Aug 23, 2023Very annoying title, the combat is plain and repetitive and the history and characters are inconsequential. Also, the lack of mouth movement during scenes ruins the immersion.

Jan 3, 2023Despite its shortcomings, I ended up liking Lost Eidolons. It’s an indie title that aspires to be a big budget epic, whose worst qualities are more than compensated for by a strong story and inventive — sometimes brilliant — gameplay mechanics. As the old saying goes: don’t judge a game by its characters’ lifeless, blank stares.

Dec 10, 2022Lost Eidolons provides an unexpectedly interesting storyline, which remains engrossing until the end. Some wrinkles appear in both the audio and visual presentation, but these does not deter much from the core of the experience, which is none other than the gameplay.

Nov 14, 2022Lost Eidolons shows a lot of promise, especially as a debut title. Its combat ensures that tactical aficionados will get plenty of enjoyment from both the challenge and depth available to them, while Ocean Drive Studio has also ensured that there’s enough to get the more casual fans on board as well. While the game’s story ends up fizzling out a bit, there’s plenty to look forward to should the studio elect to return to Artemesia in future.
