    As some have stated, this is a love it or hate it game. The idea of comparing killing floor with L4D is absurd, the only similarity in game play is that there is a truck-load of zombies to kill. Myself? I'd recommend killing floor to everyone and anyone.

And of course im going to compare it to L4D, L4D has great graphics, great sound, but it only has 4 characters and is extremely linear. Whereas Killing Floor as about 10 or so characters, it has several levels that are not linear, both made by the This game was simply amazing, i have spent hours playing it, why? L4D only has about 8 weapons total, Killing Floor has so many weapons, but im to lazy to name them all, hah.     Killing Floor offers alot of fun and excitment for a $19.99 price! While it doesn't have many maps now, I'm hoping it will expand soon. The graphics are up to date and the game play is simple run-and-gun, which I don't mind. The Solo (Single Player) offers hours and I do mean hours of fun, terror and at times agravation. The perks and upgrades are a lovely add to the game, Killing Floor offers alot of fun and excitment for a $19.99 price! While it doesn't have many maps now, I'm hoping it will expand soon.     I believe this game is a cross between Doom 3 and Left 4 Dead. It has aspects of both, is fun, and is remarkably entertaining. I believe it poses a good challenge, and is very fun online.

    One fun game. Lots of action and tons of good old zombie killing pleasure. Tough for sure, but that's the way I like it!

    Its pretty nice game. One of the first things you'll notice about it is that there is variety. You can choose Perks (Like Field Medic, or Sharpshooter) , and you have a nice selection of enemies to face. The graphics are really good, compared to certain other games. Some people would say its not as good as L4D, but in my opinion I like this a bit better. The price might seem a bit Its pretty nice game.     I have to say an AWESOME game, it is easy as well as hard you can solo it but it would take time and the first round is easy where as the rest are hard, one of the best games i have played. If i had to chose out of KF and L4D; KF is a mile ahead, it is true it is hard to compare them but the fact is what one scares u more what one do you spend your time on and what one do u enjoy to play.

    I played this game since it came out as a mod for UT2k4 and I have gotta say it vastly improved from the mod version, it really feels like a full blown game now.     About 20x better than Left 4 Dead! This game is the best co-op experience i ever had. I could play this game for hours and never get tired of it. Their is a single-player by the way and its crazy fun! It also has some very good features. Like the slow motion, trading, and giving money away! I LOVE THIS GAME!

    Just played this game on a friend's system. I could not get enough. After reading the reviews, I can't understand why the users love this game and the critics are less warm. This game rocks. Since you have to play it to understand why this game is so good, I must assume the critics have about 30 seconds invested before casting their ballots.     Not only is the game fun, it's also going to be supported by Tripwire Interactive for quite a while, if they hold up on their plans. Also, the gaming community has produced quite a few great maps already. If they keep up at this rate, we'll have a nearly unlimited amount of *fun* to glean from this great title. It's not very polished now, but if Tripwire holds up it'll Not only is the game fun, it's also going to be supported by Tripwire Interactive for quite a while, if they hold up on their plans. Also, the gaming community has produced quite a few great maps already. If they keep up at this rate, we'll have a nearly unlimited amount of *fun* to glean from this great title. It's not very polished now, but if Tripwire holds up it'll be much more polished than many other retail games. Either way, it's totally worth the $20 right now.… Expand

    I found this game to be a breath of fresh air on the whole common "Zombie shooter" genre. It's ingenuious design allows many hours of gameplay, and unlike Left 4 dead, you'll rarely get bored of repeation, due to 16 different weapons, 9 different enemies, 5 different maps, and tons of Downloadable Content, as well as user made maps, you can deafeat zombies completley alone and I found this game to be a breath of fresh air on the whole common "Zombie shooter" genre.     Killing floor is one of the best games I've purchased in a long time. If you liked L4D you'll love killing floor. I recently bought this game and have play the shit out of it. This game doesn't have you running check point to check point but instead has you fighting off waves of zombies. The only things I've found bad about killing floor is its stupid phrases the characters, and trader says. The trade says the most retared things I've ever heard ,literally she sounds like she has down syndrome when she talks. The game could have been better. Needed more content when it first came out. The same 5 lvls gets old after awhile and characters are very limited and could have had more work done on them. They have released the outbreak character pack which gives you four new characters to play as for $2. Yeah i know its BS that they are making people pay for new for content let alone characters. Its a mod the DLC should come free. But they have recently announced the FREE DLC heavy metal. It will include a whole new map, new weapons such as the katana and the ak-47! They're also saying there's a lot more free DLC to come. Differently from most survival games there are perks in the game such as beserk, sharp shooter, medic, support specialist, and commando. All have equally beneficial advantage to them. You can also get ZEDtime which you get from killing a good amount of infected. Zedtime slows down time, very useful when you have a clot on you and surrounded by infected. Killing floor has a decent amount of weapons ranging from melee, to dual wielding and the usual shotguns, machine guns, and sniper rifle. This game definitely has a lot more weapons then L4D which was one of the biggest let downs. After playing killing floor I've learned this game isnt for anyone. If your one of the people who is impatient and goes off on your own cause you think your a bad ass this isn't your game. This game is team based meaning having to work together, without team work you'll end up like poster 1. So if your looking for a game that's fast past, challenging,co op, and different from most survival horror games then killing floor is the game for you. I really suggest buying this game its only $20 and release DLC often. So if you love gory zombie games this is a must buy then and even if you don't its definitely worth trying out.… Expand

Way better than left 4 dead (A game which stole many ideas from half-life 2 mods and then sucked as well) The only negative thing i would have to say that's wrong with Killing Floor would be when the store owner pops up repeatedly to tell you come get your guns boys or something similar! Overall kick-butt game!! P.S. Dead Rising is The best zombie-co-op game I've played yet!!     Ever since I've got this game on release date, I have always played it here and then, it's probably one of the only games I play now a days because it's simply FUN! If you're a fan of zombie coop survival like me, this is a must have game. Especially with a price of 20 bucks (18 bucks right now with the august deal/heavy metal pack). L4D was so bland because it was linear, but KF is open space and every time I play it feels different because I can take different routes or camp in different locations etc. The perks are the best part too because it feels like a different experience when you use different perks, like a whole new game. The weapon selection and iron cross effects gives the game a whole different perspective to zombie shooters, gotta love it. Alas, the maps; there are so many of them being made from the community it's impossible to be able to play them all. There's so many other things about this game which makes me think why this doesnt have an 80+ metascore review, bunch a wanker reviewers always expecting way too much especially from an indie game that was retailed from a mod. For 20 bucks, you'll get way more out of it.… Expand

    the game is enjoyable, patching and support is dedicated ( 2 new weapons and a map just came out for free). new play modes are also on the way from TWI, all in all any other company would have made you pay 49.99$ for the original game, then made every addition on to that DLC and an extra 4.99 (*cough* FC2! *cough*).

    Falar a verdade esse jogo e o melhor jogabilidade boa muito real sem contar que vc sempre terá uma pessoa pra te ajudar pq todos os jogadores são 10 recomendo e muito bom. No começo vc se complicam pouco por estar em inglês mais com tempo vc começa a pegar o jeito do negocio realmente 10 perfeito recomendo ele e left 4 dead muito bom!!

Up to as much players as you want in the newer versions. There is also buying weapons that U do not get in L4D. The maps are not parallel like L4D, and more freeing.     This game was in progress before Left 4 Dead, I am stating this, as it has Special infected like 'The Boomer','The Hunter' and they also have the screamer... Although Left 4 Dead has the best graphics of the two, this game has the Great Gameplay and Strong Teamwork, and Sweet graphics.     I've played this game more than any other game I've ever bought. I've been playing it for 2 months and I'm still eager to get home tonight to keep playing. I acknowledge some of the criticisms but at the end of the day, it's so fun, engaging, team-building, challenging and rewarding that some of the criticized details just don't matter. I simply love it.

    I really enjoy playing killing floor. For $20 it's a great buy. Also, it has a very active community with great maps coming out all the time.
    Another selling point is that it runs very wel on older computers and looks extremely good. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good fragging game!

    This game is f***ing brilliant. I have no idea how it could be given a 70 on metagame score. Whereas Left 4 Dead magically gets a 89 for its horribly repetitive gameplay, lack of melee weapons, and "pretty" graphics. Finding a good group may be hard, but try finding any on L4D. Added bonus of great price $20, and FREE GAMEPLAY CHANGING DLCs (stick that in ur pipe and smoke it L4D2). 10/10

    If you like online co-op, then this game is one to buy. If you like story mode and can't enjoy the co-op until there is hopefully a campaign kind of mode, then don't buy it. It has alot of new stuff (characters, maps, guns) and alot of gameplay time. I play whenever I get a chance or get bored, and there are enough user made maps to enjoy when core maps get boring.

    Awesome game. Prefer it to Left4Dead. Fun and intense co-op gameplay. Lacks much content but for $20 (or less if on sale) it's just right.

    Killing Floor is a zombie game that lacks brain and own ideas. In the main part it's simply a Left 4 Dead clone with boring maps and graphics. But Killing Floor's emphasis on tactical gameplay, the solid coop mode and the cheap prize make the game worth a look.

    Tripwire Interactives Killing Floor is what you would expect of a polished mod, but doesn't exceed expectations as a retail game. It's good, but unfortunately far from perfect. A nice addition to the survival-horror genre though, and it has an attractively cheap price tag.

    While the single-player experience is pretty much non-existent and there are still a large number of bugs that have to be contended with, there's enough of a foundation here for players to enjoy. Hop online and kill monsters for Queen and Country.
