    Microtransactions - The Game. Here you go, have some more loot chests. I made it a bit into the game before my mind was boiling, and I had enough of the "Daily Event" and buy lootboxes crap that just made it feel like a Free 2 Play mobile game. STAY AWAY and save the industry!

    I was LOVING this game at the start but than I sent one orc to attack another unidentified orc. Turns out they were brothers and because of that I decided to end the duel and turn the opposing orc to my side. Than the other brother betrayed me for "killing his brother" which I didn't do cause he was literally standing next to me. Than turns out they are a family and his other brother thanI was LOVING this game at the start but than I sent one orc to attack another unidentified orc. Than turns out they are a family and his other brother than betrayed me followed by a new betrayal nearly every 5 minutes. Because of this the 8 hours I spent dominating this area just to have nearly every captain betray me in a 1 hour period.

    ALSO THE WORST aspect to this entire game is these insanely long and excessive orc intros, half the time you play this game it's just listening to some **** retard talk in the middle of a fight for a full **** minute, talk about a horrible way to totally take you OUT of the experience.

    Its a pity that in a single player game greed has come into the equation, speaking of course about the micro transactions which ruin the end of the game. People should vote with their wallets and let publishers know we don't want this sort of thing in games we pay good money for.

    After couple of hours the game is boring as Fu.... And those lootcrates and microtransactions SHAME !!!! Already regret that I bought that piece of sh.......

    1500 silvers for lootbox containing atleast an epic orc is easy to grind. grinding is easy and fun too. u can learn about the items in modor and also solve poems and riddles which adds depth to the game. it took me like 9 hours to earn enough silver to purchase an orc army of 10 epics and 8 legendaries and 5 commons. Also dont buy gears coz u can find them from strong orcs after u beat1500 silvers for lootbox containing atleast an epic orc is easy to grind. grinding is easy and fun too. u can learn about the items in modor and also solve poems and riddles which adds depth to the game. it took me like 9 hours to earn enough silver to purchase an orc army of 10 epics and 8 legendaries and 5 commons. Voice acting is awesome by almost everyone. Some orcs sound hilariously funny and some sound like an a%^&hole. Love the nemesis system for replaying value. Overall very pleased except for the act IV of story and the fact that this could have been earn silver to play game rather than pay to get gold game. but it doesnt make the game bad in my experience… Expand

    This game is the epitome of what the gaming industry is trying to do. $60 game with microtransactions in singleplayer. Shame. You deserve a zero for riding this trend shamelessly.

    Game designed only to pull more money your pockets and accounts. Game CANT BE FINISHED without buying **** loot boxes. This game could be very very good, but is just a cancer on the game industry.

    I think the game is epic, very positive and fun.
    And lootboxes, well it doesn't bother me at all.
    I can play with it and can play without it, they just present in the game but the game not about getting loot from it.

    I see this game got zero bombed by a herd of startled gamers. Ignore the stampede. It's a good game.

    I've played about 5 hours and progressed just fine without spending dime one on microtransactions. Furthermore, it's a truly enjoyable game - it builds upon the excellent gameplay of the original in the IP, deepens the satisfying Nemesis System, and improves just about everything.    I see this game got zero bombed by a herd of startled gamers. Ignore the stampede. It's a good game.

    I've played about 5 hours and progressed just fine without spending dime one on microtransactions. Furthermore, it's a truly enjoyable game - it builds upon the excellent gameplay of the original in the IP, deepens the satisfying Nemesis System, and improves just about everything.

    It's hard to see if many people are experiencing game breaking bugs through the din of willful ignorance, but for me it's been stable on my Intel/Nvidia based PC. The graphics are stunning. Point off because the story - at least so far - isn't very satisfying.

    Pls ignore buttblasted kiddies who fell for transactions meme. They're trying to ruin games score just like they did it with Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

    Like everyone else is saying, microtransactions in in any game is pure cancer. Microtransactions and Lootcrates are not the overall problem though, everything is very copy and pasted and contrived. DO NOT SUPPORT COMPANIES THAT TREAT THEIR CONSUMERS LIKE SHEEP!

    BOYCOTT ALL COMPANIES THAT SHARE THE SAME PRACTICES!

    The micro-transactions in a single player game killed the game for me. To those interested do not get the game UNLESS you enjoy endless grinding to see the ending if you do not pay to skip through some of the boring content.

    I will not support a company who puts microtransactions into any type of game, let alone tries to make gamers shell out additional money in order to experience the full SINGLE PLAYER campaign. When we pay the original asking price- that's it. Monolith Productions, I hope you go bankrupt.

    Act 4 suck but not more than Dragon Age Inqusition (no sense waste hours)
    but Shadow of War is good as Shadow of Mordor

    You would've thought Warner Bros. might have learned a lesson with their spectacularly bad Arkham Knight launch but no. We get a triple whammy of scumminess this year with    Are all Triple A Publishers driven by greed today or is it just me? Charging full price for a Fremium model game tells you all you need to know about how much Publishers know or even care about the gamers or industry.

    You would've thought Warner Bros. might have learned a lesson with their spectacularly bad Arkham Knight launch but no. We get a triple whammy of scumminess this year with them first trying to sell the memory of a dead developer as paid DLC. Then the Developers come out and tell everyone you may never even have to use the Lootboxes or buy using Microtransactions to enjoy the game and it's only there for people 'who don't have time to play the game'. And the icing on the cake is the Story being locked behind a paywall.

    I will never buy anything from WB again and just to think Battlefront 2 is out next month and thats supposed to be worse than this. God help us and God help gaming.

Game itself is a bit repetetive, there is a lot of grind, the nemesis system is great, plot is better, some orcs are intersting and battles are in my opinion well made, but repetetive and the same for every castle. Would be 7/10-Could be good game but you destroyed it with Loot boxes and microtransactions. I boycott this practice (you know what way) with my friends. You won't see penny.     Good game with super unfair loot crate system. If I pay FULL prize for game i expect being able to play (and complete the game) without spending more money unless I want some vanity items etc. This is not the case. Avoid.

    Nemesis is a one-hit wonder of a mechanic. Everything else in Middle-earth is mediocre at best, but Nemesis makes it all worthwhile, since every playthrough is truly unique – a feature none of its triple-A competitors can offer. [Issue#225, p.38]

    A lot of people were upset to find out that Shadow of War has loot boxes, and they are kind of annoying. Unfortunately, loot boxes is the least of its problems.
