    Comrades from Bioware, can you explain why in the remaster of the first Mass Effect it is impossible to put English dubbing and Russian subtitles?     A great remaster of one of the best game trilogies of all time. Quality of life fixes (mostly for ME1), updated graphics, DLC, along with minor changes to make playing the game more enjoyable. Modding is still available for anyone still wishing to further fine tune their game as well.     I am overall mostly happy with the Legendary Edition but the lack of multiplayer, bugs, poor localization, and unpolished nature of the package can leave players frustrated and unsatisfied. I've yet to play Mass Effect 3 in the Legendary Edition at the time of this review but I've played it many time with the DLC on Xbox 360 and can assume as Mass Effect 2 had limited changes 3 is more orI am overall mostly happy with the Legendary Edition but the lack of multiplayer, bugs, poor localization, and unpolished nature of the package can leave players frustrated and unsatisfied. I've yet to play Mass Effect 3 in the Legendary Edition at the time of this review but I've played it many time with the DLC on Xbox 360 and can assume as Mass Effect 2 had limited changes 3 is more or less the same as well.

    Complete trash port. No voices on ME1 and the fix is long. The game should work but NO we are expecting too much. Always selling incomplete and half baked trash. Just a cashgrab. Use ALOT on original trilogy instead.

    I teraz kilka moich uwag odnośnie tej edycji (a właściwie pierwszego ME) :
    1). EA nie tylko nie wyeliminowało bugów z oryginału, ale i dodało nowe - np. na Feros gdy możemy podejść do świecącej się kuli w odnóżach żniwiarza gra mi się zgliczowała i do końca misji na tej planecie moja postać nie mogła korzystać z osłon, bo..nie.
    2). Nie wiem czy to błąd, ale po pierwszej wizycie w    I teraz kilka moich uwag odnośnie tej edycji (a właściwie pierwszego ME) :
    1). EA nie tylko nie wyeliminowało bugów z oryginału, ale i dodało nowe - np. na Feros gdy możemy podejść do świecącej się kuli w odnóżach żniwiarza gra mi się zgliczowała i do końca misji na tej planecie moja postać nie mogła korzystać z osłon, bo..nie.

    2). Nie wiem czy to błąd, ale po pierwszej wizycie w sklepiku na cytadeli (kwatermistrz) mogłem już kupić broń dla widm (niestety nie miałem hajsu, a Kaidana nikt nie chciał kupić:), ale gdy już zostałem widmem i miałem odpowiednią ilość hajsu to dopiero łaskawie gra pozwoliła mi na zakup tych broni dopiero po misji na Virmirze, gdy już miałem maksymalną ilość kasy - wtedy jak wcześniej zniknęły z oferty kwatermistrza te bronie, tak nagle się pojawiły! Czad!

    3). Inteligencja przeciwników i naszych towarzyszy - Jezusie słodki, nie pamiętam czy tak było w oryginale, ale na średnim poziomie trudności nasi przeciwnicy potrafią się zablokować (stać w miejscu) i nie reagować na to, że do nich nawalamy. Nasi towarzysze to już w ogóle kretyni! Stanie taki Wrex i napierdziela w ścianę, bo za ścianą jest przeciwnik!

    4). Optymalizacja! Nie wiem co EA zrobiło, ale na planetach na których nie ma głównych misji, ale na których możemy wylądować bardzo często podczas jazdy Maco pojawia się praktycznie 'slajd szoł"! Na RTXie 3080 w 1440p gra potrafi wyświetlać nawet po 40 klatek na sekundę! Natomiast na planetach gdzie są główne misje nie ma tego problemu! I z tego co czytałem na internetach nie jest to tylko mój problem! Brawo EA!

    5). Grafika dupy nie urywa, ale jest ok. Muzyka - nie ma się czego doczepić.

    6). I najgorsze i to co na 100% odrzuci nowych graczy od ME LE - brak usprawnień w stosunku do oryginału! To, co zostało poprawione w ME2 można było bardzo łatwo przenieść do ME 1 LE - np. informacja w % o eksploracji planet! Jestem osobą która "liże ściany" - mam zrobione wszystkie misje poboczne oprócz jednej - mam 6 artefaktów Protean i naprawdę nie chce mi się już szukać ostatniego, siódmego fragmentu - za dużo planet i brak jakiejkolwiek informacji o tym, gdzie już byłem - nie mam już ochoty po 31 godzinach gry oblatywać na nowo wszystkich planet! A oprócz tego mam wszystko zrobione - i pisma Asari i te badziewia od Turian i wszystkie minerały! Ech EA - a wystarczyło dołożyć wzorem dwójeczki procentową ilość eksploatacji planet!

    7). Gra jak wciągała kiedyś, tak wciąga nadal teraz! Ale nowi gracze odbiją się od tej edycji z prostego powodu - archaizmów i naleciałości "czasowych" tych gier (zwłaszcza jedynki). A oryginalne edycje wraz z DLC nadal kosztują niewspółmiernie dużo w stosunku do tego, co obecnie oferują!

    8). Ja ME1 z EL oceniam na 6/10 i ani punktu więcej! Zwłaszcza, że nie ma tutaj dodatku Pinnacle Station (DLC "Niebo" na szczęście jest!).

    9). Oficjalna blokada regionalna - albo grasz z polskim dubbingiem, albo z angielskim! Nie można grać z angielskim dubbingiem i polskimi napisami - bo nie! Na szczęście na nexusie są dostępne mody dzięki którym można spokojnie ustawić angielski dubbing i polskie napisy - ale tylko w wersji PC. Jak można takie badziewie wydawać w 2021 roku!?! EA to jednak stan umysłu!!!

    Odnośnie ME2 i 3 z LE, to moje wrażenie jest jedno : Jezus Maria jak oni mogli to tak sp....ć!?! DLC w oryginale ME2 miałem spolszczone (mody) i wiedziałem, że w edycji LE nie będzie ich po naszemu, ale na Boga - Kasumi, czy Zead niekiedy mają spolszczone dialogi (mowa o napisach), a niekiedy nie! WTF?!? I najlepsze - opisy niektórych broni, czy pancerzy są po angielsku, a niektóre po polsku! A teraz gwóźdź programu : w menu gdzie wybieram sobie jaką amunicję używam i zmieniam giwery nawet jest lokalizacyjny misz-masz - granat inferno i cały jego opis jest po angielsku, a np. opis strzału wstrząsowego jest już po polsku! Ja pi.....ę EA - wam się nie chciało nawet wrzucić opisów broni z DLC do "gugle translatora" i tłumaczenia wrzucić do gry! Wam się nie chciało nawet zajumać tłumaczeń od moderów i wkleić ich do gry! Ja pier....! Jak można było odwalić taką manianę?!! Ja się wcale nie dziwię, że EA Polska, że na fejsie, twitku i insta siedzi cicho! Coś co można załatać jednym patchem nigdy nie zostanie załatane oficjalnie, jak znam EA. Sprawę naprawią moderzy za jakiś czas! Jak można za takie gówno wołać 270zł! ME1 z LE faktycznie widać, że jest coś zrobili. Dwójka praktycznie nic nie jest poprawione względem oryginału. Trójka pewnie tak samo! Ech... Ta cała Edycja Legendarna nie jest warta więcej jak 59.99zł.

    I ostanie : DLC które w oryginale są tylko po angielsku na mapie galaktyki mają nawet opisy po angielsku! Brawo EA! Brawo!

    Jak dla mnie to oceniam to coś na 3/10. Za 59zł i mniej warto - inaczej omijać!    … Expand

    Additional Fair Warning, the review and Score only represents whats offerd in this Package! Not the Score of the Original Games itself, wich are a Holy Masterpiece of modern Gaming thanks to extraordinary Companions and Humor paired with a brilliant Epic Story!

    ME1: was nowhere near of what i expected it to be, a few higher Textures here and there and lots of old and new Bugs made it hard to enjoy once you put down your Nostalgia Sunglasses.
    Frameratedrops and stuttering on Planets while driving around with the Mako, hell i am able to play almost all modern Games in Ultra Details 60fps+ Cyberpunk? check! Tomb Raider? check! and the List goes on... and then you look at a Diashow in ME1 remaster O.o
    The Gameplay was still clunky and the Worlds lifeless, a few minor Details would have worked Wonders there.

    ME2: currently playing and witnessing alot of Bugs in Animations and Game errors up to freezes or Crashes so most likely no good Feedback too...good thing this is free for ea pro subs, would have already refunded the 60$ they want...

И отличий там совсем практически нет...Кроме графона который скорее всего натянут нейросетями.. О как ЕА и заработали нехило на фанатах и работать не пришлось...     Sempre quis jogar essa franquia, porem o que me impede de fazer isso era a falta de legendas em PT BR, hoje posso entender bem o inglês, mas não pretendo gastar em um game tão caro que nem ao menos tem suporte ao meu idioma.

The graphics itself is improved, the music is good, some planets are made more beautiful than the original versions. But that's all.     Also, if you're rating this 1 or 0 out of 10 because the Russian dubbing is bad, you're really missing the point here.

    I didn’t play the original games, and always wanted to, so I waited for this collection when they announced it. This is a great collection for me and I recommend at this price for anyone who hasn’t played Mass Effect. I’ve got all the games in one place with remastered graphics. Like all remasters, the original fans will debate if the price tag is really worth the minor upgrades.     Disgusting remaster. In the first part, all realism is simply destroyed. Everything is as bright as a comic book. The first meeting with the Reaper is just laughter through tears. Danger is not felt at all. Realism is completely lost. You cannot put the desired subtitles and the desired language. RUSSIAN SUBTITLES AND ENGLISH VOICE! Just disgusting and slipshod work.     I love the game. I'm playing whole trilogy from start to finish at least once a year.
    I mostly like the ME1 in LE, I like the textures, new UI, even new control is fine (except for mako, in my opinion classic is good, with classic I could scope and move in desired location, however new one is not so easy and most of the time I go toward    Great game, I have both original copies and LE.

Some bugs are also breaking the picture (you can toggle helmets for the squad if you go to squad menu via esc, direct access to squad menu wont allow you toggle helmets on your team). Also during my ME1LE run I've experienced dozens of crashes, while the original game could run for 6-7 hours without a single crash. Lots of bugs from original still exists (Noveria infinite Paragon and Renegade points etc).
    However my negative point is not for that. I'm giving the lowest point possible because in 2021 you can bring more configuration control to end-user, give them ability to change graphics as they want to, bacause those lens flairs are killing my eyes, I want to have contol on bloom, depth of field etc.

Yes there is the way to alter some files to be able to play with Russian subs and original voices. But why? Why should I dive deep into files architecture and fix something? Sadly, no miracles to be expected, it is still a 2007 game which can now run in 4K and wide screens - but still has look and feel of a 2007 game. It is just now you can see emptiness of the details and year 2007 level of textures and animation in 4K. Yeah, amazing.

As for this remaster, it gives us zero new experience, only bugs and limitations. I still need to say that I picked up this game because I was a huge fan back when the originals was released, up till I had finished ME3 and the ending did not only kill Shepard but also my and even Biowares soul. In my case my soul was restored, the same can sadly not be said about BioWare. What a lovely chance they had of improving the ending(s) of ME3 with this release, the ending(s) that de facto killed the entire franchise. If EA and BioWare would have taken this opportunity and given us a chance to get a truly happy ending by letting us finish the entire series with saving the council, no one dying in the “suicide mission” and collecting enough war points it would have saved the trilogy even if it was nine years too late. It would have given a healthy vitamin injection and created a much needed hype for their next installment that so far we have only seen a teaser trailer of.

    But why give the fans what they want when they can repeat the same mistake one more time? Love ME1 and ME2 so much that my daughters name is Tali but really dislike ME3 for so many reasons. ME3 is a soulless husk compared to the two other games not only counting the ending but also the dialog options, or should I say lack of options? ME3 has a slightly better combat system but not many people played these games for the combat, at least I did not so ME3 still sours the dish by making a first class flight crash in the middle of taliban controlled Afghanistan in an explosion with the color of your choice.

    I cannot give this more than 5 despite the two first games being so good as the ending is important and in many cases defines our perception of the entire journey.    … Expand

    Three of the greatest games ever made and the greatest video game trilogy out there.
    The first game has seen numerous improvements. Graphically it's been improved quite a bit and the combat is now much smoother. There are a few bugs but nothing game breaking. I will also point out that some of the facial retexture's look a little off but only in rare cases.

    As always, don't listen to the haters and butthurt people, because the don't got this one feature.

    It is a great remaster and it runs fantastic, 155+FPS constantly on 3440x1440 with a 3080.

I now vaguely remember the details of the games, but certain moments have stuck with me forever, and I have no idea what I did with those original discs - not that it would matter in this age of discless data. So I was pretty excited to hear the entire series was getting a facelift and modern makeover. I've only just started the original again, and look forward to the hundreds of hours of relationship-building, character development, and plot twists. So far everything is running butter smooth on my low-mid range laptop (Geforce GTX 1650), with everything presumably cranked to the highest levels. I say 'presumably' because the options for graphical adjustment are very few.

    I just hope newcomers stick with the series long enough to experience just how good the series ultimately gets.

    The one thing that keeps this from being a '10' for me, is that you can't play it without Origin's intrusive nonsense gateway software, something people have been complaining about for decades, but which publishers have dug in their heels and insisted they all have (which means we gamers have to navigate and put up with a half dozen or more of these stupid gateways). Потом я второй сыграл, тоже идеальная и первую часть перепрошёл на ультра настройках (60 FPS). Мультиплеер третьего Mass Effect идеален и игроки которые в него досихпор играли даже после выхода Андромеды это подтвердят. Выходит Андромеда - и это ужас. Оптимизация: ужасная. Mass Effect 3 у меня на ультрах (60 FPS) шёл, в Андромеде жестокие фризы. Андромеда - она недостойна чтобы её даже и с торрентов скачивали. И сейчас вышел ремастер всей трилогии в 4К 60Fps. Я заявляю что перепройду всю игру с большим удовольствием. Ну и в мультиплеер пойду.… Expand

    Eight, you will need some luck to play the game. For me, my game crashed a few times first trying to play the game. Steam auto installed something a few time, finally I entered the game, instead stucking at the selection screen. Good work
    Eight, even they added gamepad support which is nice. But sometimes it don't work as expected. I faced sensitivity incrased suddenly. Skipping dialoge. In the hacking menu, d-pad either don't work

    Unfortunately in Russian localization we can't use the English original sound and Russian subtitles. Russian localization is terrible and most players can't hear it without blood from his ears. Also, we have problems with launcher and EA support keep silent all weekend.

    - very bad 21:9 support, even it was advertised it will be supported - cutscenes and dialogues are in 16:9, modders fixed this after 48h, and they couldn't do it for months in development

    - but second and third game is the thing we already have on PC with mods - there are close to none changes compared to textures mods, and compared to first game most of the effects stayed as they are, this seems really lazy, they should do the same approach to second and third game, improve it more than mods actually do
    - some weird graphical glitches here and there, mostly in first game
    - broken surround sound in first game - again, it's super easy to fix, you just need to download new OpenAL32.dll and replace it and it's fixed, but why Bioware didn't do it? No idea
    - HDR support is great addition, really like it
    - no option to disable mouse acceleration? what a hell? again, there is super easy fix to ini file, but this should be added to game options
    - also no fov slider - though i don't care about this too much, it's fine for me as it is

    Overall i would say that they should really reduce the price for PC players having previous games, 60$ for basically improved first game, and two others where we already had this graphical level most of the time is kind of expensive. If you are newcommer to a game i recommend buying this legendary edition, those are amazing games that you must play. But if you already played it, have original trilogy and don't have 60$ to pay for this then pass and wait until it will be in ea play or cost around 20$ which i think will be fair price then.    … Expand

    Limited graphic settings so not much scalability, your system will run the game or it won't. No FoV slider, but there is a mod now, however it caps out at 100 at the moment. ME3 will be the worst one to replay, I played it at launch, was really soured at how many corners they cut, replayed it last year, thought it was a bit better with all the DLC, but still really sloppy writing. So know what you're getting into, at least you can do it all in about a week or so of playing now rather than years of imagining all the directions they can take the game with all the potential it has, only to be let down by some shoddy workmanship in the end. But that's life - disappointment and people being people. This trilogy is really just a reminder of the limitations of escapism through art - you're reliant on people doing a good job, and with ME, those people ultimately dropped the ball. But man it sure was something looking forward to ME3 back in the day, wondering how they'd tie it all up, since the Reapers were supposed to be indestructible.

    As is this is a trilogy that ultimately fails to deliver on its promise of epicness and resorts to cheesy, incoherent writing to force the concepts of the finale through, and for owners of the original games, this is an $80CDN texture pack and patch for ME1 (which still has bugs that were present in the original), ME2 gets more ammo, and any changes they did to ME3 were unannounced.    … Expand

Mass Effect 1 was always great for story, characters and world-building but left much to be desired when it came to graphics and gameplay. Playing it on an HD ultra-wide monitor with maxed out graphics and still hitting 165 FPS was sheer joy. You cannot adjust the field of view but it still looks fantastic. Even with high-end equipment and all the texture mods on the originals, it was hard to really feel like you were on the Citadel or on an actual planet previously in Mass Effect 1. Too many of the graphics were just nondescript blobs. Now, I feel like I am finally seeing these locations for the first time despite having played through the originals more than a few times. Everything I loved about the original games is still here and nothing has been changed but everything has been buffed and polished until it shines even brighter. I miss the multiplayer that Mass Effect 3 included and I hope they decide to continue it in the future but other than that, I cannot find anything to complain about. $60 for all three polished games and all the DLC (except for Pinnacle Station which I personally never liked anyway) is a fantastic value especially if like me, you like to take your time with these characters and really appreciate the story and take in the details. I haven't finished this play-through yet but my guess is it will likely take 100 hours or more to experience everything the Legendary Edition offers. The Mass Effect trilogy is a masterpiece and Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the definitive way to play it. I cannot recommend it highly enough.… Expand

    A great remaster. The clunky controls from the first game got a great upgrade and the games flow together well, now, while retaining so the things that made the such a great trilogy. For the folks complaining about the RPG elements being simplified... You don't have to do that. They have an option to play it as it originally was tuned and designed. I'm loving it. :)

    Bare minimum upgrade , with tampering to the origional games that were masterpeices..MA 1 was an RPG, now is a generic shooter. I played all 3 game right before this remaster was released and just limethe Sillent Hill HD collection, changes have been made that effect , mood, context, even some conversations have been messed with.

    Mass Effect is the best remaster I have ever played in my life, especially the number 1, it is beautifully in its gameplay and in its lighting problems that it had before. If you liked the game before, it is a must to play it now, and if you never played it, what are you doing? it's the best science fiction saga ever

It's a cohesive story with choices and consequences that transfer from game to game. When people try to come up with an example of something similar, they have to do it with various caveats.

    Having the whole trilogy + all DLC in one big package for 60 bucks would be a good deal in and of itself (no really, go and put every game plus the DLC in your basket and look at the total price). But the main offer of the ME:LE is a 4K remaster. For instance, ME1 looked dated even back in 2007, but now it looks like it came out a few years ago. The remaster doesn't actually stop there, though. With the added changes in gameplay, they've managed to make the combat of ME1, originally barely bearable even with mods, actually enjoyable. They have done so without losing the style and substance of any of the games. There are no subtractions or lateral moves, everything in the MELE is an upgrade.

    It's a great story which evolves over three games and several story DLC, and now you can't use the excuse of dated visuals or gameplay to not check it out. Not sure what else to say, really. Everyone should play through Mass Effect, and this is the way to do it in 2021.    … Expand

    Some things about Legendary Edition disappointed or irritated me (no support for the mods, no option to import save files or characters from the original games, no multiplayer in ME3, Denuvo, some bugs and glitches) but as an avid fan who played through the trilogy many times, I enjoyed the remasters immensely.     Mass Effect Legendary Edition is not just a love letter to fans, but also a great gift that BioWare is making to newcomers to the series. Although some of the issues present in the original games haven't been fixed, there are so many improvements to the first two Mass Effect titles that I'm willing to overlook the minor bugs. The entire trilogy sends players throughout this amazing sci-fi universe that feels alive and vibrant everywhere you look. Perhaps these games should have been remastered separately to get the attention they deserve, but having the entire trilogy in a single bundle that's perfectly playable nearly 15 years after the release of the first game is surely convenient.

    Beautiful, engaging and every bit as fun as it was nearly 15 years ago, Mass Effect Legendary Edition lives up to the name. It's a gorgeous, robust title that will make veterans remember how much they enjoyed the series while giving newcomers a memorable ride for the first time. There's no question you should pick this up if you fall into either category because Commander Shepard deserves that much attention.
