Jan 30, 2014Enhanced graphics and controls, customizable Zangeki settings, packed with full DLC support, Rising's PC version is the true definition of lightning bolt action.
-
Jan 22, 2014I can imagine some Metal Gear fans might not enjoy this style of gameplay, but if any are willing to give it a shot or if you are a fan of high paced action, then you owe yourself to jump into Revengeance’s stylish and exceptional top class gameplay and have a slash of a time.
-
Jan 16, 2014In any case, MGR is unique. It's singular in its development, its flair and its understanding of action. It's like a good, old bottle of wine that you just know you'll never enjoy like this again. Savor every drop of it.
-
Jan 13, 2014Exactly as entertaining as you’d expect from a collaboration between two of Japan’s most talented developers, and a relatively good – if extremely belated – PC port.
-
Pelit (Finland)May 11, 2014Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is great looking, great playing action explosion, and the PC version is the best version. [Feb 2014]
-
Jan 16, 2014Visually amazing, intense and beautifully fast, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an amazing game that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Unfortunately, the campaign of this action-packed Hack and Slash is too short.
-
Jan 15, 2014Revengeance isn’t a perfect game but it sure is a fun one, and it made the jump to PC with ease.
-
Jan 14, 2014Revengeance is a great hack and slash: Frantic, fun and fast running at 60 fps. It's a good mix of Metal Gear's universe and Platinum Style, but Raiden fails with stealth situations.
-
Jan 14, 2014Even if you’re not a Metal Gear fan, if you enjoy lots of action and some fast-paced combat, you should really pick up Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
-
Jan 10, 2014Whether or not you have ever enjoyed Metal Gear, this is a must for anyone who appreciates melee-combat. It’s simple, fast, and clean, with enough supporting content like additional weapons and secrets to encourage a campaign replay – or more, if you find yourself obsessed with the idea of a no-kill run.
-
Jan 14, 2014Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is really quite good on the PC, both in the presentation and gameplay departments, though a strange departure from the Metal Gear Solid series. In the end, it's a fun game that hopefully will carry some of its elements into future MGS titles.
-
Jan 19, 2014Console users have no reason to get this PC version, since its improvements are just a few visual settings. Still, it's a great hack & slash for those who missed it on PS3 or Xbox 360.
-
Jan 22, 2014Better look, and the same frantic gameplay: the best edition for this fast-paced action game.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 7, 2014Raiden reaps what the action filled gameplay sows and if it wasn't for the clunky camera and lackluster plot, there would be nothing to complain about. [Issue #239]
-
CD-ActionMar 5, 2014It might be unpolished, but it still is a gem among slashers, especially on a platform that lacks this kind of game. [03/2014, p.72]
-
PC PowerPlayFeb 24, 2014Thrilling, exciting, and fun as hell, but still a few steps away from true greatness. Nonetheless - it's pure Platinum. [March 2014, p.64]
-
Feb 3, 2014With hands of good craftsmen a great basis turns into gold, literally. Well, at least if you render homage to frantic fighting games, or to Kojima's obscure opuses. You see, you'll get the best of both.
-
Jan 30, 2014There are collectibles scattered throughout, like VR missions, but the main draw for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is the entertaining whackiness of the whole thing, including the so-far-over-the-top-it-hits-the-moon violence. For that alone, you get your money's worth.
-
Jan 24, 2014Even with the support of potent hardware, some of the technical problems remain. But nonetheless this is a fast paced action game that you don’t see too often on the PC – and it is surprisingly well implemented in the Metal Gear universe.
-
Jan 20, 2014Despite the flaws and interruptions of the story and presentation, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a superior title.
-
Jan 17, 2014Not the greatest PC port around, but it's pretty well optimized, contains all the DLC and it's still one of the best action games around. All for a ridiculously low price.
-
Jan 17, 2014A stylish, elegant brawler with an absurd sense of humour. More of this sort of thing on PC, please.
-
Jan 14, 2014The superiority of the PC hardware compared to old-gen consoles allow Revengeance combat system to shine, making it an excellent surrogate for Vanquish and Bayonetta on this platform.
-
Jan 14, 2014Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance runs smoothly on PC and includes all the bonus content at a great price.
-
Jan 14, 2014The PC port of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has its share of issues, but it still gets the nod over its console counterparts.
-
Jan 21, 2014Quotation forthcoming.
-
Jan 30, 2014This story-driven combo-slasher is with approximately 5 hours very short, including cut-scenes, which take up more than 2 hours and tend to interrupt gameplay constantly. Combo mechanics are satisfying, the story is not worth mentioning. Lots of senseless violence, the game takes itself way too serious. Merely a port from consoles, mouse controls are awful and the graphics do not meet modern standards.
