This arcade racing series rumbles on quite nicely. The second instalment offers a fun career mode and rich open worlds, even though the Championship mode is disappointing and the game won’t be winning any beauty contests.

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 is not a bad game, but it is the classic photocopy production aimed only at fans of the genre.

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 does not seem to try hard enough in any of its fields, and especially in the most important one: being a fun game. Both its open world and exploration elements, as well as the racing part, seem unfinished and rather dull. Perhaps we should have gotten an expansion to the first game of the series instead of this release.

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 is a fun game, which does not pretend to be anything more. If you ever wanted to ride monster trucks in open sandbox-like game worlds, you should look no further. [Issue#310]

Iconic monster trucks competing in repetitive events. Steel Titans 2 shows too much untapped potential when it comes to the interesting licence.

Rainbow Studios has been responsible for some top-notch, mudslinging racers over the years, but Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 isn’t one of them. The racing is serviceable enough and the themed worlds are a cute idea, but its bland and poorly presented, chore-like approach to its career content turns one of the most grin-inducing spectacles in motorsport into a remarkably dull experience.

I think the main problem with Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 as a whole, is it doesn’t know what it wants to be. It gets stuck somewhere in between wanting to be an arcade style racer, and a Monster Truck Sim, and because of this, it fails in both categories, and leaves no one happy. Skip this one.
