    Mass Effect is the best remaster I have ever played in my life, especially the number 1, it is beautifully in its gameplay and in its lighting problems that it had before. If you liked the game before, it is a must to play it now, and if you never played it, what are you doing? it's the best science fiction saga ever

    They remastered one of best (in my opinion) story driven, RPG experience to date. Even after replaying the original 3-4 times between XBOX and PC, I still played this game on XBOX and PC once again, still as fun as the first times!

    EA, thanks for the opportunity to play with Russian voice acting and English subtitles. This is my favorite childhood game. You gave me back a piece of that time. MAST HAVE!!!!

    A perfected form of a nearly perfect game trilogy. The graphics are much improved, even compared to the fully modded versions of the originals. Mass Effect 1 was always great for story, characters and world-building but left much to be desired when it came to graphics and gameplay. Now you don't have the tolerate the very dated graphics and clunky combat to experience the sense of wonderA perfected form of a nearly perfect game trilogy. Now you don't have the tolerate the very dated graphics and clunky combat to experience the sense of wonder and exploration that the first game always excelled at. Playing it on an HD ultra-wide monitor with maxed out graphics and still hitting 165 FPS was sheer joy. You cannot adjust the field of view but it still looks fantastic. Even with high-end equipment and all the texture mods on the originals, it was hard to really feel like you were on the Citadel or on an actual planet previously in Mass Effect 1. Too many of the graphics were just nondescript blobs. Now, I feel like I am finally seeing these locations for the first time despite having played through the originals more than a few times. Everything I loved about the original games is still here and nothing has been changed but everything has been buffed and polished until it shines even brighter. I miss the multiplayer that Mass Effect 3 included and I hope they decide to continue it in the future but other than that, I cannot find anything to complain about. $60 for all three polished games and all the DLC (except for Pinnacle Station which I personally never liked anyway) is a fantastic value especially if like me, you like to take your time with these characters and really appreciate the story and take in the details. I haven't finished this play-through yet but my guess is it will likely take 100 hours or more to experience everything the Legendary Edition offers. The Mass Effect trilogy is a masterpiece and Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the definitive way to play it. I cannot recommend it highly enough.… Expand

    I can't believe I was late to experience one of the best games I've played in my life. The Mass Effect trilogy sports some of the best writing, character development and choices matter mechanic I've seen to date, and that's on a decade old trilogy. To add to that, combat gameplay itself is aging pretty well, being just as fun as any modern cover shooter in the industry.     While some of the same issues/bugs plague the games - this is a 10/10 remaster. The work they did with ME1 made it a much better game as well as the original ME1 did not age well.

    Bioware released a very nice remaster here.
    As always, don't listen to the haters and butthurt people, because the don't got this one feature.

    It is a great remaster and it runs fantastic, 155+FPS constantly on 3440x1440 with a 3080.

    I would say there are two different audiences that should be discussed regarding Legendary Edition: new players and veterans. If you're a Mass Effect veteran and have all the content on your PC already, you're missing nothing new. It's a barely noticeable upgrade over the original games in terms of gameplay.

    One thing I will say in its benefit for old fans is the remaster of Mass    I would say there are two different audiences that should be discussed regarding Legendary Edition: new players and veterans. If you're a Mass Effect veteran and have all the content on your PC already, you're missing nothing new. It's a barely noticeable upgrade over the original games in terms of gameplay.

    One thing I will say in its benefit for old fans is the remaster of Mass Effect 1. While 2 and 3 have minimal changes, Mass Effect 1 feels like a completely modernized experience. My metacritic review for OG Mass Effect 1 is a 9/10, but in terms of how it felt and how I enjoyed it as an RPG in the year 2020, it was more of an 8/10. Legendary Edition boosts it to a 9/10 by fixing issues with optimization, lighting, character models, and some of the overall jank (although the experience is still janky by today's standards.) The visuals of Mass Effect 1 received some subtle changes that made the game look pretty meh to absolutely gorgeous in places. It still feels out of date in places considering it's an early 7th-generation action RPG by a studio who has seemingly always struggled to make games with fun combat (in my opinion,) but it's a much smoother overall experience that I absolutely adore. Legendary Edition made Mass Effect 1 go from the game I looked forward to the least to the game I looked forward to the most in any trilogy playthrough, and I want to give BioWare a ton of credit for that.

    However, if you have never played a Mass Effect game before and are looking for an RPG, I cannot recommend this game enough. For $60, you get 3 great RPG's that go well over 100 hours when all is said and done. This includes all DLC and all features of the original games except for multiplayer in ME3. You get a great story, good combat, and meet some amazing characters as you battle foes throughout the Milky Way galaxy.    … Expand

    Absolutely loving playing though the remastered trilogy. Few of the gameplay mechanics feel slightly dated, but the story, characters, music, and atmosphere are crazy good.

Первая часть была интересной, я даже квесты не выпослял а просто исследовал галактику. Во 2 и 3 Mass Effectне на то время не получилось поиграть из-за отсутствия мощного компьютера того времени. В начале 2014 года сгорает старый компьютер и покупается новый и я тут же иду скачивать последний Принц Персии Забытые пески и 2 и 3 Mass Effect. Проходил я на ультра настройках графики (60 FPS), на высоких сложностях. Третью часть проходил 3 раза. Один раз как спидраннер, второй и третий полностью на 100%. Потом я второй сыграл, тоже идеальная и первую часть перепрошёл на ультра настройках (60 FPS). Мультиплеер третьего Mass Effect идеален и игроки которые в него досихпор играли даже после выхода Андромеды это подтвердят. Выходит Андромеда - и это ужас. Оптимизация: ужасная. Mass Effect 3 у меня на ультрах (60 FPS) шёл, в Андромеде жестокие фризы. Андромеда - она недостойна чтобы её даже и с торрентов скачивали. И сейчас вышел ремастер всей трилогии в 4К 60Fps. Я заявляю что перепройду всю игру с большим удовольствием. Ну и в мультиплеер пойду.… Expand

    Amazing job done by BioWare. Whatever bugs the game had on release, they are long gone, only small details need to be polished. Graphically, it's wonderful. Far better than the ME3 mods. Of course, the whole problem with the ending is another topic. Sad that this game is getting bombed by angry reviewers about subtitles.

    Three of the greatest games ever made and the greatest video game trilogy out there.
    The first game has seen numerous improvements. Graphically it's been improved quite a bit and the combat is now much smoother. There are a few bugs but nothing game breaking. I will also point out that some of the facial retexture's look a little off but only in rare cases.

    Having the whole trilogy + all DLC in one big package for 60 bucks would be a good deal in and of itself (no really, go and put every game plus the DLC in your basket and look at the total price). But the main offer of the ME:LE is a 4K remaster. For instance, ME1 looked dated even back in 2007, but now it looks like it came out a few years ago. The remaster doesn't actually stop there, though. With the added changes in gameplay, they've managed to make the combat of ME1, originally barely bearable even with mods, actually enjoyable. They have done so without losing the style and substance of any of the games. There are no subtractions or lateral moves, everything in the MELE is an upgrade.

    It's a great story which evolves over three games and several story DLC, and now you can't use the excuse of dated visuals or gameplay to not check it out. Not sure what else to say, really. Everyone should play through Mass Effect, and this is the way to do it in 2021.    … Expand

    8/10. As a player of the original trilogy, I had to give this edition a try. And I loved it. Everything has improved, ME1 combat feels more adequate... although the maps clearly haven't been designed with the ME2/ME3 style of combat in mind. The UI itself was redesigned as well, but there are significant differences between the 3 games; I honestly expected it to be merged together somehow.8/10. As a player of the original trilogy, I had to give this edition a try. And I loved it. I do understand the difficulties of doing this, considered how the original trilogy itself has improved from one game to the other. All in all, this game is a solid 8. However, I'm giving it top score to counter balance the rusky crybabies that are giving it a 0 because they don't like the voice overs. Get yourselves an education and play with english audio and subtitles. Who gives a 0 because of that? Oh right, rusky crybabies.… Expand

    A great remaster of the best video game series ever created. Was a pleasure to replay through the trilogy on this remaster, and have gone back to replay yet again. Easily the most emotional and engaging story line of any game I've ever played.

Es geht straight geradeaus ohne viel schnick schnack und Plantenbegutachtung, wie in ME1, was wir dann in abgespeckter Form in ME3 leider wieder hatten (landen und auf einem Planten rumfahren bleibt einem hier zum Glück erspart), das Schiff war auch am übersichtlichsten inkl. das Menü, nur die Hilfestellung mit der neuen Galaxiekarte nicht.     Mass Effect 3 hat auch eine schöne Story, die Story wird ja weitergeführt, aber es wirkt alles etwas abstoßender und unpersönlicher, trotzdem noch sehr viel besser als in anderen heutigen oder damaligen Spielen und es ist nicht konsequent so, irgendwie gemischt, Ashleys Verhalten finde ich vor allem sehr verwirrend und nicht ganz nachvollziehbar. I started the game thinking I would play a little and never touch the game much but I was so absorbed into everything about it. The lore, the characters, the gameplay, everything. This trilogy ended up becoming my favourite and I would actually replay all three games when I can.     I don't understand why the user review scores are low. Those who give 10 points to ridiculous games had a hard time giving it to this game. It is one of the best game series in the world and it is offered the chance to play with much better graphics. In short, there is nothing to say. If you don't like this game, please stay away from video games.

    If you haven't played the Mass Effect trilogy, the Legendary Edition is perfect. For a very reasonable price, you get 3 games and all their DLCs. And such great games. Great story, great characters, great lore, great music...
    The ME1's gameplay may feel a bit old, but ME2 and 3 are still good. And visually, it's good too. Also, your choices matter. Maybe not as much as some other games, but a lot more than most.
    Small warning however, the ending is disappointing and not on par with the rest of the game. But that should not prevent you from playing it.

    You like sci-fi? You like games with a great narrative? You like games with choices? You like action RPGs? Just play this game.    … Expand

    Honestly, the PC version of this trilogy is really good. There are a few bugs here and there that EA and Bioware left in and never fixed, but in the long run its still a good game, and those bugs have been fixed by fans. As for the lip sync bug some people have, that is a hardware issue, only way to fix that is to install the game on an SSD. But yeah, I loved the trilogy back when I was inHonestly, the PC version of this trilogy is really good.     khm... I love metacritic to see this all reviews espacially for this one. Mostly because of Mass Effect 1 , Mass Effect 1 was great game but had problems in cover system that's why combat wasn't so great. But how they fix it in legendary edition is great . Mass Effect 2 was great game maybe one of best rpg's ever and Mass Effect 3 is good had good story there where problems.

Once upon a time, Bioware was firing on all cylinders, with the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises serving as the top-of-the-line RPGs of the day. I now vaguely remember the details of the games, but certain moments have stuck with me forever, and I have no idea what I did with those original discs - not that it would matter in this age of discless data. So I was pretty excited to hear the entire series was getting a facelift and modern makeover. I've only just started the original again, and look forward to the hundreds of hours of relationship-building, character development, and plot twists. So far everything is running butter smooth on my low-mid range laptop (Geforce GTX 1650), with everything presumably cranked to the highest levels. I say 'presumably' because the options for graphical adjustment are very few.

    I just hope newcomers stick with the series long enough to experience just how good the series ultimately gets.

    The one thing that keeps this from being a '10' for me, is that you can't play it without Origin's intrusive nonsense gateway software, something people have been complaining about for decades, but which publishers have dug in their heels and insisted they all have (which means we gamers have to navigate and put up with a half dozen or more of these stupid gateways). There is also now a Photo Mode so you can accomplish your dream of applying filters to your Commander Shepard selfies.

    However, despite the many improvements, there seems to be many issues introduced such as new bugs, crashes-to-Desktop, audio glitches and framerate drops - issues that I never encountered when playing the original games prior to the remaster. The remaster also didn't fix everything so there are still annoying aspects of gameplay such as the ability to carry around way too much junk in the original Mass Effect or grinding your way through the Planetary Scanner mini-game in Mass Effect 2.    … Expand

    ME1 certainly benefits the most from a remaster. Playing this game with updated graphics is a dream come true. It was as distant from the rest of the trilogy as The Witcher 1 is from 2 & 3. It was always playable, but in the back of my mind I couldn't wait to get to the other games with much better graphics. The Citadel is gorgeous, combat is fluid and not clunky in that 2000s-era Bioware way, and the textures are awesome (alexvl has a crappy computer or needs to adjust their settings). Touching down on planets and driving the Mako isn't just tolerable, it's actually fun.

    One of the better remasters in recent memory, right up there with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. The price point for all three games is great. Anyone who says otherwise has some major entitlement issues. Thank you Bioware for not screwing this up!    … Expand

The basic gameplay and distinctive style of the three games haven´t been touched, which is excellent. You can experience all three games the way it was in the originals. The game´s story is deep, rich and not immature, I love the intellectual level and depth of this game - BUT: When Mass Effect 3´s DLC called "Citadel" happens, everything falls apart and suddenly you´re faced with half baked dialogue, rowdy and pubertal jokes even during serious battles and situations, it´s so extremely out of place, it bares every description. It seems like a completely different development team took care of that specific DLC. I overwhelmingly hate it, because it destroys the integrity of all those great characters by putting absolutely unlikely words into their mouths during that DLC. It feels like some 12 year olds wrote the scripts... You have to suffer through about 2 hours of dreadfully bad writing and an overall weird experience (which differs from the rest as well). Fortunately, when that "Citadel" DLC finally ends, everything changes back to EXCELLENT again. Go and get that Legendary Edition guys, it´s a must have / must play! It could have been a 10/10 for me, but that Citadel DLC was so undeserving, I have to rate it a 9/10 because of that.… Expand

    A great remaster. The clunky controls from the first game got a great upgrade and the games flow together well, now, while retaining so the things that made the such a great trilogy. For the folks complaining about the RPG elements being simplified... You don't have to do that. They have an option to play it as it originally was tuned and designed. I'm loving it. :)

    I only give this a 9/10 because I never cared for the gun play of the game. It's fine. Back in the day it was on par if not better than many other shooters... and i still didn't care about the gunplay then. It's fine.

    The story, the environments, the choices and the consequences, that is what I'm here for. I don't want to spoil anything but the more you put into this amazing space oddessy of epic proportions the more you get out of it. It's crazy to see things from the first game, seemingly side missions, play out into the larger story by the end. Everything seems to matter and the stakes get so high. I love the crew of all three games and the game pulls you in emotionally. You become Shepard. It's fantastic. I'll be playing this again in a few years.

    I have a habit of playing games only once and then never touching them again but Mass effect LE is the only game that I revisit each year and play the whole trilogy atleast twice even though I played the original trilogy multiple times I just can't get bored of this game.

But i am giving a 9 because i played the games through and through to see the flaws but never undermining the game`s potential on the contrary i wish for more games like Mass Effect that was well put with such love for the game`s overall, because most games today have 1 to 2 elements and lack other, Mass Effect captures in its entirety have a complex storyline, very delicate decisions that are game changing through all 3 games, companions that have diverse views on religion and political issues, a flexible and adaptable battle system since you can choose between 2 more characters to balance the party. But my major love for it its how the game is so complete and displays issues that could bring critical discussions points for our current life using a fictional world and fictional characters, its a game that makes you think about how metaphorical some of its elements can be to the current political and religious power in disguise, only who see the world today on its core and played the games could complex points of view on such an issue. I don't understand why they decided this of all things need to be removed from the game. The game is a literal space soap-opera with love, friendship and also some semi-sexy (and cringeworthy) scenes.

I hadn't played the DLCs for any of the games so it was nice to experience them all at once when I sat down and played through the games when ME:LE was released. Also, until they add multiplayer for ME3 we are left with a game that offers less than the original did. And since they spent all this time and effort doing this remake they could have thrown in some more weapons and armor.

    The "remake" effort was very minimal, the improvement in graphics for the first installment would be something that I would consider a must have, so they don't get a lot of points for that. Other than that, they chose not to change much, which is something that I can't really fault, but then again I would expect some work be put into fixing old bugs and widely known issues. We get none of that. The issues that you ready about on older fan forums and wikis are present in Legendary just like they were in the old version. I would have welcomed some QoL improvements over the past versions (as opt in choices for advanced users, so your experience wouldn't be tainted unless you really wanted to). The only thing we get is level up scaling choice between the classic approach and a newer one. Since they don't fix much apart from deprecated graphics and they don't do anything to improve upon the old formula - my conclusion is that this is a very, very low effort.

    What worked for the games originally still stands up to scrutiny and there aren't many viable alternatives. So having a slightly modernised version is unfortunately good enough. I also didn't get a chance to play with many of the DLC originally, so replaying directly in the legendary improved my impression from a 7 to an 8, final verdict.     Didn't expect it., but Bioware delivered as promised. Improved graphics and gameplay in an amazing trilogy. It was really a nice suprise.

    Oyunun RPG öğeleri, ekibinizi yönetme, size bağlanmalarını sağlama, onların saygısını kazanma muhabbetleri ikinci oyununun gerisinde. Ama burada da bir kaç kilit karar alıyorsunuz. Wrex ile olan muhabbet bunun en iyi örneklerindendi. Oyuna dair rahatsız olduğum şeylerden birisi ise ekibini çok hızlı oluşturmanız. Farklı türlerden canlılar bir anda size katılmak için can atıyor nedense. Size çok saygı duyup güveniyorlar falan. İki dakika önce bir yabancıydık oysa ki. Oyunu yapanlar da bunun farkına varmış olacak ki ikinci oyunda direkt bunun üzerine eğilmişler. Çok da iyi olmuş.

    Combat mekaniği serinin geri kalanıyla aynı. Özel yetenekler falan birebir aynı. Güzel bir temel atılmış, taktik kurmak gerekiyor biraz. Ama seri boyunca hiç gelişmediğini görmek biraz canımı sıktı.

    Normalde çok sevdiğim açık dünya oyunlarında tüm yan görevleri yaparım. Bu oyunda hiç, gerçekten hiç yan görev yapmadım. Doğrudan hikayeyi deneyimlemek istedim. Citadel'de veya galaksinin diğer yerlerinde dolaşmak ben çok keyifli gelmiyor nedense.

    Oyuna muazzam bir hikaye temeli atılmış. Genel olarak konusu, hikayesi ve diyaloglar şahane. Aklıma ne zaman Mass Effect gelse Expanse dizisi de geliyor. Kitap ve dizinin bu oyun serisinden aldığı çok fazla şey var.

    İki serinin bir daha benzerlerinin yapılamayacağını düşünürüm hep. Sinema için LOTR neyse oyun sektöründe de Mass Effect o. Başından sonuna düzgün anlatılmış, saçma sapan ideolojik şeylere kurban gitmemiş, üçleme olmaları nedeniyle tekrarları iyice zorlaşan iki şaheser.    … Expand

    Mass effect 1 gameplay would be nice if they throw their hands, but I was very annoyed, but the gameplay in the 2nd and 3rd game was not bad, although it was not great.

    The game is good. But as a port it's not fantastic. A FOV slider would be great, and there is a distinct lack of options in the video settings. However, the game runs well and the frame rates have been consistently high for me (no dips unless you have too many shift+tab tabs open on steam).

    Probably going to be finishing up a replay of the Mass Effect Trilogy tonight, and will definitely by Wednesday. Holds up as one of the best stories in gaming history. That said, the Legendary Edition was a lazy remaster and far from the remake I wish it was. Especially ME1.

    Overall, combat is buggy, especially compared to modern standards, with a lot of clipping into surfaces and really dumb AI (a problem that runs through all 3 games) and the visuals definitely show age in the first 2.

    The story and characters more than make up for gameplay shortcomings, but for something that was sold as a AAA developer to have graphics that fall short when compared to a game like Outer Worlds, released 2 years earlier from a smaller studio, is borderline in excusable.

    All of that said, I've had a lot of fun with this replay, I agree with the overall sentiment I've heard that Fem!Shep's voice acting is better than Masc!Shep, and I really *really* love Tali and Liara's character arcs through the series. I also appreciated Legion's story a lot more this time around than the first two (mostly because I went out of my way to make sure Tali lives and the Geth & Quarians live in peace).    … Expand

However ME1 is still pretty clunky, Insanity is pretty easy aside from snipers (who will oneshot you the moment you come out of cover sometimes, real frustrating), the Mako sections are still a chore (the problem isn't the Mako, it's the terrain).     Limited graphic settings so not much scalability, your system will run the game or it won't. No FoV slider, but there is a mod now, however it caps out at 100 at the moment. ME3 will be the worst one to replay, I played it at launch, was really soured at how many corners they cut, replayed it last year, thought it was a bit better with all the DLC, but still really sloppy writing. So know what you're getting into, at least you can do it all in about a week or so of playing now rather than years of imagining all the directions they can take the game with all the potential it has, only to be let down by some shoddy workmanship in the end. But that's life - disappointment and people being people. This trilogy is really just a reminder of the limitations of escapism through art - you're reliant on people doing a good job, and with ME, those people ultimately dropped the ball. But man it sure was something looking forward to ME3 back in the day, wondering how they'd tie it all up, since the Reapers were supposed to be indestructible.

    As is this is a trilogy that ultimately fails to deliver on its promise of epicness and resorts to cheesy, incoherent writing to force the concepts of the finale through, and for owners of the original games, this is an $80CDN texture pack and patch for ME1 (which still has bugs that were present in the original), ME2 gets more ammo, and any changes they did to ME3 were unannounced.    … Expand

    Playing this on Steamdeck and I love the story and the gameplay is good enough. Mass effect 3 is quite an amazing game and it’s great to have on the go… for the 20 minutes you get to play without internet. All of my problems with this game are because of the EA launcher. It takes 3 to 10 minutes for the game to load up and if you disconnect a pop up comes up saying there is an error.Playing this on Steamdeck and I love the story and the gameplay is good enough.     Some things about Legendary Edition disappointed or irritated me (no support for the mods, no option to import save files or characters from the original games, no multiplayer in ME3, Denuvo, some bugs and glitches) but as an avid fan who played through the trilogy many times, I enjoyed the remasters immensely.     Mass Effect Legendary Edition is not just a love letter to fans, but also a great gift that BioWare is making to newcomers to the series. Although some of the issues present in the original games haven't been fixed, there are so many improvements to the first two Mass Effect titles that I'm willing to overlook the minor bugs. The entire trilogy sends players throughout this amazing sci-fi universe that feels alive and vibrant everywhere you look. Perhaps these games should have been remastered separately to get the attention they deserve, but having the entire trilogy in a single bundle that's perfectly playable nearly 15 years after the release of the first game is surely convenient.

    Beautiful, engaging and every bit as fun as it was nearly 15 years ago, Mass Effect Legendary Edition lives up to the name. It's a gorgeous, robust title that will make veterans remember how much they enjoyed the series while giving newcomers a memorable ride for the first time. There's no question you should pick this up if you fall into either category because Commander Shepard deserves that much attention.
