Jan 1, 2017A clever and accessible combat system masks a brilliant meta commentary. [Issue#258, p.63]

Dec 20, 2016Icey is a fantastic combination of a great slasher and intriguing story, with original narration. It could seem strange at first glance, but it's a great game, unique and engaging.

Game World Navigator MagazineMar 1, 2017ICEY is as normal of a platformer as The Stanley Parable is a normal adventure game; and though it will take just a few hours to find all hidden endings, Easter eggs and achievements, the experience is more than worth it. [Issue#217, p.84]

Feb 7, 2017Brilliant art design, lovely script, and great production values make ICEY one of the best indie titles I have ever reviewed.
-
Dec 27, 2016A brilliant and unpredictable 2D action game, that demonstrates how interesting and mature the chinese indie scene can be. It's not a perfect game, but it's still highly recommended to anyone who loves experimental narrative and tight gameplay.

Dec 15, 2016Icey is a fun action packed little indie game that isn’t afraid to get weird.
-
Feb 8, 2017Groovy, sarcastic and pleasantly crazy. Icey is basically an action-filled spiritual successor to The Stanley Parade.
-
Apr 26, 2017IInteresting philosophical spin on your typical 2d platformer.
-
Mar 8, 2017If you’re looking for something challenging and a little different to lose yourself in for a few hours, ICEY is super cool. Puns absolutely intended.
-
Mar 5, 2017Combining solid hack 'n' slash gameplay mechanisms and unique metagaming elements, Icey is one of the most remarkable indie action games out there.
-
Feb 10, 2017Icey is kind of weird and extremely difficult. At the same time it’s also fast-paced, action-packed, unique and full of surprises, which along with a fantastic story will keep you engaged for a long time.
-
Aug 9, 2017I’m pretty fond of ICEY. The combat could (and should) be better but I enjoyed my time with it, and appreciated its willingness to whip out the sort of unexpected, bizarre narrative twists that most games don’t even consider.
