    Imagine watching this movie for 15 hours. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy makes a great impression at first, but as you pass time, it makes you feel like it's a monotonous game.

    Guardians of the Galaxy mostly nails the quirky tone and characters that Marvel fans will be hoping for. Otherwise strong presentation is marred by a few too many visual glitches, but if you can tolerate these and some repetitive combat, it's worth a look.

    Simply put, Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy is a really good time. Not only that, but its linear story-telling and fast, nippy pacing feels intensely refreshing after the bloat of, say, Far Cry 6 and the sometimes frustrating openness of Deathloop. As it funnels you down a story filled with japes and jabs, I'm transported back to a happier, simpler time. If you're a Marvel fan, this feels unmissable. And even if you haven't got a clue what a Marvel is, it still delivers a very enjoyable romp through the stars.

    You just feel like this game was made with a soul, unlike the Avengers of the usual soulless garbage.

    This is one of the best games of 2021. Or maybe the game of the year at all.

    -interesting and never-ending dialogues of characters,
    -stunning soundtrack,
    -fighting system.

    Minuses:
    -Optimization.
    The game is quite gluttonous with maximum settings and RTX enabled.
    Perhaps the game works great on the RTX 30xx.
    But on RTX 2070 at maximum settings and high RT, in FHD resolution, there were rarely drawdowns of up to 45 fps. Mostly FPS was around 60+

It's a linear single player experience with excellent visuals, a great story and is only let down by the combat mechanics which get fairly boring after a while.

    10/10 - Presentation, the game looks absolutely stunning with RTX enabled and I generally see RTX as a gimmick.

    10/10 - Story, this is what will keep you hooked and playing, tonnes of locations, characters and decent dialogue

    6/10 - Combat/Gameplay, I hope there will be a sequel to this game with more Arkham/Spiderman style combat, it has some nice features like calling in your team to help but beyond that there's not much to do but hold the trigger down.    … Full Review »
