One of the worst main series MK games, maybe even worse than MK4.MK4 at least had interesting new characters. MK 11 female character looks nothing like they used to look. They look simply awful. They are basically completely new characters now who have nothing in common with female characters from MK9 and even MK10, only similarity is their name, that's it. Extremely disappointing, pointless game. Only character who truly looks great is Noob Saibot. Scorpion was okay at best. Everyone else was just awful. One of the main things in fighting games in general are character looks/costumes. That's the first things that makes you choose a character. If characters looks awful, then you obviously wont choose them, because who wants to play with awful looking character. Expand

One of the worst mortal kombat games of all time. 60fps and modern graphics doesn't automatically make game good. It has one of the worst looking characters out of any MK game. Awful costumes. Character roster is also weak. Where's Sektor, Cyrax and Smoke?

I gave this game a real chance. I thought the user reviews on the original MK11 were very racist/sexist, so didn't pay much attention to the low scores. While the anti-SJW opinions were mostly from obvious morons, this game is indeed pretty bad. The combat system is just okay, but the grind they expect you to do just to use everyone's special moves is ridiculous. No one wants to doI gave this game a real chance. While the anti-SJW opinions were mostly from obvious morons, this game is indeed pretty bad. The combat system is just okay, but the grind they expect you to do just to use everyone's special moves is ridiculous. No one wants to do that except extreme hardcore fighting game fans, but those people aren't playing Mortal Kombat, they're likely playing Street Fighter. The story mode is what I looked forward to most, and having the Aftermath continuation of the story was a cool idea..which leads me to my next gripe with the game.

The story mode has its fun moments, but the main villain (Kronica) is completely void of any personality. The story makes basically no sense, and the ending leaves you completely unsatisfied. That's why I was so excited that the DLC offers more to the story (even though one could argue that WB is a crappy company for not just completing the story for the 60 dollar original price...ugh). Aftermath's story was also very unsatisfying. There is an awesome main character in Aftermath that is voiced by a familiar actor, but that is about the only part that was enjoyable.

I tried playing the other sections of the game, but I was just completely bored. I don't think the fighting mechanics are worth the grind it takes to fully enjoy the game. This one really feels like a cash grab and the passion is once again gone in the Mortal Kombat series. I hope I'm wrong because I have played these games for basically my whole life. I had all but given up before MK9 but was pleasantly surprised back then, hopefully they can do it again.

Oh, and one more HUGE gripe about the game...Ronda Rousey is completely absolutely terrible. Sonya has gone from one of the coolest characters to one that you straight up root against because you don't want to see her anymore. I won't go into attacking Rousey's appearance, but her voice acting is about as bad as possible. I was a huge Rousey fan when she was dominating UFC, so I am definitely not biased against her...she is legit terrible at acting. Sorry Ronda, please get off my TVs and have a happy life outside of media.

I was tempted to give this game a 5/10, but because of the devs' greed, I am going to give it a 4/10. Choosing microtransactions over artistic integrity automatically gets you a red score in my book. Actually, I'm taking another two points off for ruining Sonya Blade. Seriously you guys, wtf?

Central Europe players are often forced to play in Online Kombat League vs Russian with 150 Wi-Fi ping despite there are a lot of players from Europe with good connections.

Despite a convoluted story filled with silly retcons and nonsense, it's still fun to play through to see the (for now) official ending to the original Mortal Kombat story. With 12 additional characters and tons of skins, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is absolutely worth a buy for those who have yet to check out MK11. The new characters are still great additions to the roster for those who have experienced all the content since the beginning.

Overall I’m thrilled with the game, there are settings that make it easy to just pick up and have an easy fight… or you can ramp up the difficulty and really challenge yourself to become the best fighter you can. Highly recommended for old fans and new fans alike!

MK11 isn't just a sequel for series fans and NetherRealm devotees, it's a gateway into the realm of fighting games for anyone who has a passing interest in watching ruthless warriors beat each other silly. Streamlined mechanics keep the act of fighting furiously exciting no matter what your skill level, and comprehensive tutorials encourage you to dig into the nitty-gritty. There's a diverse roster of interesting characters and playstyles, and the story mode is an entertaining romp. The randomization of Krypt rewards and the odd issue with the game's always-online nature can occasionally chip away at your patience, but Mortal Kombat 11 absolutely hits where it matters.
