    The game becomes much more of a survival-horror title with the new available options, and if you’re new you can try both styles and decide for yourself. Otherwise, there’s really no reason to prefer the original over this remastering.

    I realise all these caveats render a scored review somewhat meaningless, so the takeaway message is this; if you've never played Last Light, you should – it's an excellent game, and you should opt for this version. If you've already played it, however, you don't need to upgrade.

    If someone owns Metro: Last Light, there's absolutely no reason to buy the Redux version. Graphically its the very same game, while the DLC content and the Survival/Spartan mode are not enough to justify this new release and the 20 euros price, even with the differentiation the later offers to the gameplay. On the other hand, whoever hasn't played the original game yet, has another good reason to do it now.

    It certainly rides on the coattails of 2033 Redux’s release, but it’s still incredibly fun. If anything, it’s a testament to how much fun Last Light was to begin with.

If we compare Metro Last Light with Metro Exodus, here gameplay is better than in Exodus, probably because of more small game's levels, but in Last Light more weak plot. Last Light leaves mixed feelings. On the one hand, atmosphere, gameplay and staging of the cutscenes is made at the level of the AAA projects. On the other hand, terrible animation, which in Exodus has become only slightly better; disgusting behavior of weapons, impact, etc; weak plot; not working morality, as in Exodus; weak Russian localization; discrepancy of game objects with real prototypes, mute Artyom, periodically flickering characters and objects, apparently problems with rendering; about the sound of shooting and reloading weapons, as if, from early 2000s, well, if you 4A Games couldn't record the sounds yourselves, then you could use ready commercial soundbanks, why you used the semblance of sounds, and continued to use in Exodus? И, наконец, для 4A Games, if in future in your games, you once again decide to play with morality, then for a start, carefully to learn the games in which morality works.     Didn't like this installment very much ,,, not fan of the story since the previous game , and this game didn't make it any better ,,, sameDidn't like this installment very much ,,, not fan of the story since the previous game , and this game didn't make it any better ,,, same shallow characters and voice acting , Same FPS game play , Same Graphics "now they look very outdated" ,,, the positive thing is the environment , i felt it's more of a benchmark game , and in few months you'll forget about it… Full Review »
