To say that the Lead Blocking Control completely revolutionizes Madden is the understatement of the year.
-
It isn’t revolutionary, but the game still delivers a mean game of football.
-
This is quite probably the only hardcore PC football game you're going to see this year, and it's a very good one.
-
PC GamerThough visually attractive, it's still hampered by graphical glitches that have plagued the series over the last several years. My biggest gripe, though, is that this year's edition still doesn't get the number of penalaties correct. [Dec. 2006, p.120]
-
In the end, Madden NFL 07 is an improvement on the series. With some new running features and an Xbox 360 version worth the price of admission, it seems EA is trying to prove that they still care about improving their game, even without competition.
-
Considering that many of the gameplay features are extremely mild remixes of previously included gameplay options, this year’s Madden comes across as a solid title, but one that’s starting to show its age.
-
Despite the fact that Madden still has its warts and its share of oddball design decisions, this is the best version of Madden in years -- and the PC showcases it more than any other platform.
-
It's a shame it has taken EA so long to finally give the PC gamers something to be excited over, but hopefully 07 is a sign EA are becoming a little more serious about their PC audience.
-
There are some suspect AI moves but this game perseveres and should hand PC gridiron gamers challenge and entertainment.
-
BoomtownIf you don't own Madden and you're keen to get into the NFL games then this is the one to get.
-
PC FormatA brilliant introduction if you haven't played before. [Dec 2006, p.108]
-
Certainly, the updates it does include make it a richer game of football than Madden NFL 06, but it's hard not to look at the game on PC as something of an afterthought in the grand scheme of Madden's release calendar.
-
Simply put, it’s everything you expect--another year of football with another year of Madden.
-
PC Zone UKThis update isn't monumental. It's merely the bacon topping on an already bulging turducken. That's turkey, duck and chicken. [Dec 2006, p.99]
-
Computer Games MagazineStill, it's hard to escape the mild letdown of discovering, yet again, that this year's Madden is a lot like last year's Madden. [Nov. 2006, p.79]
