Another dissapointment and money wasted on a game that I lose interest in due to the fact that I cant play the game on my PC like a PC game, because I cant use the mouse like I've been using it since. I use the Mouse Please!

Good game but also some flaws: the controls in the PC version are difficult to use. No custom tags.

While I found the over all theme interesting and some of the game fun. It's obviously a console game with a poor conversion to PC. You can't remap any controls, (Sorry left handers) without editing a cfg file. The camera will "lock" in certain areas and "jiggle" if you try and move it, making painting in some areas very difficult. Something that should be able to be reached result in Trane doing a slow mo "I can't jump that high" sort of thing. I did like the soundtrack, though after exiting and restarting, the same track plays, so you get sick of certain songs quick. Also, while I though some of the Grafitti in the black book was neat, you can't create your own and also, they reset if you leave the game and at the start of new missions. So if you enjoy picking out your favorite 30 stickers, stensils and throw-ups before EVERY mission, you're going to be at home. (Which results in you using the defaults more ofthen than not) Overall the thing I enjoyed most was the background on some of the real taggers and also trying to get way up high to some of the spots to tag. But if I had to go back, I'd rent it. Expand

Very disappointing. Jet Set Radio Future was much better!

I loved this game as a child. The sound track is amazing and matches the atmosphere so well. The story does get a little over the top, but the character and game play are what made this game special to me. I really hope this game release onto steam is them rebooting the series.

Interesting gameplay. I've played this game many years ago. But it's still looking interesting for me.

1. Luckily, the smooth controls guarantee that all you'll have to worry about is dribbling paint and bumbling cops.

By enlisting graffiti legends such as Futura and Shepard Fairey and hip-hop artists like P. Diddy and Talib Kweli, Getting Up presents itself as an immersive experience for those new to graffiti culture. This is where Getting Up shines: It is a game that can provide what no other game has before (no, we won't compare it to "Jet Set Radio").
  3. The end result is an interesting and often-exciting adventure that should be appealing to most action-game fans, but will probably hold extra appeal if you're at all interested in graffiti and the culture surrounding it.
