Besides delightful visuals and some Botanicula vibe Morphopolis doesn’t offer anything that would set it apart from other hidden object games. [Nov 2014, p.61]

Eventually, I grew to see the puzzles, as well as my insects' dawdling speeds, as a hindrance to what I really wanted to experience: the joy of taking in a new set of gorgeous sights. What a terrific place Morphopolis is. So terrific, in fact, that I wish there were less tedium to separate me from its stunning scenery.

I've watched only the first half of the trailer, and so I've assumed it was some sort of platformer, while it really is just a glorified hidden object game.

However, while it has no plot to speak of, rather limited gameplay (which is often the case with this genre,) and a very short length (which may actually be a good thing, because this sort of game would get tedious after a while,) it may be one of the best hidden object game, to my limited knowledge at least, for the beautiful and unique hand-drawn visuals alone, which have earned the title of "art piece" for this game. So at the very least, it has that going for it.
If you're a fan of hidden object games, give this one a try.

It has a beautiful art design and the music is exactly what you need for this type of game. It's not a particularly hard game, maybe you get stuck once or twice but overall it's a relaxing and fun experience. Full Review »
