??????? Soooo basically its a no go for new players. More for Pro players. Thats what it feels like. U are just wasting time and nerves.

    The grinding is utter shiit and a pure waste of time cause u can have so much coins u want and u still cant get Stuff for your favorite character that u want unless u grind 80+ hours.

    On PC the game crashes often and enemies do like 58623 % more Dmg then you.
    Example: you do a Combo and u dealing 3% Dmg while the enemy grabs you and deals 15% Dmg. Very nice

    And yea there is Microtransaction.

    Worst MK. Bad customization, same gear multiple times w/ many colors, microtransations, boooring gamplay, the fight seems slow and can't run anymore, stupid censorship on costumes in a game about murder and mutilation, The story mess with time and reboot again, (rebooted already in 2011)

    Боевая составляющая в своем репертуаре, по скорости и динамике боя, что-то среднее между 9 частью (2011 г.) и MKX, претензий не много, есть пару вопросов, не критичные мелочи. Не понятно со становыми умениями , зачем убирать у Скорпиона и Саб-Зиро, но    В техническом плане претензий нет, игра куплена не так давно, скорее всего уже пропатчена и оптимизирована, глюков и багов не заметил.

    Вопросы есть к слоу-мо после фаталити, зачем и для кого это сделано? Нет полной картины, того во что превратился противник. Бруталити сделано как надо, "камера" отдалена.

    Микротранзакции.
    Когда покупаешь полную игру еще и премиум вариант, это не хорошо.
    Но вроде поправили, гринда не так много, выбивать все ненужное барахло стало попроще.

    Женские персонажи, что это за ужас? Бесполые существа в тряпках с пропитыми лицами это женщины? Про макияж не слышали , как то даже противно смотреть на эти рожи, кровь из глаз. Я помолчу по поводу Скарлетт...
    Китана после МКХ почему то стала похожа на гражданку Узбекистана, на любителя, ок.
    Огромная куча одинаковых костюмов, это вы называете кастомизацией? Выглядит как-будто сделано для галочки, не более. Нормальных почти нет, все женские костюмы закрыты и зацензурированы, так не пойдет. Вы еще кровь уберите...
    Насилие в MortalKombat должно быть сексуальным, каким оно всегда и было, до 11 части. Купил эту игру что бы поддержать разрабочиков, но ошибся. Я не хочу эту феминистскую хрень поддерживать!
    За прогиб под "Борцов за социальную справедливость" (SJW), феминисток и прочих, ставлю 0 из 10, заслужили.

    They could have kept the Mk 10 formula, but no, they chose to make this garbage instead. I never thought MK would go backward after having a gem called Mk X. Very disappointing. I have to comeback to Tekken 7 now and revisit MK XL from time to time.

Самое интересное в том, что эта проблема вылетов началась с патча в мае...и до сих пор не исправлена. Зато графику в игру доделывают, балансИгра прекрасна в рандомных вылетах. НИКОГДА не угадаешь в какой момент тебя выкинет: в башнях, в момент зачисления наград за прохождение башен(чаще всего именно там вылетает) ,в меню, в настройках персонализации или при появлении главного лого. Самое интересное в том, что эта проблема вылетов началась с патча в мае...и до сих пор не исправлена. Зато графику в игру доделывают, баланс персонажей желают....но какой в этом смысл если невозможно нормально играть?? ПК порт как всегда отстойный получился, толку от вашей графики и балансов если в игру не поиграешь? лучше бы реальную проблему исправляли, а не балансы делали. Так что однозначно новую часть покупать не буду ни при каких условиях. я не хочу платить деньги за симулятор вылетов на рабочий стол, я хочу игру!!!

    Послесловие. ПК топовый все игры идут на максимальных требованиях и ни одна не вылетает так часто как МК11, приходится играть на минимальных требованиях... отличная оптимизация одним словом, браво...

    Don't buy any game of this developers on PC (NetherRealm Studios) They only can make games on console. Very bad PC optimization. Random crashes + desync in online matches makes this game unplayable. Uninstalled it. Three patches later and they still didn't fix it.

    Things that ruins the game are:
    1st Microtransactions. They sale an incomplete game and makes you buy the other half separately but the worst of all is that even though i bought the best bundle, with the season pass included and all the premiere hats and tattoos, they have the guts to sell you characters outside the season pass.     Things that ruins the game are:
    1st Microtransactions. They sale an incomplete game and makes you buy the other half separately but the worst of all is that even though i bought the best bundle, with the season pass included and all the premiere hats and tattoos, they have the guts to sell you characters outside the season pass. IT s a SCAM!!!
    2nd. SJW. MK was born as a sort of offender game. I remember people pissed off because of the violence, blood and the Fatalities. For all that plus great game mechanics, everyone loved the game and kept buying it, in spite criticism. Now a days Feminist, whom never bought and played a MK game, and never will, complains about woman shapes... and the game designers follows and makes a game without any stereotypes. Maybe in MK12 they should include obese characters and handicapped as well.

Lo que me irrita es que pese a haber comprado la mejor version del juego y la mas cara, luego incluyan personajes por fuera del "Season Pass". en otras palabras, a uno le venden un juego incompleto, gasta casi 100 dólares para poder completarlo y después te cobran las piezas. Encima te ponen los personajes en el MENU y te dicen. "¿Ah, queres usarlo? Pagá". A ver. Si antes de comprar la mejor version del juego, avisaran: Te vamos a cobrar por fuera de los que estas comprando, serian honestos y bueno, podria optar por acceder o no. Lo me genera mucha violencia que te digan: Vamos a incluir todos los personajes y despues no lo hacen. Veo algunos boluditos q tratan de TROLLs a las personas que critican esta modalidad y dicen que es normal que haya micro pagos y al que no le guste que se vaya a jugar al Fornite o al LOL. Probablemente ellos sean el tipo de personas que se casan de apuro, le meten los cuernos y luego dicen; Es normal la infidelidad.
    2do. La corrección politica, aburre. MK nacio como un juego transgresor, ahora los corrieron por izquierda y las mujeres del juego están tapadas y es un juego politicamente correcto. Los diseñadores no se la jugaron. Luego del MK9, las feminazis empezaron a criticar la exageración de los atributos femeninos que ellas no tienen y los zurdos se quejaban de los problemas raciales. A ver.... Quisiera saber cuantas feminazis juegan a los MK y si un zurdo va a dejar de comprar el juego.

As is, the roster is underwhelming, and likely designed to be that way so you feel compelled to buy DLC fighters in the future. No stage fatalities, again, the gameplay feels slow and unresponsive, and the difficulty in some game modes is so brutal you will be tempted to smash your controller.     A fighting game that focuses on grind and consumables to force the player to play deserves a 0. They fkd the Krypt by making placement random so you have to waste currency trying to find items for the character you want, instead of just getting them and going back to playing/learning the game.

    But the saddest thing for me is that it's always online. This basically means that if WB/NRS stop making huge amounts of money, or when they are ready to make you buy a new version and all the DLC again, then they will shut down the servers and you will be unable to play the product you paid for, which is BS. MK 1 will be playable 30 years after release, but MK 11 being a game as a "service" will be unplayable forever in 5-10 or sooner.

    This is a good fighting game that is packaged as a free to play game, full of all the psychological pressuring found in Fortnite or a mobile game, and then sold full price when the developers assured us it wouldn't contain lootboxes.    … Expand

    Some experience random crashes (CTDs), possibly related to triple buffering. Happens in Kustomization (mainly), and practice. ( try lowering antialiasing to FXAA only.)

    Certain stages are not well-optimized, leading to FPS drop.

    Story mode dialogue can fall out of sync, with character speaking too late or too early for lip sync.

    V-sync (possibly other options) can create a strange, 'slow motion' effect in gameplay. (some fights in certain stages are in slow motion while others seem almost twice as fast.)

    Server issues seem exacerbated on PC, or at least are reported more often.

    No PS4-style prompts (mixed, some have it, some don't seem able to get them). Go to your steam controller settings and turn off "playstation configuration support". If that option is on game sees it as an xbox controller, when it's disabled it should show ps4 buttons.

    Audio is too quiet and not balanced correctly for some.

    Stuff doesn't unlock right, particularly story mode unlocks.

    PC Krypt seems to run way worse and look worse than console Krypt.

    Pinned combos for player 2 in a private match show the keyboard commands despite using a controller

    Online playing players often desync when they win and get to the Finish Him screen

    "lost connection to the server" or "There's an issue with the servers. Please restart the game." This happens in Story, Tutorial, the Krypt, Versus - happens to some people.

    trying to advance deep into infinite towers will almost always result in the game eventually crashing.

    When you have multiple rewards in Notifications, you can get only 1. Others will disappear.

    When you go into the kustomisation menu you cannot press square / x to look at the preset variations and access the tournament variations as indicated, you need to instead use your mouse to click on the use preset button.

    Playing in a room with my friend we both couldn’t have up our tagged moves, if your health bar was in the right no matter what controller you had in it would always be the keyboard inputs, which was kind of annoying cause we are trying to learn characters.

    If you host a private match and the host wins the match will give you a desync error and kick you back to the main menu. Only fix for this not happening is to not win as the host.

    The custom variation miniature are also bugged in 2k and 4k resolution.

    People experiencing crashes also when they change gear. (kustomizing characters)

    No Ultrawide monitor support for UI, Menus, and Krypt. HDR- The chapter title overlay that appears during cutscenes does not disappear until the cutscene is over. HDR - Pausing during a cutscene, then unpausing, results in a black screen with only audio playing. Video returns when the match begins. With HDR mode enabled, the cutscene before facing Kronika in the Klassic Towers doesn't play and all you get is audio over a black screen. Using wireless Xbox One S controller, pressing Y registers as Y+X, X registers as X+A and A registers as A+Y. This causes that for example, pressing A on the main menu opens the EULA (assigned to Y). The same bug was present in Injustice 2, and requires editing a .ini file, or connecting the controller via USB cable. The Krypt sometimes crashes to the main menu saying "There was an issue with the server. Please restart the game." When opening chests in the Krypt, sometimes the contents screen takes longer to open, and as the spiders still move while you're opening them, they kill you while you're stuck there. Also in the Krypt, in the room where the Kytinn Queen is, the spiders can't reach the corners, so if you stand in a corner, the spiders just stand still until you come out or kill them. While riding on the elevator that connects the courtyard and Goro's lair, the lighting goes crazy, as if the scene was lit by lightning.     Pero además, para recibir las recompensas por los combates, tienes que estar contectado a internet. Si no lo estás, (o si lo estás y la conexión falla, como le ha pasado a mucha gente), no te da la recompensa por la pelea.    … Expand

I am a total opponent of political correctness and censorship in games, as well as the hypocrisy of their creators.     I can accept micro transactions that are reasonable (even though I disagree with this business model) however the micro transactions in this game are far from reasonable. $5 for a character skin and to purchase everything comes to over $6000, how ridiculous. I would rather buy a car and drive it into a tree than to pay this amount of money on one video game. I had previously trusted Ed Boon and NetherRealm, this trust has now been lost. Companies need to understand that it is much more difficult to gain trust than it is to lose it.     Developers hided a lot of things to get more sales, and many players didn’t had time to evaluate them to ask for the reimbursement here at steam, because game is designed to show their flaws after the initial trial period. When players finish story mode and start to play other modes, they discover the sad truth of the game.

    You will need an endless grind to unlock the game that you already paid for. They hided this on purpose.

    Character alternate appearance is tied to different combat styles, another mistake from the developers.

    Game is poorly optimized, we have a lot of graphic options, but the impact of those is not logical. Anisotropic filtering having more impact than shadows or textures? Really?

    Selling Frost at DLC shop when she is unlocked automatically after 10 minutes of gameplay at story mode is a bait from the developers to get more money. Even if many people knew, if a few customers fall on this trickery, more money for them.

    They inserted out of context political ideology in a fighting game.

    Too many small bugs and many people experience crashes, even at the menus.

    No real tag team, just a few premade tags on towers.

    30 fps on fatalities and certain animations. (Hello Crypt!)

    Ed Boon confirmed that they will never implemented MK9 costumes. Do not wait for them.

    Audio is all off on story mode and cutscenes.

    Character already in game are not eligible to be played.

    At last Kombat Kast they told us that they will not modify Crypt.

    Finally, the lack of respect from the devs with sentences like "Those are not true fans" or if you don't like these changes then I’m GLAD you are disappointed" show what they think about their customers; let's avoid their sexist opinions about women. They can talk freely about Kano's attributes, but they are offended if a woman wears a t-shirt showing her arms at 2019

    If you do not care about this and just want a single player game for versus with friends and story, is ok, get the game. If not, don't support this.    … Expand

    The plot is dumber dumb.

    This mortal combat is still tons of fun. Realistic graphics, top-notch body and facial animations, extremely inventive violence and perfect sound effects. Ed Boon and Co. still make the best fighting games in town.
