Jul 16, 2021The combat system ruins this game. A completly no-sense and boring system. Music is nice and story looks interesting although, but I gave up because of the combat system

Jul 18, 2021Great game with an intriguing plot. You can feel the Earthbound inspiration from both the plot and style of the game. A quick 10 to 12 hour RPG well worth the time it takes to play it. No need to spend hours grinding. You can jump into the important parts which are the story battles. Every character is compelling and fun to engage with.

Dec 22, 2020Best indie game of the year. Had more fun with this than several big budget games. Great story, fun turn based gameplay. Utter classic

Dec 18, 2021Final verdict: 8 out of 10 - Excellent.
One of the RPGs I was most addicted to - plus it has a heartwarming story although I wish we did more exploring around the school. Some difficulty spikes but overall the progression is just right, even with some broken spells at times. -
Mar 8, 2021Ikenfell is an extremely charming RPG that has a unique grid combat system with an amazing world, story, and characters brimming with personality, It does take a while for the story to get interesting and some of the timed attacks are hard to get the hang of, but overall, it is a game I would highly recommend.

Dec 4, 2020Happy Ray Games succeeded in what they were aiming for with Ikenfell, I just wish they aimed a bit higher. The story doesn’t pick up for a long portion at the beginning of the game, and the battle system is interesting but nothing groundbreaking. There is still some enjoyment to be had with Ikenfell, but it feels like it’s missing some magic.

Nov 13, 2020There's a lot to love about Ikenfell: its characters, charming narrative, and polished strategic combat all come together to create something truly unique and magical. While it calls on themes from other pop culture titles, the story within is all its own. Slow at first, Ikenfell's true narrative starts to unravel as you meet new friends and unlock clues behind Maritte's sister's disappearance. For $19.99, Ikenfell is well worth the price if you're a fan of pixel games with an inclusive storyline and a beautiful soundtrack.

Oct 23, 2020While I greatly appreciated and enjoyed the story, music, and ambiance of ikenfell, the repetitive nature of combat began to wear on me towards the end despite initially standing out as a fresh take on a classic. Patience will be paramount for those looking to enjoy this gem that is just lacking a bit of polish.
