    The very worst offense of it all is that normally, when a game is bad, I would have to suffer through it once and get to move on. In the case of Loop8, it forced me to experience the same exact terrible content over and over again by its very design, breeding a sense of resentment towards a game I haven’t felt in a very long time.

The game presents a unique blend of gameplay styles and ideas, set in a beautifully recreated rural Japanese town in the 1980s. However, the repetitive nature of the gameplay and the lack of variety in dialogue make the overall experience quite tedious.

    One of the standout aspects of Loop8 is its visual presentation. The game features picturesque landscapes that successfully capture the nostalgic atmosphere of a Japanese town. The attention to detail is commendable, although there are some noticeable omissions, such as the absence of certain sounds like birdsong and waves crashing.     Unfortunately, the gameplay loop quickly becomes monotonous. The battles lack depth and variety, with only bosses offering any real challenge.     The time loop mechanic, which should have been a fascinating aspect of the game, only adds to the sense of monotony. Each loop resets not only progress but also relationships and character values, with only minor permanent upgrades available. This results in repetitive gameplay, replaying the same events and interactions over and over again.

    Despite its flaws, Loop8 does have its strengths. The art style and attention to detail in capturing the essence of a Japanese village in summer are commendable. The emotional-driven AI system that responds to player actions and decisions is an interesting feature that adds replay value, ensuring each playthrough feels unique.
