Aug 14, 2023Underrated gem, I really wished this game have had more success. Great action combat (as great as non-soulslikes goes) and a cliche but good plot. Loved it back in the day!

Mar 20, 2023This game is a lot like Fable, even the music sounds the same, it just hasnt any of the little things that made Fable so unique back then.
When i first played this in 2012 i ran into a game breaking bug and gave up. It never was a marvel but the graphics still hold up well, just do yourself a favor and turn off the awful post processing. -

Sep 12, 2020Buy this over the remaster. Use ENB if you really want the improved shadows.

Jul 27, 2020Extremely underrated RPG. It had a rocky disastrous development fore sure, but it's a lot of fun nevertheless, you should check it out.

Apr 4, 2020It is strange how such a seemingly simple game can create an atmosphere of a fairy tale and adventure.

Aug 31, 2019One of the best RPG games i have ever played, hands down !
+Lots of quests
+The story
+The various characters
+A great combat system, which i hope more games would use, instead of just clicking on an NPC and pressing buttons
+Classes
+Great big open world
+Level design
+Weapon enchantment
And much more... -
Oct 30, 2018The only problem I had with this game was that you could not jump. I did not understand why this game received such low marks. I thought it was great. If you liked Fable 1, or games like this, I would definitely suggest this one.

Jul 31, 2018I was expecting something else looking at title and cover, but I was pleasantly surprised. I like dark hard games, however even though it's easy and bright (atmosphere) game it's quite pleasant. Nothing amazing, but still really well done. The combat is great when you learn how to combo normal hits with your abilities so you get a chain of attacks that obliterates everything on your path.

Jun 19, 2017I know you want play a cool RPG game. But this one, should be good in 2012 not in 2k17. Go better play some Dragon Age or Witcher, planty of any other RPG. This on is WoW like graphics. Really large world. HUGE! Lot a side-quests, thats make u run 5 times same spot. Go find something another. Really dude

Dec 11, 2016I simply loved this game in a way i cannot explain. Don't know exactly what got me, but i had really fun with this, i remember avoiding playing it afraid of finishing it too fast.

Dec 2, 2016Feels like single player wow with different mechanic and RPG elements, that is all. Story is ok but kind of "cliche". Game is too easy on hardest difficulty so it does not provide enough satisfaction.

Apr 5, 2012Fast and flashy combat in a shallow fantasy world. For the solo MMO player only. [Apr 2012, p.62]
-
Mar 27, 2012For all the things that don't work well, the exciting combat and deep world make KAR a very worthy game to play. It's a shame Electronic Arts is doing such a poor job of promoting it, as there is enough here to make the foundation of a very solid franchise.

Mar 21, 2012Great combat and mountains of loot can't compensate for Amalur's generic world design and familiar story. [May 2012, p.72]
