The game is very long, the plot at the end is not interesting, the gameplay itself is also monotonous and boring, in the final battle I constantly got softlocks and the main boss is too pumped even on the minimum difficulty. I advise you to play if you are a fan of this genre

Unoriginal disaster. Battles are all nearly identical: bash gates and 2 shot all human enemies with nearly identical white male allies. Woo, what fun.

Then out of combat, you have to do an hour of tedious fetch quests and listening to everyone babble on about nothing if you want to unlock extra characters and get stuff.

Despite its shortcomings, I ended up liking Lost Eidolons. It’s an indie title that aspires to be a big budget epic, whose worst qualities are more than compensated for by a strong story and inventive — sometimes brilliant — gameplay mechanics. As the old saying goes: don’t judge a game by its characters’ lifeless, blank stares.

Lost Eidolons provides an unexpectedly interesting storyline, which remains engrossing until the end. Some wrinkles appear in both the audio and visual presentation, but these does not deter much from the core of the experience, which is none other than the gameplay.

Lost Eidolons shows a lot of promise, especially as a debut title. Its combat ensures that tactical aficionados will get plenty of enjoyment from both the challenge and depth available to them, while Ocean Drive Studio has also ensured that there’s enough to get the more casual fans on board as well. While the game’s story ends up fizzling out a bit, there’s plenty to look forward to should the studio elect to return to Artemesia in future.
