3.Story ? There is no real story at all just press and restart new missions

4.They ban you for using mods even skin mods.

    5. You are extremely slow in the maps. You can fly nor anything else. The only way to get a little bit faster is by getting an vehicle or something but even that is to slow.

    6. This game is tagged as an RPG but you don't even see damage values popping up when hitting something and there are no skillpoints to set at.

    7. This game is a scam and trash. It is totally overpriced and they don't give you all characters no matter which version you buy.

I want to get this out of the way - bugs. They happen and I'm usually very forgiving with them, as bugs can get fixed with patches but this game can at times be unplayable for reasons beyond my understanding. My PC is well above recommended specs and yet I seem to be unable to avoid occasional frame drops, despite going to such lengths as lowering all the settings as low as possible and lowering the resolution. Crashes seem to occur for no apparent reason, as the game can crash because you took a step... This is an unoptimised game. Worse yet, it's a Japanese game and that means you don't get the options menu until you're about an hour into it and upon reaching said options menu you'll find out that the game's graphics have been set to the max from the get-go, meaning people with weaker computers will get a terrible first impression of the game while approaching the refound time's limit. That was a stupid decision, but most Japan made games do that, hiding the options from the user... Stupid, stupid design philosophy, especially on PC.

Another thing is the graphics themselves. Set in a realistic looking world it looks amazing, the scenery, costumes, props, weapons all look amazing! And then you see the characters and... the art direction was misguided at best. While designs like Kenshiro, Light Yagami or Cell work perfectly with the style and Piccolo's model is a thing of beauty... Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and all characters from One Piece are a thing of nightmares. I just don't know what's wrong with Goku's head/neck but I do know that it made me not want to go to bed... ever... again. That and his sausage arms. Seriously. Bad art direction.

But all that is what you see, bugs and even models can be changed, improved, what cannot be changed are two most important parts: story and gameplay.

The story is simple, Shonen Jump characters are from parallel universes, and someone is attacking all of us, while mixing realities, go stop them. Barebones story to set up a crossover. And it would be fine if the writing was good, but it's not. Most characters lack their character beyond the skin-deep tropes. Goku and Luffy like to eat, the first time it was charming. 24234 time it was not. Those aren't characters we know and care about, those are puppets that cannot be anything more because every second a new one appears. It's just bad fan service. But all that can be forgiven because the gameplay is solid, right? Right? It's solid, right?

Ever played Xenoverse? Maybe those Naruto games or the My Hero Academia one? They all play the same and here it's even more basic due to the variety of skills from mismatched universes that simply weren't designed to work alongside each other. Unless you're trying to tell me that City Hunter protagonist can survive Goku's punch and that his bullets are more than enough to damage Goku. Goku, who as a child got shot by Bulma and had a small scratch. Even if you suspend your disbelief the gameplay is the same old Xenoverse variant, only more limiting as you can't fly and all these heroes have the stamina of a chainsmoking obese man. The combat looks really nice but plays predictably and is boring...

There's a character creator and it's limiting beyond reason. I wasn't able to recreate myself, I wasn't able to recreate any anime character that I felt was missing from the game. There are 5 or 6 maps that are reused all the time. The lack of English voice acting is yet another thing... And those things just add up to a subpar game. Sadly, I can't recommend this game to anyone. Yet, not even Shonen Jump readers should pick this game up.

    -Unbalanced mechanics
    -Some characters have horrible faces
-Little amount of characters to play
-A lot of missing characters like Gintama

Story is something you have seen for the 348th time. Its like a 4 years old made the story.

The fighting in the game is actually not bad but not well made. Especially when the enemy blocks, u can't do much except grabbing him or load your Auto-attack. When u grab the enemy it doesn't to much dmg but throwing him for like 30m away and can't even combo him afterwards. When u try to load your Auto-attack its a big punishment for yourself cause it takes to long. So the enemy can cancel his block and immediately cast his ability or even his ultimate and you can't do anything about it but took huge dmg especially when enemy uses his ultimate.
But the greatest thing when your fighting against AI, u do absoluetly no dmg and AI uses 2-3 Skills and your dead. Every Skill, punch, grab or combos are dealing much much much much more Dmg when Ai is doing it.
Example: You cast your Ultimate attack and you do about 8%-15% Dmg but when Ai is using Ult it does 40%-60% Dmg. Its super mega ultra ridiculous and frustrating at the same time. Your using so much Combos and skills and the AI still has 40%Hp left. But they do 1 combo and ult and your dead. What is this????????????????????????????????????????????????

The most disappointment in the game are the Cosmetics (Outfit/Armor/Clothes). There is absolutley nothing new or special but the same Outfits there are already in the game like u can buy an outfit for goku, vegeta, ruffy, midoriya, ect . U can buy single armor-pieces and combine them but there is no a Wow-effect. U can dress the same as naruto or gaara or combine them together, thats it. Bandai didn't make anything on their own, like outfits that aren't in the Anime-universe, u know something that u can actually combine together and say: wow thats sick. Absolutely nothing new. Its depressing. The worst they did to cosmetics are that u can't even change colors???

Example: There are like 5 Piccolo shoulder armors (those with wide shoulders) that are white but each with different t-shirt-color. So if you buy one armor that has a t-shirt with the color pink but u want it do be red u have to buy that armor piece again for 5k gold....... Sad.

While it has better cutscenes, but sometimes the cutscene in the game is straight up awkward, like the part when the "villains" in the game tried to escape, there will be 2 ways of escaping, just walked to other direction or float slowly into a portal. Which pretty much sums up that they completely lazy to add some animation for their escaping animation.

    - Is it just me or the majority of the main villains' face is pretty much look like they came from Dragon ball's world, *Spoiler* like the director and his Villainy form, Prometheus?

    - Mass Effect Andromeda's lip sync looks better than this game btw

    - 40 jump characters plus 3 DLC characters is pretty good, though i feel like they don't do anything that would help you progress the story or online pvp

    - Story is bland, it's too shonen and there is no multiple ending like what they previously do in SAO:FB

    - A lot of issues, like seriously, A LOTS OF THEM

    - Fight system is pretty bland, you have to make your own combo with ability from different characters the game has to offer, though the enemies just gonna spam your abilities or block everything. Oh, don't forget that everytime you do a progress, the AI still superior both tactics and damage, don't expect too much from your HP, it will drain faster than your enemy AI's HP

    - Play this with your lights on, the graphics is too Flashy, also seizure alert

Conclusion: If you're a Jump fan or simply looking for anime game, i do not recommend this game. but if you insist, go ahead.

When Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft revealed Jump Force at 2018's E3, I was hyped beyond belief. I eagerly anticipated the release and kept up with various updates to the roster and played the Open Betas.

When I finally had my hands on the product, I was disappointed beyond belief. Using a mix of Dragonball Xenoverse and the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games, this 3D arena fighter quickly grows repetitive with characters fighting similarly to one another (with a few exceptions).

While customizing your character and giving them the ability to lean different techniques from other characters is fun, the lack of optimization, lackluster roster and terrible story mode might put you off.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. LOL What happened here... This should have been a swan song wish fulfillment for the fans.
Is this the equivalent of a anime cash grab akin to a **** movie license game?

To be truthful I did not even finish the game since about 3 to 4 hours into the game the flashy and cool fight animations started to get really grinding. I do not know if this was because I am not really into fighting games in general, for example MK or the injustice franchise is a few that i have never played since just arcade type fighting does not do it for me.

This is mainly why I was a lot more disappointed since I expected much more beginning from the free form 3D movement I saw in the trailers up to a good story with all of our favorite anime and manga heroes. But OMG was this a shoddy failure of an attempt.

The story if there is any seemed dull, since I did not finish the game. As around about hour 2 into the game all the dialogue was jarringly just on screen text even though I could clearly see the characters lip movement.
I lost all interest in the game as soon as Light Yagami shows up to my delight with a proper sound plus dialogue cut-scene only for Ryuuk to have the same lazy on screen text dialogue. I just could not take anymore and I uninstalled the game right there.
I was tied into the game for a couple of hours enjoying the average fight mechanics and a little above average Ability animations but gamers like me need a better story and a gamer+fan of the anime sure as hell need a lot more than that. I don't think it should be that hard to come up with an original story for all these anime's to interact with each other.

Wait for a sale or something or maybe if we get a sequel the way it is meant to be.

With that being said, there's also a lot missing from this game, for example, while you can change your outfit, none of them give you bonuses, you cannot buy healing items to take in to combat, the leveling system doesn't allow you to distribute skill points and there's no character sheet to see what your stats are like, because of that, I am seriously questioning if leveling up even does anything.

I like the concept of the game, I like how it looks more realistic in comparison to some of their other games. The game world on high looks genuinely beautiful.

At the end of the day though, the entire time I was playing Jump Force, I was finding myself wishing it was more like Xenoverse. I want to be able to collect equipment that matters, I want to be able to see my character's stats and have a say in how they grow over time. Jump Force feels like an incomplete product.

This is legitimately the WORST designed game I've ever played. They just released the console version on PC and didn't bother to optimize the game or controls. The combat is mediocre at best, the graphics are actually good, and the music is just annoying. The roster is quite big, but there's way too many micro-transactions. The story is also very boring and uninteresting. Not to mention the cutscenes and dialogue. I don't recommend this game, not even on sale.

In short: the game is a total disservice to the fans. Extremely confusing HUD's and lobby, repetitive and poorly made soundtrack, totally forgettable missions and fifth-rate story. The combat, which was supposed to save the game, is repetitive and has a horrible camera set! Navigating the lobby is complete torture, the space feels like a maze, there is always the same annoying music in the background and your character is slow, very slow. And from what I've seen, it's not even possible to enter a "VS" mode without having to enter that hellish lobby. The disregard they had with the game is unbelievable. There's still an avalanche of cutscenes that can't be skipped, and that don't add any crap to the narrative (which in itself is despicable). I just couldn't get a refund because the deadline for doing so had already passed. Expand

The game sucks so bad that I wished it had English voice acting along with the realistic looking graphics that made it look awful. Im sorry Bandai, I love you but if you wanna make a another anime fighting game, make it better than this piece of Garbage.

Jump Force is an interesting experiment, but for its handful of merits there is a ton of annoying shortcomings.

The combat is beautiful and flashy enough to make any fighting game or JRPG fan feel satisfied and while the graphics may seem a bit stiff, none of that matters during the fast-paced matches where you'll probably pay more attention to the ratio between your HP bar and your enemy's. Jump force allows players to finally answer those age-old questions, such as Who would win in a fight between Goku and Naruto Uzumaki?, which have been the subject of debates in forum discussions, memes or video commentaries, and that alone should be enough of a reason to make fans of the genre interested in the game.

While a fighting game featuring a wide variety of Weekly Shonen Jump characters seems like a no-brainer, the shoddy execution and surprisingly limited roster hinder JUMP FORCE from being the all-star it wants to be.
