Lenna is an interesting Zelda clone. The story is fun and twisted. The game is very stable and on the easy side. I didn't really like how the final puzzle was constructed at the Palace. I though it brought a lot of confusion. And the final boss was more annoying then anything. There are many small secrets to be found. I give it 77%. Nice game but weak ending.

Gameplay: The combat is decent, with many combat items (most optional) and many weapons and shields with different effects. The overworld is good, this is part of the game that is randomly generated and felt different across runs. The dungeons are simplistic, but the bosses are excellent. Bosses are tied to dungeons but dungeons 2-7 are in a random order, meaning you unlock progress itemsGameplay: The combat is decent, with many combat items (most optional) and many weapons and shields with different effects. Bosses are tied to dungeons but dungeons 2-7 are in a random order, meaning you unlock progress items in a different order, making the game replayable. The dungeon puzzles are very simple. I played through normally in around 8 hours, then again for an alternative ending with the knowledge I gained from the first run in around 6, once in 32 bit and once in 8 bit, both were fun.

Music - Some jams in there, I prefer the 32 bit soundtrack over the 8 bit though.

Story - Weird but not terrible, some mechanics bought in via the story as very interesting. Did not care for some of the optional stuff, but that was my taste.

Lenna’s Inception is a good choice for those that are fans of Zelda and enjoy satirical, wacky games.

Lenna's Inception is a lighthearted Zelda-style adventure fuelled by levity and a taste for the bizarre. At its heart, though, it's a testament to the powers of procedural generation. On balance it gains more than it loses, delivering an endlessly rearrangeable, replayable quest that suffers only slightly from the lack of a guiding human touch.
