Very good idea, very poorly executed.

The game is just a minor improvement over "crusaders of the lost idols" except it's too new and unripe to be as fun to play as the other one.

Is has absolutely nothing to do with d&d. They deserve nobody ever playing it just for how , once again, someone abused d&d name to lure people in, and just make yet another game that has nothing to do with d&d spirit.

Idle influence is too strong and it ruins everything, What's the point of having dozens of different characters if everything you will end up with is a single character doing damage while the other ones just need to be set-up in a way to make your one and only damage dealer reach highest possible dps?

Why put d&d stats and modifiers if they don't do absolutely anything? It's a farce.
Of course, even if they did, it would be useless. you only ever use one single character at the time, you don't even feel like they are actually characters.

Idle champions is one of those games you dont have to spend much time in, but it's also one of those games in which "if you choose to" you'llIdle champions is one of those games you dont have to spend much time in, but it's also one of those games in which "if you choose to" you'll be stuck there for hours. Fans of d&d will see characters they know and get to use. There isn't much in the way of something new besides being forced into using a certain formation, or locked into using characters of certain race or alignment, but there's plenty to do. This is a clicker game at it's core, however you eventually can automate everything.
With that being said, there is a bit of pay to win mechanics in the game. You can buy pets that click for you, and the more you have, the more you can automate. You can also buy new heroes, and even chests to level up their stuff, so in that nature it can be very pay to win if you want it to be. There are frequent events however that allow you to unlock all the champions for free, and during those events even gear them out quite well, so even without putting money in you can progress just fine.
All and all, it's a game you can forget about for a week, and come back and your heroes on missions will still be out fighting, and you can jump right in and see how they're doing.

Moderately enjoyable experience but it is insanely addictive. After spending 251 hours in the game I do not recommend picking this up.
