I don't even know where to begin with this excruciating excuse for a game; from the moment I began playing 'Daikatana', I knew I was standing in it...loading...pretty deep. The game starts off with an incredibly long and outrageously boring cut-scene that could have been done in about ten seconds. Basically, some girl has been kidnapped, and it's up to us to save her so she can use a special sword to save the world or something. Yeah, it's a pretty stupid and dare I say, generic plot. Then the garbage begins and we're forced to fend for ourselves against some evil frogs and dangerous flies. Yeah, those are the first enemies that you will encounter in this game, and boy are they annoying, just like everything else about 'Daikatana'.

Why on earth do I remember this pile of trash as being anything other than...loading...garbage? Was I a silly little child, running around, playing terrible games, thinking they were anything other than junk? Oh that's right, I never owned this game when I was a stupid little kid, it was one of those demos I played over and over again, until I got sick of it and moved on to some other terrible demos. You know, demos, those shiny discs you specifically bought new PC game magazines month after month for; demos. Those were the days, weren't they?

It's a good thing this game only costs...loading...seven dollars?! Are you serious?! Oh please tell me I didn't spend seven dollars on this, oh good I got this game in a Humble Bundle. All is well in the world again. And you'll stay the heck away from this game if you know what's good for ya! Instead try a game like Quake, or Doom, or Unreal, or Half Life, or Duke Nukem, or Shadow Warrior, or FEAR, or Far Cry, or Half Life, or System Shock 2, or Red Faction. Play anything other than this game!

What the ass. talk about sh%^ I would have more fun playing Mario's time machine then this. First off the AI who was responsible to program the AI? I amving it a one because even though the game sucks because of the AI, at least its playable (YES I AM LOOKINGAT YOU BIG RIGS). Expand

    Broken, unable to play. 0/10
I can't get past the first level. The game crashes when I walk up to the big door.
Even if the game did work properly, it has some weird problems encountered in the first level. - By default, you can't save the game without a gem. This can be turned off in the settings, but this actually required a patch after release. The original game with no updates has

    - By default, you can't save the game without a gem. This can be turned off in the settings, but this actually required a patch after release. The original game with no updates has a limited number of saves.
    - The load times are horrendous because the load time is tied to vsync. You need to turn off vsync just for the game to load in a reasonable amount of time.
    - The graphics are not good. I don't mean ugly, but I mean they make the gameplay needlessly difficult. In a game like Doom, you always know when you are looking at a monster. In Daikatana, you will find yourself shooting at a green object against a green background that hovers above green water. I can't tell if I'm shooting an enemy or shooting at a rock.
