As it is this seems like just a cheap reissue. Still, the mechanics of the game have held up much better and as a purely economic sim, it works.
-
The problem with sequels in this day of technology is that you expect the game to be even more tech friendly than the last and this one has not used the technology to its zenith.
-
Sounds interesting, and at times it is, but the game often lacks the immediacy to draw players into the Merchant Prince II universe.
-
The competition is rough and cutthroat at times, but only by mastering the intricacies of 14th-17th century European commerce and politics will you become the richest, most powerful and evil man in Italy.
-
The flawed interface, pathetic artificial intelligence, and extremely dated graphics are bound to frustrate strategy gamers accustomed to games that are both challenging and polished.
-
Fans mightor shouldexpect something more than a six year old DOS to Windows port with a few extras.
