Similar to hotline Miami but not as fun. The art style is unique and compelling, and is what drew me to purchase the game in the first place. There isn't really any story to keep the player engaged to a very difficult game. The cutscenes are strange, there is a white middle aged balding cop that has this black man's voice with a 1970s dialect and I can't tell if its a technical issue orSimilar to hotline Miami but not as fun. There are only 8 levels with side quests, which isn't enough gameplay hours to justify the cost of 14.99. Expand

The perfect collection of police cliches that entertains with its exaggeration and with grace admitting its sources of inspiration. Unfortunately, it is only a nice cover the core is missing. Despite its potential, the game offers just an average action entertainment, entertainment that vanishes with repeatable use of the same mechanics.

LA Cops is a gorgeous piece of art design which, by all rights, should have served as the foundation for a classic indie shooter. The utter failure of its gameplay to deliver on that potential frustrates to no end. This is clearly a game with a lot of talent behind it, but I have no idea how they botched things so badly.

L.A. Cops is a sloppy game. The controls lack finesse in almost all areas, and the shooting is randomized enough to feel unsatisfying.
