    I would love to rate this game higher, but there's a small number of very big flaws marring it.
    The first is simply the writing - not only is it awkward to the point sometimes of embarrassment, the tone the dev was clearly aiming for in it could not fit the tone of the game any less.
    Secondly, there's the graphics - again we have a jarring mis-match of tone and feel between the gorgeous,    I would love to rate this game higher, but there's a small number of very big flaws marring it.

    On the other hand, if you can look past those two criticisms, this is a beautiful, atmospheric game with excellent controls, intriguing mechanics and immersive, sprawling metroidvania level design.    … Expand

    the game kind of lacks a structure and it looks like a thesis about level design. Individually the elements are correct, but the lack of structure and compeling story makes it boring after a while.

    The game is ok and totally worth buying and playing BUT as a fan of the original Knytt and following Knytt stories I was actually a bit disappointed. The former two games had a unique style and atmosphere and while Knytt Underground is nicely made game it looks like maybe other 10 games I've got in my library. Also, why hasn't it been ported to switch yet? Still a wonderful platformer though!
