Mar 1, 2023Well, the game can definitely be frustrating, but like in the old days quick save and doors are your best friend :) Party customization is never too complicated (like in some modern RPGs imo) but pretty straightforward. In the end I had a good time exploring the dungeon, solving puzzles and gear up my party.

Legend of Grimrock is a great dungeon crawler. The genre is clearly not for everyone, even some RPG-fans might not like it because it has no actual roleplay, story or characters. -

Jun 14, 2015Really boring game after playing newer RPGs like The Witcher, Mass Effect, Fallout, Skyrim, Dragon Age, and Shadowrun. I thought I would like it because I used to like Might and Magic, but it was just so boring and the gameplay style has been left behind.
AND OH MY GOD THE SPELL/MAGIC SYSTEM IS ATROCIOUS. That alone would make me never play the game again. -

Jan 19, 2015The Legend of Grimrock is truly a dungeon crawling classic with little flaws. It’s that it brings back the enigmatic yet intriguing tone of adventure that hasn’t been seen for at least five years which in return makes it stand out from other dungeon crawlers.

Nov 1, 2014Very good game, done everything there was to do, got all achievements, and still liked the game.
This game gives you the old school feeling, including the toughness needed to beat the game, lol
Lost 1 point due to the horrible battle system, there is this "cool down" system that makes you move around like a retard to avoid being hit while waiting for your attack to recharge. -

Jun 16, 2014I really, really, really wanted to like this game. It was the first time I played a game like this since Lands of Lore. I don't know what I didn't like but by level 9 I was just not having any fun. And when a game isn't fun I stop playing. But for what kind of game this is, it's a 10.

Mar 18, 2014This is kind of like visiting the old Eye of the Beholder games which I thought wouldn't work because of the static feel of the playing style. However, I was wrong. It's still fun, great fun. The game itself has a few flaws and the ending is fairly weak and abrupt but overall, this is nostalgia when it works!

Jan 29, 2014Имхо, лучшая игра олд-скул жанра. Идеальный баланс сложных квестов, прокачки персонажей и боёв с монстрами

Dec 11, 2013I have never been interested in dungeon games but Grimrock persuaded me that there is at least one true adventure which takes place within the four walls and infects everyone with claustrophobia. So many puzzles, breath-hold moments and atmosperic stuff that it is impossible to forget this journey.

Dec 2, 2013Maybe the best game i played in the last 3 years. It's old schooled eye of the beholder-like. I want the android version, please.
I'm seriously waiting for the second part. And I want some healing spells. -
Dec 2, 2013This is a highly enjoyable role playing experience, as it's hard to find a similar one. The ability (or rather restriction) of moving from tile-to-tile rather than free roaming requires tactical decisions. The game manages to entertain you and it looks good while doing it.

Sep 30, 2013Great game, I really love games that are exactly what they say they are. Fun game and such and such, if your in the mood for a nice little classic RPG then here ya go, It'll fill that little empty spot in you better than any male pornstar
