    You just feel like this game was made with a soul, unlike the Avengers of the usual soulless garbage.

    Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy is a refreshing break from the torrent of micro-transaction laden "games as service" games out there. It's a linear single player experience with excellent visuals, a great story and is only let down by the combat mechanics which get fairly boring after a while.

    10/10 - Presentation, the game looks absolutely stunning with RTX enabled and I generally see    Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy is a refreshing break from the torrent of micro-transaction laden "games as service" games out there.     This Game is much better than Avengers. GOTG is a singelplayer game like Spider-Man or Uncharted. The Combat is satisfied, characters are great and the humor is AMAZING. Especially the Humor, without that it would be a 5/10. The conversations between the Guardians is the best side of the game. The biggest problem are the fights with normal enemies.     This game is way better than everyone had expected including me. It had an amazing long well-written story. Multiple dialogues the characters had without repeating to each other. Also has a story that is fun and adventurous with lots of exploring to do for multiple suits for each character and currency you can find in hidden places for combat upgrades. It is supposed to feel like you are in the Guardians of The Galaxy movie and comic which did very well. Everything had really amazing detail if you looked slowly. It is way better than most games. The game artists team deserves more praise for the amazing 3D art and worlds they had created.

    The combat is really great and tactical. It has a way different feel than the Crystal Dynamics Avengers which is the most compared game to. You control Peter Quill which is the leader of the Guardians and command your Guardians to do what you want in combat or in situations when you need. The combat is smooth and plays well from my experience on the PS5 performance mode. There were a vast amount of amazing soundtrack that the game had. It had a vibe that felt similar to the Guardians of The Galaxy MCU films. It shows the connection whereas Peter Quill is in love with his music. Overall, this game is a surprise due to the hate it had received before the game came out. It was way better than I had expected and it is an experience that need to be seen in person rather than on videos. It's definetly one of the best marvel games next to insomniac Spider-Man games. Eidos Montreal seemed to worked hard and did a really great job with this game and hopefully they can continue with more in the future.    … Expand

    Developers have probably spent all their budget on recording that many witty dialogues, but the battle system is still fine. There also were some pretty nice narrative moments I haven't seen in any other games. Overall it's a good buy and I'm looking forward for the sequel.

    Despite some bugs and repetitive gameplay, Guardians of the Galaxy is a really enjoyable adventure with cool characters, an interesting story, and innovative combat mechanisms. it is definitely of the best releases of the year.

    Surprisingly fantastic. I actually didn't expect much, but ended up being one of the biggest surprises of any games I have ever played. Good story, good game play, good acting, humor, long for this type of game, and just fun. I would have given it a 10, but had some crashes, and bugs where I had to reload a checkpoint in order to continue on. However, this is definitely one of the games toSurprisingly fantastic.     Of the minuses, only bugs. Sometimes you had to reload the checkpoint due to the fact that your partner was stuck and he was not sent, in battle he was not, it was not possible to use his abilities.

    And so an excellent game, awesome music, a worthy plot.

    After Marvels Avegers I expected another disaster, but in the end I was very positively disappointed :) Great atmosphere, chemistry between the Guardians, great dialogues and probably the first dubbing I liked after The Witcher 3. A heavy dose of humor, a sense of purpose, a script that James Gunn would not be ashamed of. Great adventure! Did I mention great music? :)

    Great single-player game with only a few annoying issues. Dialogue during fights gets repeated way too often. Dialogue while not fighting gets skipped often by you accidentally triggering the next line, I guess they wanted you to just stand around and listen if you cared about what was being said.     The combat dragged at times, especially with bullet sponges and waves. But the story was great and the visuals top notch.

    Both funny and surprisingly powerful story driven game. Something we see usually only in the indie market. While the core combat is pretty weak, there is a flow to it and most puzzles are interesting enough to keep you engaged.

    The real star here is the story and the TEAM itself. The constant banter between the members never fails to be fun and funny.     The graphics too are really great - lots of color - lots of locales - and the textures all just pop really well. Its not "realistic" but that is to be expected in a sci-fi space adventure.

    As for the bugs that most other reviews are noting - I ran into zero crashes and only a few minor camera and sound bugs that never kept me from playing - simply a temporary annoyance.    … Expand

    I didn't like the predecessor Marvel's Avengers. So, I didn't put any effort into finding out how this game is. Lately found its way to MS GamePass and I thought: Give it a try. What should I say ? What a BLAST !!! This Game is literally a playable movie. so many details. Such a gorgeous music. What a lovely story. What....OK I see you got it. If you like (or can live with) the style howI didn't like the predecessor Marvel's Avengers. So, I didn't put any effort into finding out how this game is.     Great plot, amazing characters, various beautiful locations. Minus one - gameplay for an amateur. But in the present dominance of looter shooters, grind and online, this game is like a breath of fresh air and therefore it is simply impossible to scold it.

    Just an amazing single player adventure. We don't get those too often.
    Surprisedly, it satisfies the Mass Effect itch.
    Oh, and of course, hands down, it has the best soundtrack (talking not only about licenced tracks).

    Game was pretty solid. Great characters, good story, fun interactions between the cast. However, combat could get quite difficult even on easy mode, the flight mechanism was completely unnecessary - should have been cutscenes (with dialogue choices if needed) instead, and Rocket was insufferable for the first half of the game (he does get better). It´s incredible well written story really fits the template of the comics, including characters, atmosphere and humor - all served without any microtransactions! Yet, there´s a little too much idle in many moments of the gameplay toAfter the disappointing performance of Marvel´s The Avengers, "Marvel´s Guardians of the Galaxy" feels like an excuse which is almost impossible not to accept. It´s incredible well written story really fits the template of the comics, including characters, atmosphere and humor - all served without any microtransactions!     Best game of 2021 for those who love 'old-school' adventure/narrative type of games like me.
    The characters are very well written: light, positive, fun, like the story that has a lot of twists.
    Fans of the 80s will feel nostalgic playing as a young Peter (fan of Hair Metal, on earth in the 80s. Besides that this game is full of hits from the 80s. Big respect for Eidos Montreal for using    Best game of 2021 for those who love 'old-school' adventure/narrative type of games like me.

I wasn't very interested in it and knowing it was from the same company that made the disappointing game Marvel's Avengers, I didn't have much hope.     Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy was under my radar for the whole time. I wasn't very interested in it and knowing it was from the same company that made the disappointing game Marvel's Avengers, I didn't have much hope. But to my surprise I found myself invested in the story, the world and especially the characters. Along with some solid gameplay and a kickass soundtrack. My previous worries quickly faded. This game offers a surprising amount of heart and some humor that was actually pretty funny. I loved the different conversations I'd listen to from all of the characters. There are 3 things that I didn't like. First off, I did experience a couple of bugs on the PS5 version and I would have to load a previous save and or checkpoint. Another complaint was that you couldn't control the other heroes and it was kind of a missed opportunity. And sometimes the camera would be placed in very bad places during conversations with characters. Other than those issues this game exceeded my expectations and is one of the best games of the year and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of The Guardians of The Galaxy and is a fan of the other marvel games such as Spiderman. Overall a 9/10.    … Expand

    Muy divertido. El doblaje y el guion son sencillamente sobresalientes, te meten muchisimo en la aventura. Se puede hacer algo repetitivo pero las batallas destacan en diversion y espectacularidad. La musica es genial, siendo epica cuando lo necesita. El carisma de los personajes es muy superior a los de las peliculas. Está casi mejor hecho que las peliculas. Me he encontrado algun que otroMuy divertido. El doblaje y el guion son sencillamente sobresalientes, te meten muchisimo en la aventura. Se puede hacer algo repetitivo pero las batallas destacan en diversion y espectacularidad. La musica es genial, siendo epica cuando lo necesita. El carisma de los personajes es muy superior a los de las peliculas. Está casi mejor hecho que las peliculas.     Guardians of Galaxy makes you laugh out loud, and that’s a rare feat. The story and production are so good that they offset its flawed gameplay, especially combat.

    Peter’s flashbacks deserve a special mention. Eidos Montreal went all-out on them, so instead of a cutscene, we get to explore a lovingly detailed place from Star-Lord’s past. [Issue#257, p.48]

    Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy on PC performs very well. It is the best version on a purely aesthetic level. The work done by Eidos to recreate the galaxy, the planets and its protagonists is incredible.
