The ability to switch to a blocker is not originality. This is Roster Update 2007. It would even have been tolerable if the PC version had gotten the textures, shaders, and high dynamic range lighting that the Xbox360 got, but no. Same as last years'.

Easily the best NFL game around, oh wait... With no competition what we have here is a shiny Madden 06. The superstar mode is slightly improved but so feels more like an expansion pack. Not worth buying if you've got 06.

Sick gameplay, deepest franchise mode ever, and great superstar mode that allows you to play in 1st person! I don't like it when you get penalized for the team's fault, but it's got great ideas. Plus John Madden actually has some insightful comments. Superstar mode + vision code + good gameplay and franchise mode = This game's da bomb. So stop hating!

On Pc we've had the same relic of a graphics engine for like the last 4 Madden's. The consoles got a new engine, but not us. I'll buy next year when they plan to upgrade the PC engine... When you think about it, any sports title like football or basketball should be the most phenomenal looking thing ever. This is considering the graphics you post every year are essentially of the same exact type. It's finite. The field is a hundred's yards long. The stadium has x number of seats... Atrocious. Curse EA and there cheapness. Especially considering how many copies they sold in the first week. Im sure it paid for the whole liscensing deal and development right there... Disgusting. Expand

Terrible. EA needs to give up already. Whats the point of buying Madden 07 for pc, when regardless of how powerful your graphics card may be, the game still looks like a PS2 game. If you want to waste your money, go ahead and buy Madden 07 for PC. My advice... save the $50 and instead, save up for a Xbox 360, which is the only system which Madden 07 seems to have been created for. Thanks Terrible. EA needs to give up already. Considering that many of the gameplay features are extremely mild remixes of previously included gameplay options, this year’s Madden comes across as a solid title, but one that’s starting to show its age.
  2. To say that the Lead Blocking Control completely revolutionizes Madden is the understatement of the year.
  3. Certainly, the updates it does include make it a richer game of football than Madden NFL 06, but it's hard not to look at the game on PC as something of an afterthought in the grand scheme of Madden's release calendar.
