Fighting animations of the characters are beautiful. Character dubbings are successful. There are a lot of fighters we can choose. BUT Story and storytelling is very bad. Cutscenes are awful. Connection issues are frustrating. AS A RESULT, This game is not the anime crossover that I expected.

i dont know if its just me, but i see people saying that the roster is good, but i think its garbage. what good does it make, putting one or two characters from 30 different shows? you see seya and shiryu, and you want at least the other two, right? i was very surprised with fly and yugi, but you cant even make a team with other guys from their manga/anime. its way more frustrating thani dont know if its just me, but i see people saying that the roster is good, but i think its garbage. what good does it make, putting one or two characters from 30 different shows? you see seya and shiryu, and you want at least the other two, right? i was very surprised with fly and yugi, but you cant even make a team with other guys from their manga/anime. its way more frustrating than appealing, imo.
the fighting system and graphics are not the worst but neither are them really good. i dont know, i'm not really that fan of these japanese characters, but but i was expecting so much more from the game.
oh, and the ""story mode" is just terrible, my god is it terrible.

When I saw the trailer on E3, I was hooked. I love Naruto, Goku and Luffy but not this game. The fighting is fun... at first, the missions are repetitive. It feels like something's not right. Like a piece of the game is missing and might show up in some dlc or something. I'm not impressed Shonen. I feel like Dragon ball Xenoverse 1 and 2 were way more fun and interesting.

The history is poor, but the multiplayer is pretty decent especially if you are a big fan of Shonen Jump's series.
Don't buy it for the full price.

As most have said the story is very bland. Combat is pretty but lacks any depth or nuance. Only reason i can go a 5 on this is cause the character selection is a dream for anime fans.

Как файтинг неплохо, на пару раз сойдёт, а в целом проходняк.

Was a Xenoverse/NinjaStorm clone, with customization from Shonen Jump franchises. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great, but it is more sad that they have taken it down forever. So nobody will really know in the future. Hopefully they do a sequel, and won't have to argue over other licensing like Dai from Dragon Quest. It would be best to leave those type of things as DLC only and not apart ofWas a Xenoverse/NinjaStorm clone, with customization from Shonen Jump franchises. Jump Force, oh boy, what a letdown. As a fighting game featuring anime shounen characters, it had so much potential! The actual fighting mechanics are decent; I'm no expert in fighting games, but I found it quite enjoyable, and the animations are undeniably awesome. But alas, that's where the positives mostly end.

The actual fighting mechanics are decent; I'm no expert in fighting games, but I found it quite enjoyable, and the animations are undeniably awesome. But alas, that's where the positives mostly end.

The story, ugh, let's not even go there. It's downright garbage. The dialogues, also garbage. And those 1k grindy missions? You guessed it, garbage too. Not to mention the utter disappointment of lacking voice acting in 99% of the story; it feels like a major oversight.

Creating your protagonist should have been a highlight, a chance to immerse yourself in the world, but it falls flat and ends up feeling like a wasted opportunity. Plus, the fact that all three characters in a fight share the same health bar? Come on, it's another misstep that adds to the frustration.

And let's talk about the outfits. Clipping issues that remind you of free-to-play MMOs? Shameful. Absolutely shameful. The developers should have put in more effort to avoid these glaring issues.

To add to the list of grievances, there's that glorified wannabe-menu where your character runs like they're on ecstasy. Seriously, what were they thinking? It's just off-putting and makes you question the overall design choices.

Alright, in all fairness, if you're looking for some fun, throwing down with your favorite anime characters, then sure, I can recommend Jump Force for that alone. The fighting aspect has its moments. But beyond that, it's all mediocrity at best. The potential was there, but it fell short in almost every other aspect. It's a bitter pill to swallow for fans like me who expected so much more.

Jump Force is an interesting experiment, but for its handful of merits there is a ton of annoying shortcomings.

The combat is beautiful and flashy enough to make any fighting game or JRPG fan feel satisfied and while the graphics may seem a bit stiff, none of that matters during the fast-paced matches where you'll probably pay more attention to the ratio between your HP bar and your enemy's. Jump force allows players to finally answer those age-old questions, such as Who would win in a fight between Goku and Naruto Uzumaki?, which have been the subject of debates in forum discussions, memes or video commentaries, and that alone should be enough of a reason to make fans of the genre interested in the game.

While a fighting game featuring a wide variety of Weekly Shonen Jump characters seems like a no-brainer, the shoddy execution and surprisingly limited roster hinder JUMP FORCE from being the all-star it wants to be.
