While it might not be the most complex role-playing game available, it's a worthwhile and entertaining purchase for players eager to set out on a casual fantasy adventure.

Knights of Pen & Paper 2 simulates the imperfect, but undeniably fun experience of a tabletop RPG. It's a game that pokes fun of entertainment culture and RPG stereotypes as a whole, bundled into an engaging 16-bit retro experience.

Knights of Pen and Paper 2 will certainly appeal to those who liked the original and are looking for another trek through its trope driven world that packs some interesting surprises and a new set of characters and abilities for the combat scenarios.

It has a smart gameplay, even if the porting from the mobile version was clearly rushed.

This game is somewhat shallow in fights, but it does give that Dungeons & Dragons feel that we love. This offers a unique behind-the-scenes into the biggest analog role playing game in the world.

While the game isn’t without flaws in terms of the level of recycling from the previous game, it still passes its charisma check without much effort.

I wish I liked Knights of Pen and Paper 2 a lot more than I did. It has a lot of charm and heart — I can see it in the gorgeous pixel art and in all the neat jokes and references built into Paperos. But it just isn’t very fun to play.

The repetition inherent in the gameplay means that existing fans will merely be burned out by the story’s end, and the unnecessary subtractive design makes the first game a better starting point for newcomers.

Apart from the humour, which is the only positive thing about it, the rest is just the first game with a slightly different coating. If you liked the first part then go ahead and give KOPNP2 a try. But if you value your time and money, don't bother with this inexcusable mobile port.

Full Review »

В основном вы на первых уровнях создаете билд атак героев, который не меняется до конца игры, что наскучивает. Full Review »

Its downright frustrating to make little gold (because they keep nerfing it), constantly dying to unfair mechanics purposefully designed to make you pay money in order survive, sometimes just to even pay for the resurrection costs when you die to the games evil mechanics....such as multiple traps...to soften you up (9/10 times you'll fail the rolls) then when you're characters are pretty much dead..they'll throw monsters at you with high initiative making them go first just to finish off your characters - this happens all too often.

In a nutshell, this game "USED" to be great - but until KYY sold out to Paradox - this game has become an absolute travesty and besmirches the good name of Knights of Pen and Paper, for shame!! for Shame!! This game is now barely playable, exceptionally grindy and has a terrible and blatant and shameless P2W system in place.
